CW: Self-harm, sex Spoke to myself about how traumatic it is to live in our society, how vulnerability in community is strength, how stressful it is to be a revolutionary, leftist infighting, security culture and trust, my travels with bipolar disorder, societal norms, radical self care by any means necessary, me being sad and day drunk, Sabbath rest, structural violence, recovery, keeping perspective, living in service, how we are all hopeless romantics, and that I love you all like pancakes. Notes:- I realized I didn't do a good job of talking about gaining perspective, and that all that we white anarchists are afraid of is basically just being black in America, and that some fear is good for us in building empathy. Also that living in service is about staying humble and giving thanks for all that we have and to bring what we have to those that need immediate relief. -I don't want to necessarily suggest that people should use some of the methods that I have, but I wanted to be honest and open about my lived experience. I didn't mention many of the societally sanctioned coping mechanisms I also use including art, dance, and music, which are super important, because this episode was more focused on the ugly side of self care. The arts are a really big part of my survival. The same goes for my spiritual & religious practice.-On the lithium blood draws, I only got an 8" bruise once, I don't know wtf happened there, usually they were only 1"-2" or so with the bad needles, or didn't show at all when I had adequate care. Also want to reiterate that even with all of the bullshit that went along with it, I am very glad that I was on lithium for the time I needed it. Nazis On UO Campus 4.20.17

There were nazis on University of Oregon campus today, and since we are in Eugene, we're reporting back and doing some analysis. The conversation developed into a larger discussion about cultural context, media interactions, tactics, and the nature of anarchism. Berkeley and Pepsi both get shout-outs, too.*This was really off the cuff, we wanted to get this out on the day of. There's a lot to talk about concerning methods of social change, martyrdom, etc that deserve more attention.
