Muddle thyme leaves, than add other ingredients, then ice and stir. Strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with thyme sprig and a twist.

1 dash Angostura bitters
1 dash Peychaud’s bitters
Green Chartreuse rinse
cherry for garnish

Combine rye, calvados, vermouth and bitters in a mixing glass with ice and stir to combine. Pour enough Chartreuse into a rocks glass to coat the inside, then pour out (into your mouth). Stain from the mixing glass into the prepared rocks glass, and garnish was a cherry.

Combine all ingredients in a shake without ice and shake for 20 seconds. Add ice and shake for a further 30 seconds. Strain into rocks glass over a large fresh ice cube.

4oz Bloody Mary Mix, composed of:

3 cups tomato juice

1 1/2oz lemon juice

1 1/2oz lime juice

1tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2tsp horseradish

1 1/2 tsp salt

1tsp celery salt

3/4tsp pepper

2tsp periperi sauce

2oz Dark Rum

Dash of Periperi sauce

Garnishes

gherkins

cherry tomatoes

beef jerky

olives

lemon wedge

celery salt

Make Bloody Mary mix by combining ingredients in a jug and whisking, then refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight. Rub lemon wedge around the rim of glass, and dip in celery salt. Fill a rocks glass with ice. Pour in rum, then periperi sauce. Top up with Bloody Mary Mix. Garnish with a skewer featuring an assortment of garnishes.

Combine ingredients in a shaker or heavy-bottomed glass and using a muddler or wooden spoon, crush the sugar and bruise the mint. Pour into a tall glass, and top up with crushed ice. dash bitters around the insider of the glass, and add more crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig.

Combine ingredients except rosemary and cayenne in a rocks glass with ice, and stir to combine. Top with cayenne pepper and garnish with rosemary sprig.

*You make a smouldering rosemary sprig by holding fresh rosemary over a flame, letting it catch alight, then blowing it out, so it smoulders like incense. Do this right before you serve, so there’s some aromatic smoke around the glass.

1oz white rum

1oz dark rum

1 1/2oz orange juice

1oz lemon juice

1/4oz lime juice

1/4oz grenadine

1oz blue curaçao

Crushed ice

spring of mint for garnish

Combine ingredients in a blender with ice, and pulse to combine. Pour into a hurricane glass and garnish with mint.

2oz botanical gin

1/2oz dry vermouth

1/2oz sweet vermouth

1 dash green chartreuse*

Lemon twist, for garnish

Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice, and shake vigourously (or stir, if you’re a purist). Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a twist of lemon.

*Depending on your taste, you can vary the amount of Chartreuse from just a dash to a full teaspoon.

This is a drink that knows how to show someone a good time. Boy, it’s something.

1 1/2oz blended scotch*

1oz grapefruit juice

1/2 oz lemon juice

3 dashes Mr. Bitters Fig & Cinnamon Bitters**

1 tsp demerara or brown sugar

1 dash soda water

citrus peel for garnish

Combine sugar and bitters in a rocks glass and stir until sugar dissolves. Add juices, scotch, and soda water, add a large ice cube, and spin the glass twice. Twist a citrus peel over the drink, rub along the edge of the glass, and serve.

*specifically something middle of the road. Nothing too fancy (your 10-year-old Laphroaig will drown in these big flavours), but not bottom shelf garbage either.

Combine gin and coffee or coffee liqueur with ice in a beaker and stir to combine. Strain over new ice in an old fashioned glass, and top up with tonic water. Squeeze lemon wedge into glass and drop in.

I’ll hand you a drink of the lovely little thing upon which our survival depends. Everything's gonna be okay soon. Maybe tomorrow, maybe the next day.

2oz gin
1oz lime juice
10 mint leaves, slightly bruised
1oz ginger apple lemon tea syrup*
Soda or sparkling water
Combine all ingredients except soda in a shaker with ice and shake vigourously. Strain into an old fashioned glass with one or two large ice cubes, and top up with soda. For a sweeter drink, replace the sparkling water with lemon-lime soda.

*Combine equal parts water and sugar with a lemon’s worth of peel and a supermarket ginger apple herbal tea bag. Bring to a boil, allow to cool, then strain into a bottle. Keeps for 2 weeks.

