After becoming the top scorer in the league more than one time she moved abroad to play for Bordeaux in France before signing with the Toffees in the summer of 2022. Lena Oberdorf is considered as one of Germany’s greatest talents and she joined multiple Frauen Bundesliga Champions Vfl Wolfsburg in the summer of 2020 coming from SGS Essen. Only 18 years old she just had been named “the world’s most talented teenager” by Goal, as Germany’s youngest ever World Cup player.

Two years later, in 2022, she showed off on the biggest stage in the Euro in England and was then rewarded with two nominations; UEFA’s best player of the year and the Balon d’Or.

The midfielder joined in for an episode on the podcast talking about her extension with Wolfsburg, why the club is the best environment for her at the moment and why she has a private football coach that she trains with when she is not training or playing games with Wolfsburg or Germany’s national team.

Willie says that the quarter-final between France and Germany is one of the best games he has ever seen, and he also feels a bit sorry for Peter Gerhardsson and Sweden.

We also predict the final, and Willie explains why both teams can win this UEFA Women's Euro 2022 final and get their hands on the trophy on Sunday, July 31.
