After the tragic events of a night out drinking a group of friends take a trip to Sweden where they'll hike the countryside. Luke has become quiet and keeps to himself, while Dom has grown confrontational - Phil stays to his own business and lastly there's Hutch whose keeping everything together. With a minor injury they decide to abandon the trail and cut through the forest. Soon they become lost and there's something else hiding between the trees. When two men arrive on an island for their shift tending the lighthouse they have no idea to what extremes their sanity will be tested. Thomas Wake (Willam Dafoe) is a seasoned wickie with many shift under his belt but this time he's got a new assistant, as his last claimed the glow of the lighthouse was a God unto itself. This new assistant, Thomas Howard (Robert Paterson) left his previous job at a logging company for the chance at better pay. The pair don't seem to get along as the division of labour rests unbalanced and tempers begin to run hot.

On the small island town of Amity they rely solely on the revenue from tourist season in order to survive. Unfortunately, this summer, they've got a guest they didn't anticipate. When the remains of a young woman are washed ashore the Sheriff, Martin Brody, realizes there's a very real possibility they've got a man-eating shark. The town's Mayor refuses to give in until to a notion that could very well sink the town and so it isn't until there's a second incident that local fisherman, and shark hunter, Quint takes the job.

Louis and his family have moved out to a rural house as he starts his new job as the local university doctor. Their two kids Ellie and Gage love to run around the open fields but their neighbour Judd warns them about the road as it's a highway for 18-wheeler trucks. Ellie notices a strange trail at the back of their house and Judd explains that it leads to the Pet Sematary where local children bury their animals, it's a calm place where the dead can talk...just don't go beyond the thicket to the place where the dead can walk.

This week Michael and I decided to take a look at the origins of found-footage with - The Blair Witch Project (1999)

Heather is a budding film-maker and is working on a documentary about the urban legend of The Blair Witch. Though stories vary from person to person it's clear everyone agrees that they stay away from the local woods, and the cabin within that seems to be the epicenter of this ghostly stories.

With her cameraman Josh and sound guy Mike the three hike into the woods to find the various sites of these gristly stories...only now they can't seem to find the way back.

It's the classic tale of Dracula with a slap-stick Mel Brooks twist. Dracula (Leslie Nielson) moves to England with the help of a hypnotized Renfield - there he finds his next victims. After a shootout goes wrong Jude is left chasing a couple of gun dealers straight into the heart of a storage warehouse. The night guardsman orders take-out and somewhere in the vents a young woman hides from her past. It isn't until the exits are blocked that this rag-tag group must work together or be slaughtered by the demonically possessed toys that have been stored at the seemingly desolate warehouse.

Caleb (Adrian Pasdar) meets a beautiful girl outside an ice-cream shop and decides to take her out for a date but when she bites him he descends into a world of nomadic creatures of the night. The rest of the pack don't trust him Jesse (Lance Henriksen) the group leader, Homer a young boy, Diamondback the group mother and Severen (Bill Paxton) a crazed killer. It's up to Caleb to prove to the group he belongs or else find a way to escape from the nomadic vampire family.

Melanie crosses paths with a dashing lawyer Mitch, following out to a the sleepy lake town of Bodega Bay. The lovers flirt tentatively but eventually cannot hold back as infatuation grows. With the possibility of a big pay day waiting the crew agrees to go after the mysterious, abandoned wreck.

Raymond has never seen this 90's Halloween classic - Hocus Pocus (1993)

300 years ago the Sanderson sisters were hung for the crime of witchcraft, the murder of a little girl and the presumed murder of a teenage boy. Today they're the stuff of legend in the town of Salem. New in town is Max who doesn't believe the hype but he'll do anything to connect with his crush Allison, so they, along with Max's little sister Dani investigate the old Sanderson house where they unwittingly bring the witches back from the dead. Winnie (Bette Middler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mary (Kathy Najimy) continue on their quest to suck the lives out of all the children of Salem with only Max and the gang to stop them.

I'm joined by two very special guests, my parents. The people who got me into horror and this week we're doing the movie I was named after - Jacob's Ladder (1990)

Jacob Singer (Tim Robins) is having a hard time keeping his life together. He's estranged from his now ex-wife Sarah, lives with his new girlfriend Jezzie and barely sees his kids. He often finds himself trapped in daydreams of his time in the Vietnam war and sees flashes of his dead son Gabe (Macaulay Culkin). But that's not all as his world becomes haunted by faceless figures that jitter in the shadows - he begins to suspect that he's become a target for the Demons of Hell.

