hello friends! today's episode is a muse episode where i talk about my relationship with weed. this episode was very important for me. i reflect on how the plant has helped my teenage self appreciate my feelings and body more, make the move from teenhood to young adulthood, help me accept my mental health issues and neurodivergence, mellowed me out and address my control, hyper-independence and avoidance issues and was a non-judgemental companion as i went through some tough times. i've reached a point where i am now seeking to wane off of my addiction to the plant, so take a trip down memory lane to that first time and offer a love letter to something that i needed when i did, and now i am ready to move forward.

this episode is not intended to be offering any health, spiritual or holistic advice. it's for entertainment. opinions and thoughts and experiences are all my own.

the intro song keeps changing because i finally decided that i am going to produce and write my own but haven’t come around to it yet. next episode will be it’s official launch. the current song is the vibe i hope to go for, maybe a little more erika de easier esque.

hello everyone! today is our 'create’ episode, and we are talking about the 2022 album 'Natural Brown Prom Queen' by sudan archives. We go song by song exploring the themes of home, safety, trusting the self and sexuality. throughout the episode, i also weave in tips from rick rubin's 'The Creative Act' as a starting point in exploring key ways we can develop a stronger relationship with our creative process, and in the end, i share what i'm challenging myself to this summer. have fun listen to me sing and get hyped because there so much juice that we can get from other people's art.

hello everyone, welcome to the second (first on podcast hosts!) episode of musings with mona. today is a ‘learn’ episode, and we are talking about dancing, disco, the erotic, agency, the body and liberation. it’s a longer one because there was just so much to talk about. this episode was supposed to be posted earlier, but i've been learning to take my time instead of rushing into things. i'm still aiming to post twice a month, i'm still figuring out if it'll be every other week or something like uploading at the beginning and at the end of each month. we'll figure it out. no apologies for my militant tone in some areas, i can be quite passionate. i hope you guys enjoy, i personally enjoyed preparing and recording this episode.