1 egg white
2-3oz fruit-forward red wine, such as Shiraz or Malbec
Combine bourbon, amaro, lemon juice and simple syrup in a shaker, add egg white and shake vigourously without ice until emulsified. Add ice and shake again. Strain into an old fashioned glass with one or two large ice cubes, and top up with red wine, pouring over the back of a spoon.

2 tbsp honey

1 tsp ground cinnamon
5-6 pineapple rounds

Combine in a bowl and marinate. Grill on each side for 4-5 minutes, and set aside to cool.

2 rounds grilled pineapple
1oz lime juice
1 tsp honey
1oz orange juice
sparkling water
Combine pineapple, lime and honey in a heavy-based glass and muddle. Add orange juice and ice and stir. Top up with sparkling water.

lemon and mint, for garnish
2-3oz ginger beer (optional, for highball)
Combine lemon, maple syrup and bitters in a glass and muddle, then add blueberries and muddle further. Add ice and bourbon, and stir. Either strain into a cocktail glass, or pour into a highball glass and add 2-3 ounces of ginger beer. Garnish with more blueberries, lemon and mint.

10 mint leaves
4 drops blue curaçao

Combine ingredients except blue curaçao in a blender with 6 ice cubes, and blend until smooth. Pour into cocktail glass and add drops of blue curaçao on top.

Alternatively, this drink can be served as an up drink, shaken, if you omit the mint.

Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice, and shake vigourously. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with lemon twist and cherry.

-For the classic Aviation, reduce the gin by 1/2 ounce and replace the elderflower with 3/4oz Creme de Violette or Creme Yvette.

1oz vodka
1oz elderflower liqueur
1oz Calvados
1oz lemon juice
Orange peel, for garnish

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, and shake vigorously for 30 seconds to combine. Strain into are-chilled cocktail glass. Serve neat as a martini, or add ice and 3 ounces of club soda for a highball.

It’s a drink to quiet our minds, calm our hearts, and move toward deeper levels of our own nature

1 teaspoon dry vermouth
1 1/2oz single malt scotch
1/2oz Pedro Ximenez sherry
1/2oz Amaro Montenegro
2 grinds black pepper
twist of lemon, to garnish

Pour the vermouth into a cocktail glass, turning the glass to coat the entire internal surface. Combine scotch, sherry, amaro and pepper in a mixing jug with ice and stir rapidly to combine. Tip the vermouth out of the glass, and strain in the cocktail. Top with another grind of pepper, and garnish with a twist of lemon peel

1/2 an egg white
1 dash Angostura bitters

Combine in a shaker without ice and shake for 30 seconds to emulsify egg. Add ice and shake hard for 30 seconds until the outside of the shaker frosts over. Strain into cocktail glass, using a fine mesh strainer if you have one.

1oz Jim Beam Fire or Fireball Whiskey
3 dashes hot sauce
Layer coffee liqueur and Jim Beam in a cocktail glass, and add hot sauce.

Bonus Cocktail: Death Flip

You don’t want to meet this drink in a dark alley while knifin’ around.

1/2oz Green Chartreuse
1/2oz Jagermeister
1/4oz simple syrup
1 whole egg
pinch of grated nutmeg (garnish)

