My OCD Journey

This past autumn my doctor and I had a breakthrough that we've been approaching my mental health struggles with emetophobia and 'anxiety' wrong this whole time. He suggested this might actually be OCD, and that ERP therapy can be really beneficial to manage it. I've been in weekly ERP therapy for OCD since October now and my world has changed. This episode aims to help you understand how I found my diagnosis, how I found a therapist, what therapy has looked like in detail for me, and where I'm at now! I hope this can give other people with emetophobia and OCD hope that the hard work can pay off. Lots of love friends, this is a long and vulnerable one, so grab a cup of tea and cozy blanket!

On Pet Loss and Grief

After a few months off the podcast taking care of my sick soul-pup he peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge. Today I'm back, feeling a lot lighter, and talking all things pet loss and pet grief. In this episode of In The Meadow I cover what helped me through the disenfranchised grief of losing a fur baby, how to help others in your life when they lose one, and ways to create pet memorials (whether your fur baby is still here or passed!). This episode title might be something avoidant feeling to some, and I understand that, but I promise it's a happy approach of what I wish I knew and took the time to think about before unexpectedly having to face euthanizing my sweet pup.
