King Solomon had everything so what went wrong?

How can we prevent losing the blessings we already have in life, and keep from getting distracted? Why did Solomon stop appreciating what he had?

This was annoying to me like a soap opera when you know the person is cheating on their spouse and you yell at the TV to prevent it but they can’t hear you.

Hello friends! Thank you for checking out Revive Your Soul with Mindy Joy! I have a question for you: Do you often wake up kinda down and depressed? If so, I feel you. But I've learned how to work my way out of that which I share as you listen to this podcast.

This podcast is inspired by my daily reading portion which had me think how amazing it is that we were all created so unique and I want you to understand how vitally important you are. I also found the adjectives King David used to praise God very interesting and realized that this was at the end of his life. Learning how to Praise God who I've never seen, was, and is a journey of exploration of God's Word and an adventure!

If you are going through depression, this is a good podcast to listen to and, it may also help you to understand II Chronicles 28 - 29.

We Need More Davids and Solomons

King David was a survivor and a conquering King who led Israel in victorious battles in his lifetime. Scripture says he was a man "after God's own heart" in 1 Samuel 13:14. King Solomon, David's son, on the other hand, never had to fight in battle and was born into royalty. The scriptures refer to Solomon as the wisest King in the Middle East (1 Kings 4:30) and their was peace and prosperity throughout the vast majority of his 40 year reign.

Even today, we can see that in life, some people are strong survivors and others were born with things prepared for them by their ancestors so they could excel in their gifts without the struggle of war, finances, resources, etc.

This episode explores the need for both people groups.

When Uninspired to Pray or Read Scripture

We all go through degrees of inspiration to pray and read/study the Bible. Sometimes when we are so inspired and in "the zone" we think we will always be like that, but when weariness comes in through the hardships of life, it doesn't mean we have done something wrong. We may need to approach God's Word in different ways. Sometimes our praise is more like declarations of what He said, sometimes it's crying out to Him, and for me, it always ends in worshipping Him and praying for others. There is something about God's Word that will even heal and deliver us from slumps of being uninspired and feeling disconnected from everything. Sometimes we can't even identify what is bothering us.

In this podcast I'm demonstrating in my prayer time how I did that-- I'm inviting you to my personal prayer time as I spontaneously pushed against the darts from the enemy of apathy, "how am I going to get through all my responsibilities" those thoughts that come from the pits of hell as soon as my feet hit the floor. But I didn't let it stop me from spending time with God and praising Him!

This is my first podcast ever! Interesting that I'm alone in my studio talking to an audience I never met before on the topic of loneliness. But I have heard loneliness is the root of many health issues and negative choices. Loneliness is not a need for company, but a need for "kind" (kindness, those that are the same kind -- not superficially by their outsides, but their heart).
