Niko had just started doing stand up comedy seven months before the pandemic hit, having done around 30 live open mics while traveling for their job in sales. He had never done comedy in his home comedy scene in Idaho, so the pandemic provided the perfect opportunity to pursue it. Niko noticed that one of the comedians they had met, Carol Freeman, was doing a Zoom open mic, so they decided to check it out. Niko was then introduced to Rachel Rothenberg, a great comic from Salt Lake City, who was doing a Zoom open mic with 25-30 comics.

Niko talked about how they first got into virtual comedy, which was by watching other people do sets in their living rooms and cars. After seeing Carol do her set, Niko decided to figure out how to do a set of their own, despite not having the proper equipment. They used their laptop's camera and picked an angle of their garage to show to the viewers. Niko then joined various Facebook groups for various comedy scenes and did sets in different cities such as Portland and Seattle. They figured out how to utilize virtual comedy while they were in the midst of the pandemic, which was an unknown at the time.

The conversation focuses on how Niko created an online platform to organize open mics during the pandemic. He noticed that many people were doing Zoom open mics, but there was no central hub for information about them. He created a Facebook group and a Google Sheets list to provide this information, including the time, location, hosts, and sign up process. He also wanted the group to be a community, so he invited anyone interested to join. This platform has been a valuable resource for comedians and fans of comedy alike in the absence of live shows.

Rita’s first solo HBO special, Rita Rudner’s One Night Stand, was nominated for several awards, as was her eponymous English BBC television show that later appeared in the USA on A&E. Rudner’s two one-hour specials for HBO, Born to Be Mild and Married Without Children, were ratings standouts and she performed all over the country, filling Carnegie Hall in New York three times. In 2008 Rita Rudner: Live From Las Vegas was PBS’s first ever stand-up comedy special.

Rita Rudner has written five books; her bestselling non-fiction titles, Naked Beneath My Clothes, Rita Rudner’s Guide to Men and I Still Have It…I Just Can’t Remember Where I Put It, plus the novels Tickled Pink and Turning the Tables. The audio version of Naked Beneath My Clothes received a Grammy nomination. Her autobiography, My Life in Dog Years is available on Rita’s website and on Amazon.

Rudner is a frequent collaborator with her writer/producer husband of thirty years, Martin Bergman. The couple’s first produced film script was Peter’s Friends. The film, starring Emma Thompson, Hugh Laurie, Kenneth Branagh, Imelda Staunton, Stephen Fry, and Rita, won the Evening Standard Peter Sellers Award for Best British Film and was nominated for the Goya Award for Best European Film of 1994. The script was nominated for a WGA Best Screenplay Award and Rita won Best Supporting Actress at the American Comedy Awards.

The couple’s second film project, a TV movie called A Weekend In The Country, starred Rita, Jack Lemmon, Dudley Moore, Richard Lewis, Christine Lahti, Betty White and Faith Ford.

Bergman and Rudner’s last film, Thanks, premiered at the 2011 Palm Springs International Film Festival, won several awards on the film festival circuit and was bought by and frequently aired on Showtime.

In 2003, Rudner launched from Las Vegas her first syndicated daily TV show, Ask Rita, which featured a panel of celebrities lightheartedly attempting to solve personal problems submitted by members of the public; it ran for two years. For her work on the show, American Women In Radio and Television awarded Rudner a Gracie Allen Award for Best Program Host.

Rita helped write the 2001 and 2003 Oscar shows with Steve Martin and the 2002 Oscar broadcast with Whoopi Goldberg.

Rita Rudner moved to New York at the age of fifteen to become a dancer on Broadway. She appeared in several shows, including the original productions of Follies and Mack and Mabel. It was while in Annie on Broadway that she began exploring the comedy clubs of Manhattan. In the early ‘80s, Rudner took a full-time leap from chorus lines to punch lines and was soon a regular guest on both Late Night With David Letterman and The Tonight Show.

In 2009, Rita, Bette Midler and Sheryl Crow joined forces to perform a fundraiser for President Obama and the Democratic leader of the Senate, Harry Reid.

In 2012, Rita and Martin wrote and performed The Rita Rudner Show for BBC radio in London. Rita also appeared in the Showtime comedy special Rita Rudner and Three Potential Ex-Husbands.

In June 2016 Rita was invited and honored to speak about her career and technique in comedy at Cambridge University, England. In 2017 she was invited by Oprah Winfrey to appear on a cruise to Alaska that Oprah did in partnership with Holland America.