Shawn has brought along a movie with one hell of a cast - Stonehearst Asylum (2014)

Young doctor Edward Newgate (Jim Sturgess) arrives at Stonehearst Asylum to learn the ways of a 19th century Alienist under the tutelage of Dr Lamb (Ben Kingsley). But it isn't long until he begins to realize that things at the Asylum have gone horribly wrong. One of the patients Eliza (Kate Beckinsale) warns him that they've recently come under new management and this is compounded as Edward discovers the staff including Dr. Salt (Michael Caine) - the previous head Doctor - locked in cells beneath the institute. It's a race against time as functionality begins to crumble while Edward does his best to not arouse suspicion and keeps things ticking along.

So be careful who you touch, be sure to use your eyes and keep strong in a battle of wills as we're admitted to Stonehearst Asylum (2014)

Jerry (Ryan Reynolds) hears voices....namely coming from Bosco his dog and Mr. Whiskers his cat. But he deals with it because when he does take his medication the world is grey and uninviting. At work he falls in love with Fiona, a British woman in accounting and cannot see that Lisa (Anna Kendrick) definitely has a thing for him. It's a comedy of a love-triangle that's all fun and games until someone trips and gets accidently stabbed over and over again.

Professor Carl discovers a mysterious fossil that has the science community stumped. Together with David, Mark and Kay they set out into the Amazon to find the rest of the remains and determine if this is the missing link. They're soon told of a lagoon nearby where the rest of the rocks may have been carried and so they go off to explore...but what if the creature they thought long since dead was watching them from beneath the murky waters?

We're back with arguably one of the last quintessential slasher movies. Thank you Kat - Scream (1996)

One year after her Mother's death Sydney (Neve Campbell) is still struggling to come to terms with what happened and the crazed killer who now sits on trial. Meanwhile a new series of killings have just begun. Casey (Drew Barrymore) and her boyfriend are killed one night. Police are on the case but the suspects are too numerous and as more time passes, more bodies hit the floor. It could be any of the kids. It could be the rookie Deputy Dewey (David Arquette). It could the hungry for fame reporter Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox). Only time will tell as we solve the mystery...or at least try to survive the weekend.

Jake is a bit of a screw up at work, along with his friend Cobb (Stephen Lang). After one too many mistakes it's in fact their boss who gets fired, not them. They strive to make things right and apologize to their ex-boss who says there's no hard feelings, in fact they have a gift. Jake is granted a monkey's paw and told that it has the power to make any man's dreams come true...but as always, you should be careful what you wish for.

Brynn lives at the outskirts of town, it takes a lot of prep and willpower to travel to the inner circle where people roam. Everyone there seems to have it out for her with Brynn receiving abusive calls, whispered glances and cold shoulders but she herself keeps busy with a myriad of hobbies. Strange patches of dead grass are appearing in her front lawn but things begin to get really out of hand when a stranger comes knocking in the dead of night.

They don't really think much of it until later when they see the driver dumping suspiciously wrapped packages down the rusted pipe of an abandoned building. While investigating they discover something more harrowing than they could have imaged and now the killer is after them as well, chasing them up the highway where no help seems to come.

Aboard an International Space Station the crew eagerly awaits the return of a pod which was sent to Mars. Among the soil samples they find a single cell, dormant but with the proper atmosphere they coax it back and thus life is born. David (Jake Gyllenhaal) can't imagine going back to Earth after being in space for over 1000 days. Rory (Ryan Reynolds) and the rest of the crew get comfortable in their success as Kalvin (the previously single-celled organism) continues to grow. But an accident at the lab puts them, the ship and the whole planet at risk when Kalvin grows beyond the bounds of its pen.

Valentine (Kevin Bacon) and Earl are the 'do-it-all' handymen of the middle-of-nowhere town, Perfection. Times have been tough and it all comes to a head when they realise they've hit rock bottom. In a spur of the minute decision they pack up and get ready to make it big in the city. Only problem is they've made the decision just one day too late as something is coming for the town. An accident blocks the only road out and before long it becomes evidently clear that they've got a real puzzler of a problem coming their way.

