Today on the podcast I have Daisy, a full time creative blogger also known as mygreencow. Daisy started her business when she was figuring out what she could do that didn't involve just following the path of going straight to Uni as well as having a career that wouldn't clash with her anxiety. After starting a jewellery business nad realising that she could do things her way in a way that would work for her Daisy has built her business to do just that and make money!

I initially asked Daisy to be on my podcast around a year ago but at that time she politely declined and said 'yes but not yet'. But now we've sat down and recorded it and I wanted to talk about how she got to the place where she was ready to do something that was scary. I definitely think this episode will help anyone who struggles with fear and anxiety when trying to pursue their projects and dreams.

New Year Big Goals Workshop:
Are you excited for a fresh new year but feeling a little apprehensive about setting goals?
In this episode I sit down with Laura Holmes from Mindful Confidence to talk all about supporting each other in business. Laura and I 'met' through Instagram and since then we've acted as each others unofficial cheerleaders, often catching up every few months for a coffee to talk about all the ups and downs in our business.

So we decided to record a conversation talking about what it means to have someone else supporting you and how it can actually have a really positive impact on your own attitude in your business. Laura and I are both big encouragers of reaching out and connecting with people who understand what you're going through as a way to feel more confident and less alone.

Laura's links:
Instagram: @mindful.confidence
Website: mindful-confidence.com

Follow me on Instagram @positivelyproductive.co and check out my website to find out how to work with me through mentoring.

My self led guide Project: Productivity is still available and is the most accessible way to work with me.
This episode actually feels a little vulnerable to share - there was no transcript, or structure just 15 minutes of me oversharing and mulling over my feelings about pushing myself out of my comfort zone and making a big change in my life. I recently announced on Instagram that I handed my notice in to my job and got a new one to continue to support me and my business. But there are a lot of feelings to unpack around this big change. Whenever I have a lot to process I turn to journaling so this episode is kind of an audio version of that journaling.

If you're facing a big decision or a big change I hope this episode helps you to process what you're going through. Getting out of your comfort zone is often terrifying but talking and reflecting will always help you to feel more in control of whatever's happening.

If you've connected with this episode please let me know (it's always scary sharing something a little more vulnerable so kind words mean the world).

Follow me on Instagram
More info about all my services on my website
Sign up to the Productivity Post

Hosted on Acast.

In this episode I have a chat to Sasha from Cheeky Zebra all about what it was like straying form the path that had been set our for us after we realised that both of us had done law degrees and decided very quickly that it wasn’t for us and we wanted to do our own thing.

We talk all about what led us to apply for law and the realisation that it just wasn’t for us as well as touching on that lovely comparison monster that rears its head when we’re around our peers who are in more secure stable jobs. Sasha is absolutely hilarious on Instagram and we had a great time recording and relating to each others experiences - I hope this conversation helps you feel less alone if you're also following a different path and finding it hard not to compare.

Sasha’s links:
Instagram: @cheekyzebradotcom
Website: cheekyzebra.com

Follow me on Instagram @positivelyproductive.co and check out my website to find out how to work with me through mentoring.

My self led guide Project: Productivity is still available and is the most accessible way to work with me.
This episode is such an inspiring one - Kira Matthews aka Kira the Bold is a confidence and manifestation coach who is also a JOY to talk to - she's so passionate and wonderful and supportive (she even gives me a big shout out within the episode which I promise I didn't ask her to do) we had such a great time recording this episode, it left us both feeling so energised and inspired and I know it'll do the same for you!

I wanted to sit her down and talk to her about why self belief and confidence is so important to our ability to be productive and pursue the things we're passionate about. In the episode we talk all about our attitude to feeling stuck in jobs we didn't find 'fulfilling', how life is too short not to just GO for the things we want and we talk about how manifestation can encourage your progress. In this podcast episode I talk about how procrastination is often actually telling us something valuable about the way we're working.
In this episode I sat down with Sara Collins Ethical Production Consultant and the creative productive human behind the ethical fashion brand Sister and Kin.

As an ethical production consultant she knows how important it is to relax into the process of a project and take it slow - it's not exactly an industry where things happen quickly and combined with covid her project has been a long time in the making. Often when we pursue a project we focus only on the result but relaxing into the process and is a great way to take some of the stress away. Sara's calm practical approach to the process is something we can all learn from.

We also discuss the importance of building confidence so that you can embark on a big project and trust the process and your ability to see something through to the end. If you have your own big project you're working towards I hope this episode helps you to enjoy the process and cultivate some calm.

Make sure you're following me on Instagram to see what I'm doing and stay up to date with when spaces open up! Email me if you have any questions or suggestions or want to express interest in my next mentoring intake and visit StationeryMagpie.com for creativity and productivity resources, blog posts and information about my services to help you boost your creativity and productivity.

Sara's Links:
Sara Collins UK Ethical Production Consultant Instagram
Sister and Kin Instagram
Sister and Kin Shop

Hosted on Acast.

Today I have an interview with Mary a creative soul who runs a project called Colours of Sheffield. I know Mary from my time at University where we both studied law and although we never really had the chance to properly become friends while we were there she was someone I admired from afar and via Instagram because I could see that she was someone who liked to do a lot of things and was also really passionate about creativity. So I did my classic, slid into her DMs and asked if she was up for coming on the podcast to talk more about her colours of Sheffield project and creativity and productivity in general, which thankfully she was!

Despite a few sound issues it’s great episode where we got to talk all about our need to be creative in some way, getting curious with our creativity and the drive to keep trying new things and how important it is for us to stay productive and organised in order to make space for creative time that can put us back in touch with our true selves.

Make sure to follow Mary on her ColoursofSheffield Instagram account to see some beautiful pictures of colours perfectly matched up to her beloved Sheffield!

Today is an interview with Amber Bongartz of The Flower and the Flea! We met through the Self Belief Sessions (like quite a few of my guests) and after connecting through instagram and voice messaging each other we became firm friends. It was wonderful to watch Amber's business grow and then take off with alarming speed so I'm so glad she was able to sit down and have a chat with me about everything creative and productive.

Amber is a creative by nature and has started up a few creative ventures in her time but it was the flower and the flea her jewellery business making flower charms out of antique beaded trivets that has really taken off. She shares why she thinks it’s done so well and how she’s been learning to juggle her creative business and stay productive as well as being a mum to a baby.

It’s a really great interview and a good one to listen to if you have your own passion project you’ve been putting off!

Want to learn more about a planning system that's flexible adaptable and unique to your life?