In 2018, Rita’s tenth TV special was released – A Tale Of Two Dresses. The special also featured Rita and Martin’s singer/songwriter daughter Molly Bergman.

His long career in comedy began with his syndicated comic strip, Jim's Journal, which led to a New York Times bestselling book collection. After that, he founded the world’s first humor website, TheOnion.com. He’s served as The Onion’s owner and editor-in-chief, on and off, for much of the last 30 years.

Scott's work has won a Peabody award, the Thurber Prize for American Humor, and dozens of Webby Awards. In addition, he earned the #43 spot on Time magazine’s list of the Top 50 “Cyber Elite” alongside such iconic figures as Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and George Lucas.

Scott shares his humor-writing secrets in the best-selling How to Write Funny book series. The latest addition is How to Write Funny Characters. He mentors comedians and comedy writers via a series of online classes he developed through the Second City Training Center in Chicago. He offers workshops, live writers' rooms, and free resources for comedy writers through the How to Write Funny website.

In his spare time, Scott is an accomplished voice actor who’s performed in many national commercials, video games and animated cartoons, including Saturday Night Live’s “TV Funhouse.” He’s also written and directed several award-winning short films, two feature films, Spaceman, and Bad Meat, and several novels. Dewayne started performing standup with the Armed Services Arts Partnership’s Comedy Bootcamp, a crash course in standup comedy for veterans and family members which he now teaches. Dewayne has worked alongside amazing comedians like Josh Blue, Sal Vulcano, Seth Herzog, Rob Riggle, Jackie Kashian, Ryan Niemiller, Tony Woods, PJ Walsh, and many others. Dewayne was a finalist in the "Last DC Comic Standing” and Magooby’s Joke House’s comedian of the year competition. He also produces shows throughout the DMV (DC/MD/VA) area.

A former Managing Director at NASDAQ, Ken spent 13 years in corporate sales before leaving 6 years ago to pursue his dream of being a stand up comedian and motivational speaker. With an ability to access both the smartest and the stupidest parts of your brain, there’s a reason this comedy phenom has been headlining comedy clubs nationwide for over 20 years.

Mo began his professional full-time comedy career in July 1996 featuring in clubs throughout the United States and by 1999 he was headlining.

In 1998 Mo made an appearance in Bret Michael’s film, A Letter from Death Row.

After impressing Keenan Ivory Wayans with a good natured roast, Mo was invited to be the opening act on tour with Keenan in 1999.

In 2003 he was given his own Las Vegas show, “The Mo Funny Show” at the Casino Royale.

In the past few years Mo has been on several syndicated radio shows in major markets, such as Bob & Tom (Indianapolis), and Mancow (Chicago). He made his way through the ranks to become a semi-finalist in both the San Francisco Comedy Competition (2012) and the Seattle Comedy Competition (2013) and has been a headliner at a number of comedy festivals such as: Asheville Comedy Fest (2015), Altercation Comedy Festival (2016 & 2018), Hopkins Comedy Festival (2017), Memphis Comedy Festival (2017), North Carolina Comedy Festival (2018).

On December 15, 2017 Mo’s first national stand-up appearance aired on Comedy Central where he appeared in Kevin Hart’s “Hart of the City: Memphis”

Mo has released four CD’s: Evolution (2006), Nappy Headed Hoes and Other FCC Infractions (2008), Just in Case the Mayans are Right….(2016) (featured on the iTunes new and notable charts front page for 5 months), and Got Clots (2016).

Got Clots is a hilarious look at life, chronicling 77 days of hospitalization, as can only be told from inside the comedic mind of Mo Alexander and was released exactly one year from the time of his first death and resurrection which occurred on April 5, 2015 (Easter Sunday).

Mo is excited to announce his signing with record label Stand Up! Records owned by Grammy Award Winner Dan Schlissel. In Septemeber of 2019, Mo made history by becoming the first comedian ever to record an album at world famous Sun Studio in Memphis, TN. The album is as yet unnamed and it’s release is to be announced soon.

To say that Mo is funny is like saying that Michelangelo was a good painter. Taking all of life’s absurdities and creating a night of hysterical laughter is why Mo Alexander is one of this industries greats. Mo takes a lifetime of experience and insight and transforms them into some of the most ingenious laugh riots you will ever experience in your life. Her comedy style has been described as “Edgy/Classy” as she finds ways to speak about complicated issues that can offend, but she’s so charming that you can’t be mad at her.