So be as quiet as you can, go check on the generator and thank the lord they don't fly as we shake, rattle and roll to a series of unstable Tremors (1990)

Bronwyn is back this week to help me re-live a movie I've not watched in over a decade - Eight Legged Freaks (2002)

Chris (David Arquette) is returning to his hometown, his Father having tragically passed away and leaving him the owner of the town's mine. Sam the town's Sheriff, and as a single mother, is working hard at keeping her neighbours and her kids in order - her son of which has made friends with the town outcast. Joshua runs a spider-farm on the outskirts of Prosperity and has made fast friends with the eager Mike (Sam's son) and shares with him the drastic growth of his spiders thanks to some unusually sized crickets from the local lake. Little do they know that toxic waste has spilled into said lake and the spiders are only going to continue to grow until the town itself become the deadly arachnids' hunting grounds.

So get ready....no seriously - Get Ready!, hop on your dirt bikes and keep the taser handy as we peel back the webbed cocoon of Eight Legged Freaks (2002)

Sophie and her girlfriend Bee are in the beginnings of their relationship when they decide to attend a 'hurricane party' at Sophie's oldest friend's house. Tensions are high right from the get-go as several of her friends never expected Sophie to show never mind to bring a date. Drinks are had, glowsticks are snapped and champagne is opened as the storm rolls in...that's when they decide to play Bodies Bodies Bodies - only it isn't too long before the bodies start hitting the floor.

The town is going bust, empty streets, abandoned buildings and a hospital that's close to fully burnt down. Sheriff Daniel and his ex-wife Alison broken up after a dire situation turned fatal but now they must work together as Daniel brings in a man covered in blood - but this stranger's ravings are only just the beginning of the madness as people begin the lose their minds and the dead begin to walk again, transformed to horrors most unspeakable.

Sam has come back and despite the fact we couldn't do their first choice we came to a fun and exciting alternative with Underwater (2020)

Nora (Kristen Stewart) is an engineer aboard the drilling rig Kepler, at the base of the Mariana Trench. There's a sudden shake that rattles the station, flooding and destroying most of the facility but she, as well as a few other stranglers she finds along the way, have survived. The only problem now is walking the ocean floor in search of the drill site itself, where escape pods lay in wait...but this is a journey not everyone is going to make.

Pip returns this week to help me tackle one of the legacy slashers - that's right it's time for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

After several instances of graverobbing Sally & Franklin decide to return to their family home, bringing with them a group of friends to make something of a road-trip out of it. The old beat up house has seen better days, they cross paths with a manic Hitchhiker and the local gas station has even run out of gas. It seems however the neighbours have patrol, at least enough to run some generators, so one by one they make their way over to ask for some assistance - not realizing they're walking into the slaughterhouse until it's too late.

So rev your chainsaws, go for a swim in the dried-up lake and reach 'round back for the meat hook as we duck, weave and dive our way through the brambly woods in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

Through happenstance they ended up driving together both, supposedly, on their ways to meet up with family for the holidays. But after they're run off the road by a mysterious car they're left in the bitter cold of a snow bank as they try to figure out a way to reach out for help.

So in a bid to get more Instagram followers and thus surpass the previous President, the very bitchy Briana, Emily buys a sloth from a poacher and convinces the girls to let it stay as their new mascot. Little do they know that this is a sloth with murderous vengeance on its mind.

This week we welcome a brand new member to the Cherry Pop Horror family, Alice and this week it was their first time watching - The Addams Family (1991)

The Addams' are a strange bunch - they're 'monsters', 'fiends', 'creatures' but more than anything they're family. Gomez, the father of the house, laments at the falling out he had with his brother a good twenty-five years ago. But as if the Gods themselves heard his prayers Uncle Fester returns home - only he's Gordon now and has a devious plan to steal the Addams' wealth with his loan-shark Mother.

As time passes Gordon gets to know the family - Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsly, Thing and Lurch and soon begins to feel that this may in fact be where he belongs.

Siobhan is a marine biologist and much prefers her studies to the laborious chore of people but when it's made clear that she'll not pass her course unless she goes on a practical expedition she laments. Agreeing she boards a down-on-its-luck fishing vessel. Due to the hard times one of the crew makes the decision to enter an exclusion zone and it's there the crew is met by a strange and awesome creature. Now it's a battle of survival but strangely it's not against the leviathan that's holding them captive.

