Football Weekly Recap August 19-21!

Here is the script for the Episode: Welcome to stoppage time podcast, The football week is finished we had some amazing games this weekend. Sorry for no episode last week, I was just too busy to make an episode, but we are back this week. Let’s get started with the Premier league. Tottenham vs Wolves Tottenham did win this game 1-0, but I thought Wolves were better for the majority of this game. Wolves had more shots, passes, and possession. Harry Kane is just clinical for Tottenham and that was the difference in this game. Next game is Leicester city vs Southhampton. Southampton won this game 2-1 at the King power. This is a very bad start for Leicester. Southampton had more shots, but Lecieter did control the game, but they need to make better with their chances that they had. Fulham vs Brentford, this game was amazing this is why we watch the Premier league. Fulham won 3-2 vs Brentford. João Palhinha impact to this Fulham team is amazing and he also got his goal in the 20’ minute. This game was pretty even, but Fulham did have 5 more shots and that could have made the difference in the game. Ivan Toney also had another good game. Now we only have time for two more Premier league games so we are going to be talking about Leeds United vs Chelsea, and Newcastle vs Manchester City. First Leeds vs Chelsea. Leeds were just the better side, but Chelsea did have their moments in this game. Rodrigo, Aaronson and Harrison continue their amazing form. Tyler Adam, and Marc Roca in that double pivot were amazing. And the back four for Leeds look very solid in this game. Koulibaly got the red and those two fouls were not neccery. Aaronson’s Press made the difference for the fist goal, Mendy did make a mistake but Aaronson caused the mistake. Then the second was an amazing ball in the box by Harrison to the head of Rodrigo, and the third was a good cross from James intended for Aaronson, but it got to Rodrigo that headed it to Harrison for a nice finish. The last Premier league game that we are going to talk about is Newcastle vs Manchester City, Wow, 3-3 is a crazy result. City took the lead in 8 mines via Ikay, but Newcastle came back with a weird almiron goal. Then a nice finish for Calluem Wilson made it 2-1. THen a free kick master piece from Tripper, top left corner, I think Ederson could have done more because that is his post, but the strike was still amazing. Then City would get momentum and get back in the game. Haaland pulled one back from a defection, but he was in the right position. Then an amazing pass from Kevin de Bruyne, in-between the legs of the defender to Bernardo Silva, which had a very nice finish in the Botton right corner. Now on to the crazy games in every league. PSG dominate game vs Lille. This was a big surprise to me, but PSG won 1-7 away from home. Mbappé got revenge from his previous performance with a hat-tick, but Neymar man of the match with 2 goals and 3 assists. This team is playing more as a team, but we just have to see it in the champions league. Bayern won 7-0 vs Bochum. Mané has adapted very good to his new club, I did not have time to watch this game, but from the replays they just played like a team. Now another Bundesliga game is Dortmund vs Bremen which they were leading 2-0 in the 88’ minute, but conceded three late goals, the last being in the 95 minute. I just can not understand how you can loose this game. But now to end the episode we are going across the Atlantic to the Estadio Azteca, were America beat Cruz Azul 7-0. This game had some amazing goals like the first and the third. America made Cruz Azul fire their manager in the process. This is going to end out weekly roundup in football. · The South Korean International was not placed in the nominations for the premier league player of the year. Salah, Mane, KDB, VVD, Ronaldo, and his teammate Harry Kane was nominated as well.

· Mbappe denied rumors of he wanting Neymar and Pochettino out of the club and he said false on a twitter reply. Talk about the contract, and how this can affect the club and what this means for Mbappe and his teammates

· Latest transfers and rumors – Alexandre Lacazette is set to re-join French side Lyon on a free transfer from Arsenal. This is a rumor, but Juventus are set to offer Authur for Gabreil Martinelli. Give opinion. Young American goalkeeper, Gabriel Slonina is set to join Real Madrid from Chicago fire. His agent says “We hope Chicago can find an agreement with Real Madrid to realize Gabriel’s dream of playing for Real”.

· Ryan Gravenberch has signed form Ajax to Bayern, The sale does include a 7% sell on clause.