Shanna has performed across North America, including Montreal and Edmonton in Canada. You can see her backside on episode 5 of Amazon’s “Inside Jokes” cause she crashed JFL. She can also be seen on an upcoming season of “Coming To The Stage,” which she was invited to do. 

Shanna’s festival appearances include the 208 Festival, Altercation Festival, Black Girl Giggles, Black Women In Comedy Festival (NY) and the Devil Cup Festival, where she took home the trophy in 2018. She was also a finalist in the inaugural ABFF Comedy fest in 2021.

She’s currently working on a book about her life as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in nursing homes which will be available in September, 2021. What most people don’t realize about Andy is just how married he is to stand up comedy. He’s the elder statesman of the Houston scene. At 72 years old, he is at a different mic or show 3-5 nights a week. His legal pad never leaves his side. He talks theory with new comedians and old. I’ve personally never seen someone embody an art like Andy does stand up.

Which is what makes the non-existence of an Andy Huggins comedy special so tragic and in such desperate need of repair.

Drew’s comedy specials, late-night tv appearances, and his status as an all-time favorite on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom radio show have given him a wide following, particularly in the Midwest. He is one of the few people ever to appear on The Tonight show two separate times for two different careers.

Born in Casablanca, Morocco to a British mother and American father, Drew has spent most of his life in Southwestern Ohio except for a twelve year stretch in Hollywood. In 2004, he fled California saying, At the end of the day the sun doesn’t set in L.A.—it just gives up and drops into the ocean with a bitter hiss. Drew settled in Hillsboro, Ohio to try his hand as a cattle producer in between a busy comedy tour schedule. His farming misadventures went into his standup and Drew gained an entirely new audience, the agricultural community, further expanding his popularity in the Midwest. In 2011, Hastings ran for mayor of Hillsboro on a populist campaign. “I think this Country is going to Hell in a hand basket. I can’t do anything about the whole U.S. but I can do something about the one place I live.” Outspoken and blunt, he won in a landslide and got to work turning around the city's financial woes and make critical infrastructure improvements. Incensed when Hastings won a second term in 2016, he was targeted by a small faction of elected officials in what most observers called a political witch hunt. Drew was indicted on four felonies, the most serious charge being the dumping of his trash into a city dumpster. He was found not guilty, acquitted of all charges and served out his second term.

About “Chasing Drew Hastings”:

When Drew Hastings was seven years old, his father, also named Drew Hastings, left the family, remarried, and had another son, named Drew Hastings. “Suddenly there were three Drew Hastings,” Hastings writes, “me, the one who left me, and the one who replaced me.” And so begins a life-long pursuit of a name, and one long, slow skid toward the realization that we’re all just making it up as we go along.

The son of a single mother, Hastings picks his way through suburban and urban Ohio, obsessed with proving himself against the backdrop of the counterculture of the Sixties and Seventies. He opens a paper shredding business, tries his hand as a rug salesman, even dabbles in muskrat trapping. Most enterprises end in disaster and nothing lasts long. Finally someone suggests standup comedy—friends always said he was funny, plus the idea of ‘Drew Hastings’ on marquees all over the country is too much to pass up. He moves to Hollywood where he flirts with fame but can’t quite bring himself to grovel long enough. And just as a dark depression takes hold, he finally bolts, buys a farm in rural Appalachian Ohio, and at the age of fifty, starts over, breeding cattle, developing real estate, and yes, becoming the mayor of Hillsboro, Ohio.

Refreshingly honest and darkly funny, Chasing Drew Hastings is a wide-ranging memoir of a life ruled by misadventure and coincidence, growing up a confused kid and striving to find out what it means to be a man. Drawing on everything from small town politics to the ambition and malaise of show biz, Drew Hastings reckons with American masculinity, fatherhood, and inheritance head on. In addition to performing in 46 of the 50 states in the US, Eddie has also done stand-up in England, Australia, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, France, Holland, Dhaka and Hong Kong.

For seventeen years, he worked on The Late Show with David Letterman. He served as the audience warm-up and for eleven of those years he was the Stand Up Comedy Talent Coordinator.

Eddie has taped more than 100 TV shows in six different countries, including ten appearances on The Late Show and on an Emmy nominated episode of the FX hit series, “Louie.”

A 3-time MAC award winner for Outstanding Male Comic in NYC, he has hosted and performed for hundreds of corporate events, including ESPN, Glaxo Welcome. Hyatt Hotels and BMC Software.

