Saturday lunchtime brought an unwelcome throwback for Saints, as old problems resurfaced in a frustrating 2–1 defeat away at Norwich City. Against an injury-hit side rooted in the bottom three, Saints missed chances, struggled to control the game, and were punished by crosses into the box.
