Despite being well-written, funny and nearly as good as its predecessor, the second entry in the Pirates of the Caribbean series never quite reaches the lofty standards set by The Curse of the Black Pearl. This doesn’t matter in the long run however, as the sinister villainy of Davy Jones combined with the chemistry of the returning cast members and the talented writing team all make for a solid sequel in more ways than one.