He performed on some of the greatest stages in the world including The Shrine Auditorium and Radio City Music Hall.

He has been the audience warm-up for many shows including the “Dana Carvey Show,” “Madigan Men,” “This is Your Life” and for a short time, early episodes of Saved By The Bell.”

He has appeared in numerous films as an actor, including, “30 Years To Life” with Tracy Morgan. He has used his voice talents in many animated series including Comedy Central’s “Dr Katz” and ABC’s “Science Court.”

Eddie produces and helps book stand-up talent all over the world. He was the architect and for the first ten years, was the creative director of the wildly successful “Great American Comedy Festival.” It honors Johnny Carson in his hometown of Norfolk, Nebraska.

He had assisted in booking the US acts for the International TV show, “The World Stands Up.”

He also ran the incredibly popular “Paper Moon” comedy club in NYC that gave many comics their first big break.

He also helped create the Emerson Comedy Workshop, founded in 1976, which continues to thrive today. He currently teaches a highly acclaimed stand-up comedy workshop worldwide that helps comics young and old to take their comedy work to the next level.

Now, because of the strangest of love stories, Jeff has moved to Central North Carolina and is focusing on his life long love of sleight of hand card magic. Growing up in Syracuse, New York, Jeff's love of card magic was instilled in him at an early age, as his dad, Arthur Altman, was one of the finest card handlers in the country. It wasn't long before Jeff, as a young boy, began fiddling with a deck of cards. Somehow, despite some of his "strange behaviors" Jeff was accepted into Johns Hopkins University to study Social and Behavioral Sciences. During his time in Baltimore, Jeff became close friends with card man extraordinaire, Frank Thompson. After graduating from college, Jeff immediately set his sights on Hollywood and the world famous Magic Castle. It was during this time at the "Castle" that Jeff was able to meet and befriend such card greats as Steve Freeman, Ricky Jay and the greatest of them all the "Professor" Dai Vernon.

Through a series of innovative studies involving thousands of research participants from birth to age 90, her research has found that our lives in sound, for better (musicians, bilinguals) or worse (language disorders, concussion, aging, hearing loss), shape auditory processing. She continues to conduct parallel experiments in animal models to elucidate the mechanisms underlying these phenomena.

Never having accepted a lack of technology as a roadblock to scientific discovery, Kraus has invented new ways to measure the biology of sound processing in humans that provide unprecedented precision and granularity in indexing brain function. With her technological innovations she is now pushing science beyond the traditional laboratory by conducting studies in schools, community centers, and clinics.

Using the principles of neuroscience to improve human communication, she advocates for best practices in education, health, and social policy.

Greg hails from St. Louis, MO, where his father was a high school wrestling coach and his mother made him play clarinet in the band. He has captivated audiences with anecdotes about the conflict inherent in meshing the two disparate high school identities of varsity wrestler and band geek. Slowing down is not in Steve Sabo's vocabulary. Tirelessly working the road an astonishing 52 weeks a year, this comedy road warrior brings laughter and joy all over the nation, and beyond. No stage is too big or too small; he has performed for crowds as large as 5,000 and as small as two. First hitting the comedy stage straight out of high school at 18, he has honed his craft at comedy clubs, dirty bars, shiny casinos, military bases, cruise ships, colleges, corporate shows, fundraisers, restaurants and even a back yard or two. His comedy has universal appeal, and his experience shows it.

In his 29 years as a performer, he has had the privilege of sharing the stage with comedy legends such as Joan Rivers, Chris Rock, Kevin James, Dave Attel, Jim Breuer, Christopher Titus and Tom Green. He has made television appearances on HBO, NBC, E! and Comedy Central. He is heard regularly on SiriusXM Satellite Radio and has appeared on the nationally syndicated "Sex Talk Live" , "BTS Radio Show" and "The Jiggy Jaguar Show".

In addition, he landed the lead in a low-budget horror film ("Hell's Lake", currently in post-production), entertained the troops in Iraq and Kuwait, performed at 2007's "Gathering of the Juggalos", and has been seen nationally and internationally at such festivals as Gilda's "Laughfest"(three times), Calgary's "Funnyfest", "The Detroit International Comedy Festival" (twice) and "The Great Plains Comedy Festival" (twice). In all, he has performed in 46 states, 7 countries and 4 islands. He also filmed a cameo in another full length feature film, "PI Day, Die Day" , which was released theatrically on March 14, 2016. In May of 2017, he was honored to perform on "Rock on the Range", the nation's largest rock music festival, headlined by Metallica.

