So is this the last episode Nigel is appearing on? Spoiler, yes it is. I (Nigel) just wanna say a massive thank you to anyone who's listened or watched the podcast over the last three years. It's one of the biggest achievements I've ever done and to do it for nearly three years is amazing. Adam and Freddie both know how much I respect and appreciate what they have done, they have edited 96% of these podcasts and I've done the easy bit of talking about a sport we all love. Take care, put some effort in, see what happens. Nigel.

We also want to send the best wishes to everyone affected by the flooding in the region as well including those who have travelled for the race this weekend. We hope everyone stays as safe as possible.

So many incidents! Sao Paulo GP review | Winging It F1 podcast

We liked that. A fantastic weekend in Brazil that still hasn't changed Nigel's mind about sprint races, but we don't let that dampen our spirits.

There was the Magnussen pole, the Alpines crashing into each other twice, the Aston Martin drivers nearly crashing, George Russell getting the first win of his F1 career, Magnussen and Ricciardo crashing, a safety car, Hamilton and Verstappen crashing, Norris and Leclerc crashing and Norris causing another safety car with his DNF.

Oh and George Russell won his first Grand Prix.

So with all that going on, it's quite impressive that we covered everything in 52 minutes. We'll let you be the judge of whether we covered it well...

It's the second Drugovich disagreement of the year between Adam and Nigel, while Freddie is heard beamed in all the way from Brands Hatch - nearly.

And we get some Austin chat at the end too, Nigel has his say on whether it's worth taking an engine penalty at CotA.

Well, at the end of 2022 Sebastian Vettel's time in F1 will be over. He's walking away after he finishes his second season with Aston Martin and, as you'd expect, the much loved driver is going to be hugely missed. He's an excellent driver, four world championships are under his belt for a reason, and he'll be missed. Silly season is upon us F1 fans!

Even when it looks like there won't be many storylines, there are tonnes. There are so many potential moves that could throw the F1 paddock into craziness.

In the shadow of the football result, the three of us attempt to fight our way through rumours, defending ourselves from negativity and unfortunate luck but whilst these obstacles may choose to hurt us, we will never let them and will get to the very end of this podcast no matter how angry it makes Nigel.

Honestly, this podcast was supposed to cheer him up. It seemed to infuriate him no end, God knows how annoyed he was earlier, for someone who doesn't know much about football, he was truly a shadow of a man.

But all credit to him, he fought on, through the wind, walked on through the rain, though his dreams were tossed and blown, he walked on, walked on, with hope in his heart. And he'll never walk alone!

He'll never walk alone.

None of us have even seen Carousel.

We're back for part 2 of our big old greatest British sportsperson debate! We had so much to say, we split it into two parts! Lucky you, it

would've been an hour and a half otherwise, oh my.

If you haven't heard part 1 of this little debate then please do check it out, that is where we start the conversation off by talking about Sir Lewis Hamilton, Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Andy Murray.

We go a bit less mainstream for this episode and there's no messing around, we're straight into it, most sports get a shoutout for their most respected stars, even Snooker (but is Snooker a sport?), so much to discuss and hopefully we do everybody justice!

Henry continues to predominantly be a Cricket journalist with experience at Wisden Cricket, Sky Sports News and the Daily Mail. He also continues to be studying for a BA in Journalism Studies at the University of Sheffield.

This is a question that's been on everybody's minds since Sir Lewis Hamilton surpassed Michael Schumacher's win record in 2020. Where does 7 time world champion Hamilton rank in the upper echelons of British sport?

Is the all time number 1? Is he just a contender? Who beats him?

All these questions are answered as we discuss who is the greatest British sportsperson.

In this episode we make the case for Hamilton as well as two legends in Olympic Rower Sir Steven Redgrave and Wimbledon champion Sir Andy Murray.

To help us we are joined by all round sports journalist Henry Clark. Henry is predominantly a Cricket journalist with experience at Wisden Cricket, Sky Sports News and the Daily Mail. He is studying for a BA in Journalism Studies at the University of Sheffield. Henry has been a long time supporter of Winging It so it is brilliant to have him on.

Every week we seem to talk about driver news every week and this is no exception.

The whole theme of the podcast is the majority of the 2021 F1 grid. There are so many rumours at the moment. It is ridiculous.

Lots of confirmed drivers are still being rumoured about and Racing Point and Perez have proved contracts mean nowt.

The usual players are discussed (Albon, Grosjean, Illot) and a few surprise names are now in the mix (Russell, Mazepin, Lundgaard).

Hamilton won the Eifel Grand Prix from Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo after a wonderfully bonkers race at the Nürburgring this afternoon.