This week we're joined by a brand new guest MacKenzie and we decided to tackle Cabin Fever (2002)

A group of College graduates decide that to celebrate they'll head to a cabin the woods for a short holiday ('cause that's only ever turned out well). Some raunchy sex, a bet on who can last the week drinking only beer and roasting marshmallows over the campfire seems all well and good until they stumble into the local Hermit.

It soon becomes very clear that what's going to ruin their break isn't so much this stranger but rather festering infectious blisters that are covering his body and as he then begins to vomit blood over all their belongings the group realizes that it's only a matter of time until they too come down with a fever.

So let's go 'gay' squirrel hunting, take a long relaxing soak in the tub and become the local 'party dude' as we cough our way through Cabin Fever (2002)

Despite joining at the beginning of Cherry Pop Horror's inception this week was Kat's first CHERRY-PIE episode as it was both their and my first time watching Dolores Claiborne (1995)

Dolores (Kathy Bates) is caught red-handed, standing above her employer, the frail and decrepit Vera Donovan, with a marble rolling pin - ready to strike. This boils over as an old rival returns. Detective Mackey has a grudge to bear against Dolores and is determined to get her locked away, even going so far as to contact Dolores' estranged daughter and get her involved in the budding murder case, convinced that this time he'll get her for this murder and the murder of her long-since passed husband - the previous case from eighteen years before.

So hang the laundry with six pegs not five, swig at a bottle of whiskey and be careful where you step as we bask at the solar eclipse in Dolores Claiborne (1995)

Kaleb has returned this week to tackle another classic - The Omen (1976)

Robert and Katherine are just 'beautiful people'. And bad things don't happen to beautiful people. Sadly the happy couple looses their son in childbirth but a friendly priest offers them the chance to adopt a boy born in the same hospital, a boy whose mother died in childbirth. Robert takes the opportunity, though neglecting to tell Katherine that Damian isn't her child by birth.

It isn't until Damian's 5th birthday that they begin to suspect there may be something wrong with their bouncing baby boy.

So give the best boy rottweilers a pet, snap a selfie for prosperity and avoid the zoo if you can as we say our prayers to The Omen (1976)

A group of men is hired to break into a house and steal a particular Video Tape, unfortunately they didn't ask for any more details than that. Exploring the house they find many tapes and aren't sure which one it is they need, so they pop a few in to check what they're about. They then become witnesses to a bat-girl hookup at a bar, a video call haunting session, a couple's retreat with a side of stalker, attack of the video glitch and the satanic sacrifice of a young girl at a house party - and all the while the robbers begin to disappear from view, one by one.

So drop a tablet in your beer, skinny dip in the haunted wood's lake and take note of the fortune teller's advice as we be kind and rewind V/H/S (2012)

I'm joined this week by a brand new guest and I get to introduce them to my yearly Christmas treat - Krampus (2015)

Max is still a kid but is starting to realize that Christmas isn't all smiles like it used to be when he was younger. His parents Sarah (Toni Collette) and Tom (Adam Scott) don't love each other like they used to, he doesn't get to hang out with his sister Beth now that she's a teenager and no one seems to get along with Aunt Linda, Uncle Howard and their kids...and yet they see them every year.

It isn't until his cousins mock his belief in Santa and his heartfelt wish that everyone just got along that Max truly gives up. He tears up his letter to Santa, tossing it to the wind and unleashing a festive nightmare on himself and his family as Krampus comes to claim them...one...by...one.

Jack Frost is an infamous serial killer who's on his way to be executed for his crimes when suddenly the transport vehicle crashes. In the aftermath Jack is sprayed with an unknown chemical and becomes one with the snow. With all this new found power he can finally enact a promise, a promise to get the small-town Sheriff who caught him.

This 90's killer Christmas snowman movie is an absolutely bananas trip that needs to be seen to be believed.