An admitted workaholic, Sabo has released six full length comedy albums, including 2009's "A Mouthful of Sea-Monkeys" which was heralded as "One of the top ten comedy albums of 2009" according to the Serious Comedy Site. His plans to record his newest CD, "Put Away Wet" have been delayed due to Covid-19 lockdowns. However, instead of sitting on his laurels he took the opportunity to write and release his first novel, a thriller titled "Jester's Run" in late 2020 and his latest book, "How to FAIL at Stand-Up Comedy" in April of 2021. All of his releases are available on Amazon and I-Tunes.

Known among his peers as a consummate professional and a comedy chameleon, he has the ability to adjust his act to his environment. Whether the situation calls for a clean show, a dirty show or something in between, he has the experience and material to satisfy any crowd. Considered adult-friendly and intelligent, his honest and observational style, topped with a high energy and frenetic pace, has made him a fan favorite from coast to coast.

After College, Wali was working on being the best Architect New England has ever known. But the calling for show business was too strong. He played in bands, did session work, but that wasn’t enough. He needed more.

Always having a keen sense of humor, his parents urged him to try stand-up comedy. His first time on stage Wali was convinced that he had bombed, but the manager paid him and asked him to come back every week as a featured act. Wali Collins has been going strong ever since. Wali moved to New York City to work on a show for Comedy Central called “Stand-up Stand-up”. He hosted the largest funniest, most varied collection of stand-up comedians in the world.

He also landed small roles in films like the independent feature, "Submission", starring Stanley Tucci and Chris Rock's "Top Five". And in the "cult" classic, “Coyote Ugly”.

The British tabloid “The Daily Mail” ignited a firestorm of press coverage for April Brucker with a feature story headlined, “Ventriloquist who splashes out £134,000 a year on her 16 PUPPETS that even have their own bedroom dumps her fiancé after he tells her, ‘It’s them or me!’”

The story spread internationally thanks to dozens of foreign newspapers and magazines and went viral on the Web. And then came obsessed suitors from all over the world. Now her dating resume includes stalkers, ex-cons and of course restraining orders. Police sirens often accompany April when she is breaking up with an obsessed suitor.

April isn’t asking for the moon. She doesn’t want a doctor, lawyer, or Native American chieftain. Nope, those are pipe dreams her mother told her to abandon long ago: “Sweetie, just remember people don’t want to break up with you.” April Brucker just wants a dude who can put up with 16 puppet children, a closet full of costumes, boxes of books and comics and her love for non-fiction history documentaries and pretzels. If you can deal with those things, you are Mr. Okay and maybe your one arrest and partial lobotomy just may be okay, too.

April earned her BFA in Acting in 2007 from New York University Tisch School of the Arts and in 2019 was awarded an MFA in Creative Writing/Screenwriting from Antioch University Los Angeles. She has been a volunteer advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness, LGBTQ+ rights, cervical cancer awareness, anti-bullying, domestic violence prevention and body positivity. She has authored "Don't Read My Lips! — America's Foremost Female Ventriloquist Reveals the Secrets of a Successful Vent" (ISBN: 0984208585) and “I Came, I Saw, I Sang: Memoirs of a Singing Telegram Delivery Girl” (ISBN 0741477939), which are available from bookstores and online retailers.

April currently is appearing as the special guest star in "BurlesQ," an all-female review at Alexis Park Resort Las Vegas.

Corey spent the next decade hawking jokes in dingy bars and comedy clubs at night then waking up to do random jobs to supplement his income. A house painter, retail associate, motorcycle salesman, urine sample collector, flower delivery boy, hotel maid, college textbook reseller and hay bailer. At one point in his career, he ran a family bakery with his mother where he was considered the “Head Quiche Chef”.

Corey’s stand up blends humor and common sense into a high energy act that is as full of as many silly faces and goofy jokes as it is emotionally driven tangents. Under his PBR hat is a giant head, and under that are surprisingly thought-provoking rants on society, culture, and politics.

Since hitting his first open mic at Seattle’s Comedy Underground when he was barely 17, Collin has come a long way. His unique adoption of dark comedy has allowed him to perform across North America and Europe at clubs, colleges, and even a stadium. His humor proves irresistible to audiences, earning him a position as Niantic’s lead live broadcaster for 2016, as well as a nomination as one of Utah’s top comedians, and various other accolades.
