Previously a springboard diver, Antonia transitioned to circus from a young age which lead her to completing her full time training at the National Institute of Circus Arts where she received the artistic excellence award for her two showcase acts.

Graduating with disciplines in contortion straps and roue Cyr, She has been apart of numerous productions including Mansion, The experience, Crème De la Crème (Head First Acrobats), Circus The Show (showmen productions), Oracle, as well as being an original cast member of the award winning Phat Cab Club, (mother fishers). 

In 2024 she performed as Prima aerialist for Matador, intimo (Gluttony, 2024), as well as joining the Cast of the award winning show Club D’amour and Happy Endings, as well as being apart of the closing cast for Strut&Frets “The Purple Rabbit” on board The Pacific Explorer.

When she is not performing, Antonia enjoys creating new and exciting acts for cabaret shows in Western Australia, as well as being a flexibility specialist and Pilates instructor, and it’s a focus on body maintenance for full time circus artists and athletes.

Nova Mystique began her performance journey in Adelaide early 2023 as an aerialist and performance artist with productions such as Inferno and Devious Adelaide before she stepped foot into the world of burlesque and sideshow.

She officially made her burlesque and sideshow debut in Fringe World Perth 2024, as Wednesday Addams, solidifying her status as a rising star in the burlesque and sideshow scene and becoming a regular at the Adelaide burlesque Rooftop Bar Nineteen Ten.

Inspired by the overwhelming love she received in the Boorloo arts community, she made the choice to move from Adelaide to Perth in July 2024 to fully immerse herself in her craft and create things that feel true to herself. As a lesbian, she’s really found her place within the queer community here which intersects so deeply with burlesque.

Cece comes from an extensive background in the performing arts. Cece has been fronting and composing original music for bands since the age of 14, where she has opened for an array of touring international acts such as Motion City Soundtrack and Say Anything.

Cece then took her singing abilities to The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts where she trained as a contemporary singer. Since then, she has been regularly booked as a singer for professional events and high-end functions.

Among this, Cece also holds musical theatre experience in rolls such as Miss Hannigan in Annie and Frenchie in Grease. Her knack for character acting, accents and voices have not only made her a a valuable addition to any theatre production, but have made her a strong cabaret performer today.

I fell in love with dance as a very young girl, and while my first introduction to the stage probably wasn’t what my mother envisioned (I refused to go on after a whole year of Saturday morning classes), I now crave the limelight!

But don’t stress, I didn’t start Fempower to get my five seconds of fame, or force you to get yours; I started it because I was over the age of 30 and found myself kicking and leaping across studio floors with teenagers (who I respect and adore, but cannot keep up with) thinking, what am I doing here? My days of competition and comparison are behind me, and so on the streets of Bunbury CBD on a random Friday, the idea of Fempower Dance Co was born.

I designed a space for people who wanted to dance for fun, where we don’t have to mind our manners or worry about young ears listening to adult conversations, and where we can move sensually, sexually, without fear or concern of judgment. I am so proud of the inclusive and empowering space I have created, and look forward to welcoming you into it this year!

At WAAPA Aria graduated after having excelled achieving two classical music degrees. This laid the ground work for her dynamic versatility which extends from solo performances to composing and conducting. (Best Sound for a Documentary - Australian Screen Sound Guild Awards, 2022). As a producer, Aria created the greatly adored “Rural Community Choirs” throughout regional WA. These continue to provide invaluable creative outlets to remote areas and uplifting entertainment for marginalised communities.

With the aim of giving back to the community, Aria then created the talent-packed variety show and podcast WA Exposé attracting many weekly listeners. Brenda went to drama school, and performed as an actor for around 10 years. She was also a teacher of drama at a high school before moving to Perth Australia in 2008 

She became a chef in 2011, and have been working as a chef since then. Brenda is currently the head chef of a very cool cafe called “Source Foods” in the city.  

She may have only started drag two and a half years ago, but first she did some boylesque under the name of Pablo Andres. But Brenda has been taking over her entire life, drag has been a way to reconnect with the stage as an actor.

Kiara Macri is the 3rd Macri sister who started performing at 2 years old in dance concerts in her parents’ attempt to channel the ridiculous personality that appeared at a very early age. 

Kiara is a tried and true Theatre Kid who has dabbled in dance, musical theatre, singing and making a fool of herself for a living.

In the years after graduating she moved to NYC to work on the Production and Development teams at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, to London to work as a Production Manager for The Fair, the leading independent music festival producer in the UK, and as a production coordinator for Boiler Room UK. 

Returning to Australia, Oakes found her home in the Fringe community, working FOH, production site and hub producer roles for FRINGE WORLD over the span of 5 years. Her work in Australia also includes senior roles with RAC Arena, Adelaide Festival, Factory Summer, and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. 

Post covid, Nat founded entertainment agency 'Lyons Production’, which has since become a leading figure in Perth, providing year-round entertainment for top venues, festivals, and events. Working with major clients such as Bar Pop, Night Owl, Phenomenon Events, Untitled Group and Lavish Habits, Lyons aims to elevate the industry standards, curate unforgettable experiences that leave a lasting impact, and provide fair paid year round work for WA artists. 

Soon after, Nat joined forces with FRINGE WORLD colleagues Liam Guiney and Dan Bruce, to create Tone & Cheek Productions, the company responsible for touring circus cabaret shows 'Club D'Amour' and 'Happy Endings', which (boasting entirely WA casts) have seen major success across Australia and will be touring internationally in 2024. 

Through all of this, performing has remained Nat's number one passion. Her stage credits include The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Latin dance show The Underground, The Hyundai A-League, The Showhouse, Universal Music projects, and Grease Live. Dollar has travelled to perform in the US, Canada and across Australia, also previously producing the events “Teasing Talkies” and “Live! Nerds! Nerds! Nerds!” within Perth. In 2017 until 2022, Dollar came on as a member of the Australian Burlesque Museum, being promoted in 2020 to the role of Secretariat.

Dollar has taught their “how to research for your act” to performers across Australia, receiving the honour of teaching the class in 2021 as part of the online portion of Burlycon, the world’s only Burlesque education convention based in Seattle, USA.

Dollar Dazzler completed in 2022 a bachelor of history and anthropology at Curtin University and dreams of creating a movement where performers are empowered to create their own history and preserve the history they honour.

Our goal is to raise the professional standard within the burlesque industry and provide a platform for performers to create their best work. We encourage our competitors to engage in supportive professional development through constructive criticism with industry leaders.

The core values of the burlesque revival are emboldened with empowerment and feminism. Mx Burlesque Australia seeks to uphold an all-inclusive competition and encourages diversity, body positivity and aligns itself with the LGBTQI+ community.

After a panel-led selection process, 6-10 applicants from each state will be invited to compete in their state final.

She then branched out into wigs, props and audience participation to make good use of her film degree with the breakout hit 'The Hilary Duff Film Re-Enactment Festival', which has won awards and delighted millennials all around the country.

In 2020 she produced 'Drag and Drag: Good Art, Bad Men', a variety show dealing with separating art from the artist. Her cerebral and warm-hearted style is on display in her asexuality-focused stand-up show 'Single Entendre', which played to acclaim in Perth and Adelaide and will be her debut Edinburgh Fringe show this year.

JoJo is a burlesque performer, singer and dancer who creates, performs and produces stories of empowerment that highlight struggles and controversial issues such as slut shaming and fighting the patriarchy. Growing up in Perth, she studied and performed classical ballet, contemporary dance, Chinese dance and singing extensively. Having spent most of her adult life overseas amongst cultural diversity, allowed her the chance to learn from and perform with people from many backgrounds.
