Most people say that the Baptism as instructed by Jesus Christ prior to His ascension in the Book of Matthew is the correct one, while others argue that the right Baptism is to be baptised in "Jesus" name only as stated by Peter in the Book of Acts on the day of pentecost.

As created beings, we were made to worship on our Creator. Until we come under His rule and surrender, we will not be complete. This is why some often turn to the worshipping of false gods. These same gods, cannot speak or hear us yet still people have chosen to worship them.


If you have been caught in this lie, turn to the Lord Jesus and ask for forgiveness of your idol worshipping and He will forgive you.

Thank you for tuning into another Podcast episode. In today's episode I will be speaking about what it means to put our sword away and allow the Lord Jesus to not only comfort us but to also so us how not to take matters into our own hands.


When we are being hurt by others, the first and sometimes normal human instinct is to let that person experience our anger. We often want to take matters into our own hands instead of allowing the Lord's plan to come to pass in His own timing.


In the Book of John, we read where Peter was the first who acted, by pulling his sword and cutting off the ear of a slave of the priest. Like Peter, we often want to help the Lord but this is something that we do not need to do. The Lord does not need our assistance because we do more harm than good. All we have to do is to trust the process and His plans.


John 18:10 - 11

Then Simon Peter drew a sword and slashed off the right ear of Malchus, the high priest's slave. But Jesus said to Peter, "Put your sword back into its sheath. Shall I not drink from the cup of suffering that Father has given me?".

In today's society, we are being told to look down on the simple things, the things are others see as being insignificant. When it comes to the cross and salvation, it is the simple things that the Lord uses. People often want to explain away what Jesus did on the cross thousands of years ago. They think that salvation cannot be so simple. Instead of trying to explain away what the Bible tells us, let us accept it because God's Word is truth. Let us stop using our human wisdom and accept the wisdom of God when it comes to our salvation and eternity.


Scripture is simple, it is we who want to over-complicate things by adding more to it. If we believe in our hearts and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord then we will be saved (Romans 10:9). Let us confess and believe the Word of God.


If you feel like a prodigal then trust and believe that you can always come back home to the loving arms of the Father. Be obedient to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and come back to the Lord.

When it comes to the cross and salvation, it is the simple things that the Lord uses. People often want to explain away what Jesus did on the cross thousands of years ago. They think that salvation cannot be so simple. Instead of trying to explain away what the Bible tells us, let us accept it because God's Word is truth. Let us stop using our human wisdom and accept the wisdom of God when it comes to our salvation and eternity.


Scripture is simple, it is we who want to over-complicate things by adding more to it. If we believe in our hearts and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord then we will be saved (Romans 10:9). Let us confess and believe the Word of God.

Keep moving and pushing through even when it seems as though nothing is happening. We serve a God who is faithful and He will never let us be put to shame. When we read in the Book of Daniel, we have the three Hebrews boys and Daniel who despite the consequences, stood their ground and remained faithful to and trusted the Lord of Host.


Let us learn from their examples that when we stand for God and found innocent in His eyes, He will vindicate us.

At times we may think that God does not love us, but this is so not true. God will always love the unlovely, the broken hearted, the rebel. When you are struggling, instead of suffering in silence, why not turn to the loving arms of the Father.


John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
