Conducta on breaking the mould and changing the record to his life

Coducta produced the biggest-selling UK Garage record in history, AJ Tracey’s "Ladbroke Grove". Conducta was riding high, traveling the world when life started to run him, after a number of years he found himself hitting rock bottom. After struggling with depression and burnout he entered rehab at the start of 2022, but it was then he began a new phase of life and unburdening the limitations he put on his music and personal life. This was an incredible conversation and I’m so grateful to share it with you.

Katinka Blackford Newman on the pill that nearly took her life

This week Francesca is joined by Katinka Blackford Newman, she is an award-winning documentary film director and writer with countless hours of high-end broadcast TV to her name. She has worked in television for over 25 years and has made films for major international broadcasters and streamers including Discovery, National Geographic, HBO Max, BBC TV, ITV, and Channel 4.

In 2016 she applied her investigative and story-telling skills to writing a best-selling book. ‘The Pill That Steals Lives’ (John Blake Publishing), is a personal memoir and investigation based on her own experience. In 2012 an adverse reaction to a prescription drug led to a year long illness that nearly caused her to lose her life. Her subsequent research uncovered she was not alone and her book was made into a 1-hour special Panorama investigation. Subsequently, she has become an advocate for awareness of the risks of prescription drugs. She has written widely for national newspapers on this subject and has been interviewed on TV and radio around the world.

Sarah Hill was born in Fort Worth, Texas and remained there with her family until she attended school at The University of Oklahoma for Writing and Journalism. After school, Sarah worked for Al Jazeera English in Washington, D.C. as a Bookings Producer. When she returned to the Texas area she involved herself with startups and eventually began employment with an agency based in L.A. specializing in social media — working with clients like HBO, Nike, and more. Sarah is now the Founder of Bobi, the social media agency.

Sarah provides so many pearls of wisdom on entrepreneurship through her wild experiences in the start-up community in LA to running her own business today.

About Francesca:

Francesca was 28 years old when she turned down a dream role, working for one of the biggest drinks companies in the world, to set-up her own business (29 London) and pursue her passion to tell stories for brands, and now people too (Platform). Running her own business fast-tracked Fran's self-development journey. She understood how brands needed to tell their story, but now was forced to look at her own personal story; what were my values and beliefs? It’s through her work with owners, founders, and like-minded individuals that continue to push her to keep learning and help others to do the same; developing a strong mind, body and soul connection. Francesca describes that despite initially feeling empowered and channeling her inner Beyonce circa ‘Run the World (girls)’ her first day as her own boss to in fact be less Independent Women and more Survivor, but she continues to grow and learn on her journey each day.

About Uncle Kevin:

Since his mid-teens, Kevin had dreamt of becoming a priest. He first explored his religious vocation with the Rominians in the 70s, before leaving to work for The Philharmonia Orchestra in London and then became a teacher. In 1991 he moved to the USA to study theology and worked in parishes on the West Coast.

In 2000 he was ordained a priest with The American Catholic Church - an Independent Catholic Church that ordains men and women, married and single, straight and gay - and started work as a hospice chaplain.

In 2005 he and his boyfriend (now husband) bought their current residence in Oregon and opened an event and retreat center.
