He got divorced, turned to drugs, and ended up homeless. Then one day he found coaching and turned his life around. He went from homeless veteran to entrepreneur. He teaches and coaches how to handle emotions stemming from PTSD or trauma, how to move forward in your life past "what happened", deeply connect with your loved ones, and find purpose in your life even if life feels pointless now.

Sound Journey 05: Nature and Time in Veracruz by Biomigrant

This sound journey, composed and recorded by Michael Alfred Wagner [Biomigrant] traces movements through time and place during two days of an artist residency in Espacio Pilam, in the green hills of Xico, Veracruz.

We first hear the echoing town bell from high above in the hills, as diverse choruses of birds accompany the setting sun and mix with distant cowbells, before descending to the Pilam house clearing, nestled into the slope above a canyon, where the powerful voices of bugs take us through the night and into the next morning. Then, down in the canyon, we trace the river back against its current as it gurgles through boulders, until finally we stand under the powerful roar of two waterfalls.

Our "Sound Journey" Series intends to explore the multitude of realities and experiences of what it is to be a human walking the earth. Every story and soundscape is meant to inspire and feed our curiosity, helping us observe our inner self in relation to what surrounds us.

Biomigrant is the musical expression of producer and multi-instrumentalist Michael Alfred Wagner. Born in the US, in 2014 he crossed Central America by bicycle, arriving in Colombia where he currently lives. With his mix of digital beats production, live instrumentation, traditional Latin American music, and field recordings he has brought joy and surprises to dance floors across the Americas and Europe. He explores sound as a medium to relive and share powerful moments and perspectives, and believes that through music and dance even the most painful experiences can be channeled into something beautiful.

Sergio Isauro is joined in conversation with Kenny Galloway, who works in his local school district providing bilingual education, community welfare, and social-emotional development support for the emergent English immigrant students, their families, and his fellow teachers and administrators across the district.

Kenny describes himself as a professional generalist - with an extensive background in management consulting and campaign management throughout Mexico, Central, and South America. He has visited over 40 countries for work, graduate studies, field research, and exploration. In addition to his professional career, he has undertaken numerous passion projects, including serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer, wine industry journalist, and community event producer.

Building upon his corporate and government background, Kenny spent the past 10 years planning a complete transition out of business and politics and dedicating his efforts solely to his true passions...music, community outreach, and bilingual education, which ultimately guided him back to his hometown of Worthington, Ohio.

Kenny is fluent in Spanish and proficient in French, but due to a 337% growth in Portuguese-speaking students, he will spend his entire Summer break in Rio de Janeiro, studying Portuguese full-time, to properly support the growing Brazilian population in Central Ohio.

This 1568-foot-deep cenote in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, is the home and shelter to thousands of Guacamayas, which fly out during sunrise after waking up. The sonic spectacle resembles a natural turbine that propels the birds up. You can here the sunrise energy waking up the Huahuas and the rest of the jungle, along with an impressed Sergio Isauro here and there.

Ronni Rancich is a Transformational Speaker and writer. Her practice combines modern medicine and science with spirituality and ancient eastern and mesoamerican healing modalities. Through her studies in fields like Energy Work, Neuroplasticity, and Heart-Brain Coherence, she has developed methods to facilitate the integration of people´s inner capabilities.

Ronni´s mission is that every individual and community lives at their highest potential; enabling an optimal society and an optimal collective reality for all.
