Neil Cox is a former English footballer and manager who built up an impressive 400 career appearances and was also capped at Under-21 level for England. The talented defender wore the colours of teams including Scunthorpe, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Bolton and Crewe, and has managed Leek Town and AFC Wimbledon since retiring as a player. Cox began his career at the town where he was born and for the club he supported as a child, Scunthorpe United. He began playing for his hometown club when he just 11 years old, progressing through the youth ranks before signing a professional deal in 1990.

His impressive performances gained the attention of Aston Villa in 1991, and he moved to the First Division side for a fee of£400,000. Cox enjoyed 50 appearances for Aston Villa, including a memorable victory over Manchester United in the 1994 League Cup Final. His next move was to Middlesbrough for a club record transfer fee of £1 million, and the club achieved promotion to the Premier League in his first season there.In the following years, Cox, capable of playing at centre or right-back, moved to Watford after a brief spell at Bolton Wanderers.

Cox went on to become Watford’s captain, and made over 200 appearances for the Hornets.Cox pursued a management career after hanging up his boots as a player, firstly at Leek Town, then sharing management duties with long-term friend Neal Ardley at AFC Wimbledon, and the pair successfully led the team to promotion in 2016.

Join John and Liam today as we discuss the on going career of newly appointed Rotherham United player Sam Clucas. Clucas started his career as a youth player for Leicester City where he spent six years, before being released. He studied at Lincoln College and had a spell at Nettleham towards the end of the 2008–09 season, before joining his hometown club Lincoln City where he stayed until being released in the summer of 2010. After a short spell in Spain he returned to England and rose from League Two to the Premier League with Hereford United, Mansfield Town, Chesterfield and Hull City; scoring in each division in the process. He joined Swansea City on 23 August 2017, thus ending his stay with Hull City. Clucas spent the 2017–18 season with the Swans before joining Stoke City in August 2018.sam now plays at rotherham!

DAVID LEE tells all on Southampton - bolton - Bury - Wigan - Blackpool

Lee, a right winger, began his career with Bury in 1986. In five years at Gigg Lane, he made just over 200 league appearances and scored 35 goals.

Southampton came in for his services in 1991 with a successful £350,000 bid. Lee's stay on the south coast was short-lived, however; after only twenty appearances he returned to the north-west with Bolton Wanderers in a one-month loan deal. In December 1992, Bolton made the move permanent in a £275,000 deal.[2]

Lee remained at Burnden Park for five years, clocking up 147 appearances and scoring sixteen goals. Whilst at Bolton he played in the 1995 League Cup Final.

In 1997, he joined Wigan Athletic for £250,000, and he maintained his goalscoring touch, netting eleven goals during his three years with the Latics. Whilst at Wigan he played in the final as a substitute as they won the 1998–99 Football League Trophy.[3]

Lee joined Blackpool on loan in 1999, before making a permanent move to Carlisle United on a non-contract basis.

A year later, the midfielder joined non-league side Morecambe, with whom he finished his career.
