Did it go well? Yeah, it did ACTUALLY! The boys stormed it, with guest producer Lou keeping everything ticking along smooth.

We had many discussions in the studio with features ranging from Thing You Know You Don't Know to What Would Your Boxing Nickname and Walkout Song Be. It was a blast. We also had emails from listeners entering a competition with their most Awkward Moments. Whoo! It lived up to the hype.

Dougal, Jim and Liam weren't the only voices you heard. We had help from Kellet McHandy for the News. Herbirt Kitson Kitson our star Weather Reporter. And Trite Harshifact with Travel. The best was saved until last with Colin Rogers who gave us some incredible fashion advice. Don't think this is the last you'll be hearing from him round these parts. To top it all off, we had some great tunes and ads.

Due to the sudden and loud nature of the game the audio volume will vacillate between being of hopefully a reasonable level to being a lot quieter. This is because there are explosions of sound and I didn't want anyone's eardrums to take a hammering. And, it is true, that in previous years I would have painstakingly went through the full edit and tweaked things with such precision that this warning would not be needed. However the thought of doing so now fills me with a dread I dare not name. I have lowered the parts where it goes berserk but it may not be as seamless as it should be. Jim attempts (and somewhat fails) to make an interesting point about how decades change every 10 years. Or something. This is Jim typing right now and even after listening to it I'm not quite sure what I was on about. I also keep saying "you're hard" which is annoying. I generally feel like I'm being annoying in these episodes so just a warning.

The latter half is generally quieter because things turn into a singing guessing game. We have to sing songs when Dougal prompts us with some lyrics. Again, I can only apologise for my efforts. But I'm sure it won't spoil the fun. Danny and Lou are on top form as well as always. And the other two lads do just fine...Bucket hats! I meant bucket hats. I'm hard!*

I just noticed that Jim reads emails was our 3 year anniversary episode... So with very little left to describe I'll say thanks for listening to us for over 3 years now. Maybe we will catch the 200th episode. It's only 41 episodes away now.

This is part of our Night at the Proms serial. I don't think I've mentioned this Night at the Pods thing before, and I don't know how often we mentioned it in the episodes (if at all); but we've essentially nicked the format of other podcasts as an ode to our favourite shows.

The name "Night at the Pods" is in reference to "Night at the Proms". For any of you who don't know what The Proms are: The BBC Proms or Proms, formally named the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts Presented by the BBC, is an eight-week summer season of daily orchestral classical music concerts and other events held annually, predominantly in the Royal Albert Hall in central London.

Prom is short for promenade concert, a term which originally referred to outdoor concerts in London's pleasure gardens, where the audience was free to stroll around while the orchestra was playing. In the context of the BBC Proms, promming refers to the use of the standing areas inside the hall (the Arena and Gallery) for which ticket prices are much lower than for the seating. Proms concert-goers, particularly those who stand, are sometimes referred to as "Prommers" or "Promenaders".

Album Recommendation of Last Week: "Under the Iron Sea" - Keane (2006)

In this episode we each chose a movie McGuffin and tried to apply it to a task in the real world. A McGuffin being an object in a film or book which serves to motivate the plot. The objects and tasks were varied and unexpected to say the least.

Jim used the notebook from Death Note for the gentle passing of the critically infirmed. Dougal used the rug from The Big Lebowski to temporarily appease rivalling political factions (which included aliens by the way). And Liam used The Ark of The Covenant to dust gymnast's hands...What an episode!

WARNING: Some of the content of the script is quite simply unacceptable. The gender and sexual politics are at times, frankly, frighteningly worrying. However the characters do address this at certain points and the writers spend a long time regretting how bad it is. And some of the script is badly written. No, horrendously written. It was penned with all the gusto and ignorance of two drunk college guys trying to make each other laugh. Using gross nonsense as their weapons of choice at times. And simply nonsense at others.

We do hope you enjoy this early work. There are some sparks of quality and some genuinely funny moments. We will let you decide.

You can also expect hellscapes, fears and unforgettably bleak imagery. It really is a superb episode of this light-hearted "comedy" podcast.

Jim takes the quiz far too seriously and emits some strange sounds whilst trying to give his answers. Apparently he ties a lot of his already diminished self-esteem to his film knowledge. It's time for the Frankenstein's Monster of an episode which is Jim's Music History.

After the technical failure of Jim technically failing to podcast well - we have this very crafty version of the episode. Basically Jim deleted his side of the episode and he has spliced himself into the rest of the original recordings. So apologies for the little hiccups and volume changes throughout. Every effort has been made to make it sound as real smooth and very cool as it always does but some imperfections have endured.

This is the last episode of Season 3. However we will have a few bonus episodes coming up over the next few weeks in between Season 3 and 4. There'll be a couple of surprises in the interim as well - so look out for those.

Album Recommendation of the Week: Maggot Brain by Funkadelic (1971)

So this is more of a vocal collage than our more structured podcast episodes. We do bits and bobs in this one. It's a hodgepodge...A chatty casserole, if you like.

Firstly we discuss the music and movies that we enjoyed from last year. Some new releases and some new discoveries. We launch the Album Recommendation of the Week feature. Liam then gets us to ponder over which celebrities we'd choose to adopt us. Dougal poses the question of what music we intend to get into in 2021. It is all quite earnest and decidedly more genuine than previous outputs.

It all culminates in a great quiz compiled by Liam. And the final question throws us for a loop. The outcome is genuinely very impressive and Liam duped Dougal and Jim a belter.