Sarah's suggestion this week, so we took in the holiday cheer that is Violent Night (2022)

A holiday get-together does not go as planned as young Trudi and her divorced parents Jason and Linda meet up with the rest of the family to take in the Christmas spirit. Grandma Gertrude is exceptionally wealthy with three-hundred million casually sat in the vault downstairs. But Grandma isn't the only one who know it, as the house is invaded by holiday themed mercenaries, led by Mr. Scrooge (John Leguizamo). It's just a happy coincidence that disgruntled Santa (David Harbour) happened to be visiting right at that very moment. Santa himself has lost the Christmas jollies as all kids want now is money and video-games but when he sees young Trudi in need he digs into his Nordic, Viking roots and gets ready to give the mercenaries their lumps of coal.

He's surrounded by other houses just like his - that is until the house next door becomes a little too spooky. Now with the help of his fellow neighbours they investigate what could be the home to a family of deranged serial killers.

Mike and Debb are just your typical couple, hiking out to make-out point they see a shooting star but little do they know that this is the just the beginning to the strangest night of their life. Descending upon the town is a gang of Killer Klowns aliens, who's UFO was the shooting star. The town is culled as the Klowns turn everyone into cotton candy and load them up onto their Funhouse Bigtop Spaceship.

Seok-Woo is a successful salary-man, he has his own office, he makes good money but what he doesn't have is the love of his family; his wife has left and his daughter Su-An thinks she's a waste of his time. They board a train to reunite Su-An with her mother when they're hit suddenly by a zombie outbreak. Their only option is to head for Busan, a salvation that the military has made...but the infection is already spreading quickly through the carts of the train.

Destiny is back this week and this time it's my first watch of Coraline (2009)

Young Coraline (Dakota Fanning) is a bit of an odd child but it's more than that, she's a bit of a lonely child. Her parents push her aside, choosing their work over affection and attention. This seems to be the norm until Coraline finds a passageway to another world and in it another version of her Mother, her Father and the residents of her new home the Pink Palace Apartments with one big difference; that being everyone in this world is perfect and has replaced their eyes with buttons.

The local black cat (Keith David) warns her that this new world isn't quite as good as it seems and soon the façade begins to melt away.

So settle down with a cup of jasmine tea, laugh yourself silly being tickled by snapdragons and eat raw beets to grow your strength as we journey into the crawlspace with Coraline (2009)

Ryan has come again to tackle another older film, this time the legacy slasher - Halloween (1978)

Michael Myers killed his sister one night with a kitchen knife and has spent the better part of 15 years in a mental institute, never speaking a word...until one stormy night he escapes. Laurie (Jaimee Lee Curtis) is just your regular high school student and tonight she'll be earning a couple of extra bucks babysitting little Tommy. She won't be alone though as he friend Annie is babysitting right across the road. Everything seems fine, except that Laurie has attracted the attention of an unwanted stalker...Myers is following her and it won't be long until he makes his move.

We journey through an anthology of a movie this week. A group of girls work to find dates for a party, Danielle trying to finally get her sister Laurie (Anna Paquin) to lose her virginity. A couple of school kids are collecting jack-o'-lanterns to honour a school bus tragedy that took place 30 years ago. The local Principle schools kids on the importance of following the Halloween rules. A grouchy old man (Brian Cox) deals with a home-invader. And somewhere in town a black robed figure is ready to claim another victim. All these stories intertwine with small vignettes between and yet somehow the whole thing joins together in a beautifully macabre mix of horrors.

So carve yourself a pumpkin, check your candy bars and don't play hard to get as we roam our way through Trick 'r Treat (2007)

Jade is back again but this time we're taking on a true legacy horror - Friday The 13th (1980)

A group of councilors arrive at an old abandoned camp to start getting it ready for the campers who'll arrive in just a few short weeks. There's gutters that need replacing, walls that need painting, archery ranges to set up and a pantry to stock. What no one seems to have told them is that this camp was closed for a reason; first a kid drowned in '58 then in '59 two councilors were stabbed to death in the barn...but hey we just hit 1980 so there's probably nothing to worry about.

Icabod (Johnny Depp) is a man of science but in 1799 the world is so convinced of their own righteousness that there's no room for proof. There he teams up with Katrina (Christina Ricci), daughter of the town's patron and a young boy; Masbath. Together the trio must solve the murders, find out the identity of the Headless Horseman and put a stop to the attack.

Jess is back with our first look at a movie based on a game - Silent Hill (2006)

Mother Rose is extremely worried about her young daughter Sharon, who has been having a series of nightmares and calling out the name of an old coal mining town; Silent Hill.