It hurts, but it’s worth it. 2oz tequila 1/2oz Cointreau 1/2 oz simple syrup 3/4oz lime juice 1/4 tsp chilli flakes 1 pinch chipotle chilli powder lime wedge toasted sriracha salt* jalepeno slice, for garnish Run lime wedge around the edge of the glass, then dip into toasted sriracha salt. Combine tequila, simple syrup, Cointreau, lime juice, chipotle powder and chilli flakes in a shaker with ice. Shake, then strain into prepared cocktail glass, using a fine mesh strainer. Garnish with jalepeno slice. *mix together 4 tbsp sea salt and a tsp of sriracha until completely coated. Along the way, we discuss how scrumping is less fun when you’re surrounded by angry livestock instead of apples, how, with the right combination of spells, a sorcerer can become Spider-Man, and a criminally underrated artist… that everyone already knows about. Signature Cocktail: the Trap Door You gain intuitive insight into the workings of traps. In addition, you gain an insight bonus equal to one-half your caster level (maximum +10) on Search checks made to find traps while the drink is in effect. Note the tasty beverage grants no ability to find your feet. 1oz vodka 1oz spiced rum 1/2oz lime juice 2oz orange juice* 1oz club soda or sparkling mineral water Combine all ingredients except club soda in a beaker with ice and stir to combined. Strain into a double old fashioned glass, add fresh, then top up with club soda. Along the way, we discuss video game rental etiquette, the name of the guy at the beginning of xXx that gets shot at the Rammstein concert, and the heartbreak and tragedy of Castlevania II. Signature Cocktail: the Sommerswerd This drink is surprisingly overpowered, but doesn’t break the game. Also it can turn water… into blues. Just don’t shit-talk any boats. 2oz dark rum 1/2oz lemon juice 1/4 oz lime juice 1 dash pineapple juice 1 dash simple syrup 1 dash grenadine 1/2oz 151 rum 2oz club soda or sparkling water Combine all ingredients except 151 and club soda in a shaker with ice and shake until combined. Strain into a cocktail glass over ice and top up with club soda. Float 151 on top by pouring it over the back of a spoon. Alternatively, you could reserve an empty lime half, float it on top of the drink, fill it with 151, and set it on fire. Garnish with a sprig of mint (and a Batman). Bonus Cocktail: the Christmas Sims Here’s to good conversations, late night experiments, and seeing the back of 2016. 1.5 charred strawberries* 1oz simple syrup 1oz botanical gin 3oz Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction Snap liqueur club soda In a Boston shaker, muddle 1 and 1/2 charred strawberries with 1oz simple syrup until pumped. Add gin and Snap liqueur. Shake until combined, about 30 seconds. Strain, over ice, into a cocktail glass, and top up with club soda. *heat a non-stick skillet on the stove on high. Trim and halve 5 or 6 large strawberries and dry-fry them in the pan until seared on all sides, then remove from pan and allow to cool. Signature Mocktail: Helryx Cooler Despite being a Toa of water, Helryx is fierce and quick to anger, with a surprisingly fiery temper. • 4 cups seedless watermelon • 1 cup coconut water • 1 1/3 cups of jalepeno simple syrup* • Mint • Lime Combine watermelon, coconut water and simple syrup in a blender and pulse until smooth. Taste and add more or less syrup to taste. Pour into a glass with ice, garnishing with a mint sprig and a twist of lime. *combine 2 cups of sugar with 2 cups of water, and drop in two jalepenos, sliced lengthwise. Bring to a boil on the stove, and let boil for 1 minute before straining into a container. Will keep in the fridge for up to a month. I used dark brown sugar and green jalepenos, but feel free to try superfine sugar for a cleaner taste or red chillies for more fire. Strain into the rinsed cocktail glass. *if Lillet Blanc can’t be found, substitute dry Italian vermouth **You can substitute Pernod, Jagermeister, or even aged rum, depending on your preference. Signature Cocktail: The Hoboken It’s not quite Manhattan, but it’s not quite Bensonhurst either. • 2 oz rye whiskey • 1/2 oz Cointreau • 1/2 oz dry Italian vermouth • 2 shakes Angostura bitters Combine all ingredients in a shaker with crushed ice. Shake vigorously until frost forms on outside of shaker. Strain into a pre-chilled cocktail glass. Just remember to turn left at the fork in the road. 1.5 oz botanical gin 1 oz green chartreuse 1.3 oz lemon juice 1 dash orange bitters 1 egg white 1 oz rosemary simple syrup* Combine ingredients in a shaker without ice, and shake for 20 seconds, until the egg begins to foam. Add ice and shake for a further 30 seconds. Strain into a double old fashioned glass, and garnish with lemon peel and a rosemary spring. *bring equal parts of sugar and water to a boil with 4 sprigs of rosemary. Shake vigorously until frost forms on outside of shaker. Pour without straining into a double old-fashioned glass. Using the back of a spoon, float sherry on top, and garnish with mint.
