Pan Dulce LIfe Season 4 Episode 27 - In Memory Of Jay Valdez

Hello friends. Today, it is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we bring you this episode of "The Pan Dulce Life Mixshow." Earlier this week, our family lost our dear friend and fellow DJ, Jose "Jay" Valdez.

On behalf of the entire Pan Dulce Life family, we offer our heartfelt condolences to Jay's family. His memory will forever live in our hearts.

Jay was an influential figure and trailblazer in the Latin DJ community, having co-founded the BPM Latino record pool for DJs. He was also one of the very first guests we had on this show and was a resident DJ at Onyx Nightclub in San Diego alongside DJ Refresh. We are super grateful for his contributions.

To honor Jay, we're dedicating this episode to him by sharing a mix he recorded around 2010-2011. It consists of house music from that era as well as some throwback jams, and truly showcases Jay's talent as a DJ. Check out the original artwork Jay used for this mix on our IG.

"The Pan Dulce Life Mixshow" is back in the swing of this so we're capping off the month of June with a heater of an episode! Today, hosts DJ Refresh and Murcielago Mayor welcome the great DJ Tiny T from New York City for a special guest mix.

But before we get to that, warming things up today is resident Pan Dulce Life mixer DJ Huggz from Irvine, CA. His 30-minute set consists of Latin-influenced house music, reggaeton, and moombahton.

Tiny T then takes over the last half of the show with an awesome high-energy mix full of reggaeton, guaracha, dembow, and more! Based in NYC, Tiny T is a mixer on La Mega 97.9 FM and AMOR 93.1 FM. He's best known as a remixer for Pro Latin Remix.

To do so, resident Pan Dulce Life mixshow DJ, Zay, drops a special set full of dope tracks he feels didn't get the attention they deserve due to the pandemic. His 30-minute mix consists of pure "hitazos" in reggaeton, dembow, Latin-influenced house music, and more!

We're back! After taking a break last week, we're returned with a fresh new episode of "The Pan Dulce Life Mixshow" with DJ Refresh and Murcielago Mayor!

Holding things down today is resident Pan Dulce Life mixer DJ LG and special guest DJ MCJR.

As usual, LG drops a highly entertaining 30-minute set. This man doesn't miss! It consists of guaracha, Latin-influenced house music, reggaeton, and more. Based in Sacramento, LG is a mixer on 103.5 FM Fuego Nights Mixshow and a resident at Faces Nightclub.

MCJR is a DJ/producer from Annandale, Virginia. In May, he dropped his new single "Fin De Semana," which you can stream on all music platforms now. Go check it out! As far as his guest mix, it's 30-minutes of certified pasos prohibidos.

Today, we officially introduce our boy DJ Huggz as a resident mixshow DJ! Based in Irvine, CA, Huggz has been part of the team behind the scenes since 2017. He now steps in to join DJ LG and DJ Zay in providing monthly mixes. Make sure to show him some love!
