TOON FORCE LUFFY

Luffy got the powers of the Toon Force and the One Piece community is up in arms. Which side are you on? We're here for a good time and not a long one in this episode. But that doesn't mean we're not talking about all the hot topics in the anime and manga communities. In this episode, we're sharing our thoughts on the Favorite Sports anime tournament we ran in March(0:26). Hajime no Ippo was the audience's winner but we have a few imma let you finishes on that pick. After that let's talk about some of our favorite and worst endings in the anime and manga world(13:55 ). Thank you to all the fans that continue to listen, comment, support, and engage with our content and we got so much more to bring you in 2021. 2020 was a not the easiest year but Anime/Manga still came with the heat.

Whether it was the anime debut of Jujutsu Kasien, the consistent quality of anime like Fire Force, or sleepers like Darwins Game and Talentless Nana. We all had our fair share of anime to watch and enjoy this year. And the manga got something to say also. Series like Black Clover, Attack on Titan, One Piece, Mash: Magic and Muscles, and so much more have been providing amazing content this year as well. But with the good also comes the bad. Whether it's the disappointing season of Baki, or the Todoroki family and the pro heroes in My Hero Academia we have had our fair share of content that needs to get roasted. This year was a mixed bag but our Anime and Manga awards attempt to provide a safe space for everyone to vent about everything they loved and hated about 2020.

The Dabi reveal was TRASH...and I was wrong

We're talking Isekai's in this episode in particular I think we make a good case that Ainz Ooal Gown and the Tomb of Nazarick might be the strongest cast in the Isekai genre(66:43). That's not all we talk about though. MGG's theory about Dabi may have been wrong but we the Horokoshi had a horrible roll-out on this reveal(102:18). As always we have to talk about the anime communities most slept on series Black Clover(91:36). The anime gave us some insight into the power levels of the captains and the manga is still hitting hard with some major reveals and power ups for Asta. Welcome to another special edition the AfrOtaku Podcast. We are doing our 3rd Annual Anime / Manga awards aka The 2019 Decent Awards. S/O to everyone who voted on all the contenders. We placed our own vote as well so lets see find out where we align. 2019 was another great year in the world of Anime and Manga. We've had some amazing new Anime like Dr. Stone,

Vinland Saga, and Rising of The Shield Hero. We've had some clout chasing new anime *cough* *cough* Demon Slayer. We've had amazing anime/manga character growth and regression all across the board. In the world of Manga we might be losing some of our options in terms of reading manga *rip mangastream* but that didn't stop the 2019 manga from hitting.

Chainsawman, Jagaaaaan, Kingdom, Attack on Titan, and Black Clover just to name a few hit us hard this year with amazing content and character arcs to keep us reading an interested. But I can't talk about 2019 without talking about the Most Improved Character. Tomura Shigaraki. This man went from most hated by the Afrotakus to some of the best flexes in villainy we've seen in 2019. He's had a lot of progressions and you know we can't end 2019 without talking about the growth of Tomura and the League of Villains.

From One Piece to Demon Slayer to Food Wars. This episode is packed with some may interesting discussions we don't know where to start. Well, we MUST talk about One Piece Chapter 957. Finally, the Bounties have been revealed for Shanks and the other Yonko and we share our One Piece 957 Reaction as well as what we think is going to happen next after this monumental reveal. All I know is that Shank's crew was revealed as one of the most balanced ones which means he probably has a decent set of strong crewmates.

Outside of the One Piece 957 chapter Gramps has watched 2 seasons of Shokugeki No Soma aka Food Wars() and somebody sent him off trying to compare it to Toriko. So we had to do a little course correction. Player 5 has just entered the Elf arc of Black Clover in the Anime.He takes some time to share his thoughts and explain to the manga readers what the hell was going on in that Black Clover Elf arc.

We're also talking about some popular topics from our social media this month. Captain America vs All Might who's the better hero? The room is split on which one of these two (Captain America or All Might) would make the better hero. And Trash or Lit Nezuko. Is Demon in Demon Slayer Trash or Lit to the AfrOtakus??
