WWE superstar and current World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest steps into the Squared Circle Pit for a very fun discussion. We discuss his epic WrestleMania moment where he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and achieved his lifelong dream of being world champion. We discussed the moments before and after the win, and also talked about how it felt to go backstage and thank Paul "Triple H" Levesque. Damien then discussed his incredibly memorable match with Bad Bunny in Puerto Rico and his internal feelings during that match. We compare the audience reactions in PR with the recent crowd in Lyon, France.

Damian also talks a little bit of metal, booking his fantasy festival, and letting us know which heavy metal icon he would bring into Judgment Day.

I am very excited to have MVP (Montel Vontavious Porter) enter the pit today to talk about his roundabout way of getting into punk, metal and hardcore bands. He talks about his favorite Metallica albums, his favorite era of Iron Maiden and the connection between heavy metal and pro wrestling, especially during the Attitude era. MVP talks about his goal of starting a hardcore band. MVP also shares an incredible story of the time he met Macho Man backstage at a Misfits concert.

WWE SummerSlam is this Saturday, August 20th, streaming on Peacock TV. MVP is accompanying Bobby Lashley in the main event against Bill Goldberg for the WWE championship. We briefly discuss this as well.

I was delighted that he took some time out of his busy schedule to talk about me about his experiences in the WWF when he worked there. Tommy talks about landing the job, taking over for Vince Russo, the Triple H/Stephanie McMahon wedding storyline, delivering Mae Young's hand, the angle with Steve Austin getting run over by a car, and working with Edge and Christian. We also talk about how writing a wrestling show is a lot like writing a comedy show and end the interview with Tommy offering his opinion on last night's WWE Elimination Chamber.

We talk about licensing music for the nWo, what the conclusion of the nWo angle was supposed to be, working with KISS, his plans for the WCW Big Bang PPV that wasn't and we get really deep into why it's so hard to get television clearance for a wrestling company that isn't WWE. It's an absolutely fascinating listen if you're a wrestling fan, and even if you're not.

Oscar has been a wrestling fan most of his life and discusses how he got into pro wrestling, with limited availability in his home country of Sweden. Oscar talks about some of his favorite wrestlers, what he enjoys about wrestling and he shares some great tales from getting to attend WrestleMania 21 as a special guest of Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee, including great stories from the afterparty.

When I started this podcast, one of my dream guests was Slipknot's Corey Taylor. I was able to get a short window of time with Corey on the phone, as he is out on the road on Slipknot's massive summer tour. Corey talks about how he got into wrestling in the 80s through N.W.A., his favorite pro wrestlers, his thoughts on the current scene, attending this past WWE Monday In The Bank live, how pro wrestlers inspire his onstage persona, as well as the backstage story of how his altercation with NXT star Baron Corbin came about.

I got a chance to catch up with Jacob before Converge's killer set at House of Vans in Brooklyn, NY yesterday to talk a whole lot of 1980s wrestling. We talked Jim Crockett Promotions, Mid-Atlantic, WWF. Jacob shares a story of going to a Kerry Von Erich autograph signing, watching World Championship Wrestling at 6:05 on Saturdays, and, of course, Ric Flair. We wrap up the show talking about Brock Lesnar's UFC fight this weekend.

This was quite an enlighting conversation for me. I spoke to Hanno from Mantar, an awesome new death-and-roll duo. Hanno is from Germany so it was fascinating learning how a German person interpreted the overly nationalistic storylines of the WWF at the time. Hanno talks his favorite moments from the early 90s, his favorite wrestlers and perhaps the greatest retelling of the Yokozuna Body Slam challenge I have ever heard. We also discuss Doink the Clown, I.R.S., Abe "Knuckle Ball" Schwartz and the Macho Man.

I am so excited to bring you the second episode of my metal-meets-wrestling podcast, with a dude I've wanted to talk to about pro wrestling for the longest time, Mike D'Antonio, bassist of Killswitch Engage. Killswitch Engage famously wrote the entrance track "This Fire Burns" for CM Punk. We talk about Mike's friendship with Punk, as well as his love for ECW, NXT, Ring of Honor, seeing WrestleMania live, this upcoming WrestleMania and more. We originally were scheduled to chat for 30 minutes but ended up talking for almost an hour until Mike had to go to do sound check. I am so excited to launch the newest podcast here at Metal Injection: Squared Circle Pit! The goal of this podcast is to talk to metal musicians almost exclusively about pro wrestling and their love of it. To kick things off, we have a huge guest, legendary guitarist Zakk Wylde. Zakk of course played with Ozzy Osbourne and his own band, Black Label Society and while he wasn't shredding, Zakk was taking in some pro-wrestling.
We talk about some of Zakk's favorite wrestlers, including the Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man Randy Savage, Undertaker, Chris Jericho and more. Zakk shares some tales of hanging backstage with the boys, witnessing WrestleMania VII live and Zakk even shares some opinions on the new Star Wars film (lots of spoilers).
