			<description><![CDATA[<p>In 2019, UpEffect and the <a href="http://www.the-ifes.org/?fbclid=IwAR3NmpzOwUB64sdcs5vY9rt1xjZkTi4bRlYDCSIOwN59PmpbNWnvAMagEhI" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Islamic Finance and Ethics Society</a>&nbsp;had the honour of hosting&nbsp;<a href="https://hodakatebi.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Hoda Katebi </a>at Kings College London. The goal of this event was ambitious: let's get&nbsp;real and address the state of the fashion industry, what financial equity is and why capitalism is broken. There is much to learn from Hoda but this event was a brief glimpse into the vast knowledge and experience she brings to the industry (much of it being exemplified through her recent initiative, an apparel manufacturing <a href="https://bluetinproduction.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">workers co-operative</a> run by working class women of colour).</p><br><p>We're delighted to now bring this conversation to our Re-envision Business listeners as we know so many of you will enjoy it. The goal of this event was ambitious: let's get&nbsp;real and address the state of the fashion industry, what financial equity is and why capitalism is broken. There is much to learn from Hoda but this event was a brief glimpse into the vast knowledge and experience she brings to the industry (much of it being exemplified through her recent initiative, an apparel manufacturing <a href="https://bluetinproduction.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">workers co-operative</a> run by working class women of colour).</p><br><p>We're delighted to now bring this conversation to our Re-envision Business listeners as we know so many of you will enjoy it.
