A musician, muse, artist and designer, Daphne is renowned for her work in the arts. She has collected fashion, specifically haute couture, for a number of years, and is known for her iconic appearance complete with towering heel-less shoes. She’s worked with photographers such as David La Chapelle, Steven Klein and Nick Knight, who has directed most of her music videos. In the mid-1980s, she lived in New York City with her sister Catherine Guinness, a companion of Andy Warhol.

Across her life, Daphne has also produced Oscar-nominated films, designed a range of clothing with Dover Street Market and released an eponymous fragrance with fashion house Comme des Garçons. She is the founder of the Isabella Blow Foundation, a charitable foundation supporting aspiring art and fashion students and facilitating research in the fields of depression and mental health.

He’s made hats for everyone from Boy George and Grace Jones to Jean Paul Gaultier and Marc Jacobs. In this episode, Stephen reveals his love for Fellini, Britney Spears, and how hats can change the world.

Stephen studied at Central Saint Martins school, where he graduated in 1979. A regular on the London club scene, by 1980 he was making hats for Boy George, Spandau Ballet and Grace Jones and was sufficiently established to open his own shop. As his reputation and clientele steadily grew, he was invited to represent Britain in fashion shows in New York, Montreal, Helsinki and Tokyo. In 1984, he became the first British milliner to work in Paris, designing hats for Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler and COMME des GARÇONS, whilst more recent associations include Dior and Marc Jacobs.

Cozette is known to jump on the DJ decks now and again, but mainly she’s a fashion consultant, editor and mentor, with a serious love of clothes and music. In this episode she talks about the magic of Bananarama and pioneering London Fashion Week Men’s.

Working the door for Fat Tony’s night in the West End in the 90s, Cozette was a mainstay in London nightlife. During this time, she worked as PA and design assistant to Bella Freud, and was a PR at luxury jeweller Solange Azagury. In 2008, she launched her own much lauded fashion label SIBLING, which closed in 2017. During the pandemic she worked alongside designers to set up the Emergency Designer Network making thousands of high grade scrubs and gowns for the NHS.

Upending stereotypes of masculinity and identity in her work by drawing on her West-Indian heritage, Bianca’s collections always come with a twist. In this episode, she shares how Kelis influenced her personal style, and having Beyoncé’s 'Alien Superstar' on constant repeat.

Nominated as Menswear Designer of the Year by the British Fashion Awards in 2023, Bianca grew up in London. She completed her BA in Fashion Design at Kingston University, then specialised in menswear during her MA at the Royal College of Art. Her research is heavily based on self-documentation and in June 2017 she curated an exhibition entitled ‘Personal Politics’, and then in 2019, she curated ‘Nearness’ at Market Row in Brixton, held to coincide with Black History Month.

Michaela’s work arose from her own desire to empower her body, working through feelings of body dysmorphia. As part of her intimate study of the body, she will often model and photograph her own pieces, creating self portraits. Previously a resident at Alexander McQueen’s Sarabande Foundation, Michaela creates custom-made lingerie pieces that are designed to sculpt the body and enhance the society-perceived ‘imperfections’, offering a new and more forgiving perspective on the female form.
