Having grown up during a time when Victorias Secret and Playboy played a major role in culture, Tara felt from a young age that she wanted breast implants. While she was young and impressionable, her desire to get the surgery extended throughout her adult life and after she had Sydni and Sophie. Following a relatively spontaneous decision to finally pull the trigger while Josh was on a business trip, she immediately felt the painful effects of the surgery. While it did take a while for the horrible side effects to subside, it finally did a few months later. As time went on, Tara started to experience odd illnesses that she had not experienced before. Eventually, they realized that it would be best for Tara to be a stay-at-home mother as the costs of daycare would max out or exceed their budget considering their entry-level salaries at the time. Tara discusses the amount of joy she had staying home with their two daughters and reveals her eight hour/day "reading to the kids" regiment. The couple also discusses how their parenting skills and approach translates today now that their daughters are older. This is parenting with the Josephs.