Thinking it may be the only way to save her Rose takes a trip with Sharon to the deserted town against the suggestions of her husband Chris (Sean Bean). While there Sharon disappears and Rose must follow a trail to find her while dodging seemingly unexplainable monster which arrive with the call of an air-raid siren. Luckily she's not alone as police officer Cybil (Laurie Holden) aids tracking down the lost little girl. Kat D is back with another odd-ball movie, this time we both had our first watch of the Korean anime styled Beauty Water (2020)

Ye-ji has not got much self-confidence and comes to the conclusion that to succeed in life you must be beautiful. It all comes to a head when she's humiliated on live television and becomes internet famous as the "ugliest," woman.

An unknown benefactor sends her a bottle of Beauty Water, a strange beauty product that allows her to completely reshape and mold her form to whatever she finds most pleasing but this of course leads Ye-ji down a dark and twisting spiral where the only thing that matters is how 'prefect' her body is.

Jess D has joined me again for another wild ride, this time we sit down to talk Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1992) - that's right before there was a hit TV series there was a movie.

Buffy is your typical popular high school student until she's approached by an old man who tells her she is the next Slayer. It's taken Merrick (Donald Sutherland) a little longer to find the Slayer in this incarnation and so they're short on time as Lothos has already begun to build a vampiric family of the undead. Buffy must train hard and with new allies Merrick and Pike (Luke Perry) take on this ancient evil. Friends become enemies and a high school dance becomes ground zero for a vampire's invasion of Los Angeles.

Chelsea is back joining me again for another crazy feature, this time it's The Ruins (2008)

A group of friends on holiday in Mexico are offered the chance of a lifetime when they meet a German stranger at the pools whose brother is off exploring the ruins of an undiscovered Mayan temple. The friends Jeff, Eric, Stacy and Amy travel with Mathias and a Greek friend Dimitri to take a look at the previously unseen wonder.

Things seem immediately off as the trail is covered and they're met by hostile locals who force them up onto the temple where not but more horrors await.

It's a race against time before Buffalo Bill's latest victim ends up on the cutting room floor.

On a night of celebration a group of high school friends accidently run over and kill a man and, scared that they'll be done in for murder, they decided instead to hide the body. A year later each of their hopes for the future have turned sour and when they return to their hometown they begin to receive ominous and threatening messages. It's up to this group of 'former' friends to figure out who knows 'what they did last summer' and stop them before they get hooked by the hook-handed man.

Mary is a financially struggling medical student who's just trying to make enough money to get by. After checking jobs online she finds an opening at a strip club but during her interview she's rushed into surgery in the club's basement. From there things only get stranger as Mary embarks deep into the underbelly of the city, and into the strange and wonderful world of body modification.

JP is back again and we finally found a movie they haden't seen before, this week it's The Brood (1979)

Frank is a loving father who has recently ended their relationship with Ex-wife Nola. He's trying his best to be a good Dad but still shares visitations with Nola who is currently housed at a mental retreat where she's working through he anger with Dr. Raglan.

Using a form of therapy coined by Raglan himself they work to manifest psychological trauma as something physical, which can then be treated. Nola's issues however run deep and soon people in her life start being attacked by strange little creatures.

So stare blankly at the TV with an ice cream sandwich, refill your glass or whiskey for the fourteenth time and cut away the boils of your trauma as we watch The Brood (1979)

Eve is back this week to look at a modern interpretation of urban legends. James, an ex-undercover cop, goes on the search for a young girl Amanda who disappears from her home. While delving into the mystery he learns about something called The Empty Man, an urban legend. If walking on a bridge at night you should find an empty bottle and blow into it while thinking of The Empty Man then by the third day after he'll get you. An odd combination of detective mystery mixed with the supernatural charm of an urban legend, it all comes to a head with a wholly bizarre twist to cap it off.

Burman (aka Ziggy) and Martin the mall janitor must work together to at last put this spell to rest, stop the plague of serial killers and save Sam from becoming just another name on the witch's plinth.

Meanwhile Roger, a local boy, pines for Geri's attention. While all the drama ensues something else is lurking below the surface. The ongoing electrical current is making the worm population more vicious and dare I say...hungry for human flesh.

