Growing up a "Theater Queen" he was persuaded by his acting teachers to try stand up comedy (his Shakespeare perfomance sealed the deal 💀) so he did. We talk about him being openly gay back in the 90's when it wasn't "mainstream" enough so he went the cruise ship/college circuit route and was booked for every gay event there was, to him co-writing Judy Gold's show "Yes, You Can Say That" for Off Broadway and now teaching comedy classes at the famous Comedy Cellar here in NYC.... He's and old skool guy who's a new skool comic and has created his own way into the NYC comedy scene by building a comedy dojo from scratch in the backroom of a dive bar on MacDougal St in the West Village and turned it into a successful comedy club. So successful that the "dive bar" opened a 2nd location right in the heart of Midtown Manhattan and is now a premiere showcase comedy club. Nowadays, he and his business partner Gabe Dorado have set their sights on a 3rd location....Tune in to hear his rags to riches story "FUBU" style and get a little inspired by his tenacity against the gatekeepers.