Dylan is back with the continuation of our delve into the Netflix trilogy they love so much - Fear Street Part Two 1978 (2021)

Deena and Josh (and a mildly possessed Sam) head to see C. Burman who they previously found out had seen the legendary witch Sarah Fier and managed to escape. C. Burman sits them down to tell them the story of when she was but a teenager at a summer camp, the summer that claimed the life of her sister.

We travel back to 1978 to follow a group of Camp Councilors and their campers one fateful night in 1978 when Sarah Fier chose her newest killer. It's a race for survival as young Ziggy tries to reunite with her sister Cindy in the midst of turmoil. Other councilors would have noticed the incoming danger if they hadn't spent so much time banging and the camper's themselves are way to embroiled in a game of capture the flag, Shadysider's vs Sunnyvale kids.

Kat (Komfort Zone With A K) is back with another psychological thriller, this time it was their first watch of Black Swan (2010)

When professional ballet dancer Nina (Natalie Portman) finally secures the role of a lifetime as the Swan Queen in the studio's production of Swan Lake she thinks life can't be any better. There's something she needs to work on though, in this production she has to play the role of the innocent Swan Princess as well as the temptress Black Swan. As pressure mounts she believes that a fellow dancer might be trying to sabotage her, Lilly (Mila Kunis) who is the embodiment of freedom that Nina misses in her performance. She knows its only a matter of time until she is replaced like the lead before her, Beth (Winona Ryder). Not only that but her Mother (Barbara Hershey) has an emphatic need to keep her as innocent as possible. There's so much pressure and it's only a matter of time until Nina starts to crack.

Dylan is ecstatic this week to be tackling one of their favourite movies and is more than happy to introduce me to it - Fear Street Part One 1994 (2021).

Deena and Sam used to be high school sweet hearts, that is until Sam moved from Shadyside to the far more affluent Sunnyvale, it's then their relationship fell apart. If there's one thing to know about this town it's that Sunnyvale and Shadyside don't mix. Sunnyvale is where the wealthy, the privileged and respectful citizens live while Shadyside has a bad history going all the way back to 1666. The legend of a witch that possesses people and makes them go insane circulates town and has done for decades...a fact that appears to be coming true when a seemingly psychotic attack at the local mall sets in motion a series of bizarre events.

Shawn joins Cherry Pop Horror this week with the amazingly hilarious Ready Or Not (2019)

Grace (Samara Weaving) is enjoying her wedding day. She's never had a family of her own and is excited to get to know and meet her husband's kin. Like every family the Le Domas have traditions, in their case Grace needs only to join them for a game come midnight of their wedding night; which makes sense given that the family amassed their fortune making board games. After being handed a mysterious box, one that determines which game to play, she draws the card for hide and seek. What the family fails to mention is that this is the one bad card to draw, if they manage to catch her she'll be sacrificed in the name of their patron. Start the countdown, let the game begin....

Pip's come back to help me tackle Cherry Pop Horror's first vampire flick.

Brothers Michael and Sam, along with their mum Lucy, move out to California with their Grandfather in the sunny seaside town of Santa Carla...there's just one problem with this town, the suspicious number of missing persons.

Sam makes friends with the Frog Brothers, two boys who run a local comic book store who declare that the town is infested with Vampires. Meanwhile Michael follows a pretty girl and ends up joining the aforementioned Lost Boys, a group of bikers that wreak havoc throughout the town. It isn't until Michael discovers he's been tricked into becoming a vampire that all sides must work together to clear the nest and free Michael from his newly discovered hunger for blood.

Wallace, a podcaster and all round douche-nozzle, heads to Canada to do a follow up interview with a kid who's become internet famous after accidently cutting their leg off with a samurai sword. Unfortunately the interview can't take place but, not wanting to waste the trip, Wallace calls an old man who claims to have interesting stories from his time in the navy. Things, however are not what they seem and Wallace is helplessly mutilated to the whim of his new, insane and walrus obsessed captor.

As time progresses they start to notice more and more oddities with the staff that hint that this summer camp is far darker than expected - not only that but a masked figure seems to be stalking the camp grounds with unknown motives.

Boys, it's time to man up, grab a gun and be the killer they're looking for, while girls head to the kitchen to make pie 'cause there's no greater joy than learning your place in society... (it saddens me to even joke like this)...
