Willkommen zurück! Zwischen Aufnahme und Veröffentlichung dieser „Elk Country“ Folge sind ein paar Wochen vergangen, was der Tatsache geschuldet ist, dass die Wahl der Elche zwischen Brüllen im Wald und Videoschnitt zuletzt oft zu Gunsten der Natur ausfiel. Prioritäten! Aber das Warten hat sich gelohnt (nicht nur aufgrund der wertvollen Finanztipps von Vincent!). Diesmal wird über KI-Seinfeld diskutiert, Filme über Flugzeugabstürze mit Uruk-Hais an Bord ausgewertet und über die richtige Art und Weise nachgedacht, wie man nicht-englische internationale Filme anschaut. Auf Deutsch? Englisch? Auswärts? Bei der anschließenden Auswertung von Saw 2 und dem letzten Dschungelcamp könnt ihr Tarek zudem dabei beobachten, wie er die Rudelbildung mit Henrike und Vincent in Frage stellt. Watch and enjoy!

Endlich! Nach einem halben Jahr Vorfreude auf Barbenheimer war es endlich soweit. Die Elche waren auf Wanderschaft, haben sich in ihre pinken Lederjacken geschmissen und direkt beide Filme geschaut. Entsprechend dreht sich heute alles um die Kinohighlights des Jahres. Auch der gewohnte Bildungsauftrag bleibt davon nicht verschont. Doch wurden die hohen Erwartungen am Ende auch erfüllt? Wer gewinnt am Ende bei Barbie vs. Oppenheimer? Als wäre das nicht genug, haben Alex und Tarek endlich Asteroid City gesehen und ihre Urteile könnten unterschiedlicher nicht ausfallen. Wurde das Feuerzeug tatsächlich vor dem Streichholz erfunden? Enola Holmes verrät uns auf Netflix zumindest einen Teil der Geschichte. Viel Interessanter sind allerdings die ersten Fotos von Dune 2, die wir auf Vanity Fair bewundern. Und wusstest du, dass Peter Jackson mehrere Cameos in Herr der Ringe hatte? Er spielt zum Beispiel einen Klingonen auf einem Piratenschiff. Das sagt zumindest der Elch. Dann spoilern wir noch wenig zu Gamora in Endgame und freuen uns gemeinsam auf Fast X und Guardians 3. Einige von uns mehr als die anderen natürlich. Vin Diesel ist eines unserer Idole und definitiv der beste Schauspieler in Guardians. Und hast du "Sonne und Beton" schon im Kino gesehen? Wir haben uns gefragt, ob der amerikanische Traum wirklich erreichbar ist und welche Rolle Glück, Geld und soziale Herkunft dabei spielen. Während wir uns in die Welt dieser faszinierenden Geschichten vertieft haben, haben wir auch diskutiert, ob der amerikanische Traum heutzutage noch relevant ist und welche Auswirkungen er auf unsere Gesellschaft hat.

Und jetzt zu einem weiteren Thema, das uns in der letzten Zeit beschäftigt hat: das Rätsel der Kreuzung zwischen Schaaf und Ziege. Willkommen zurück zum Elk Country Podcast, in dem wir über alles reden, was mit Elchen zu tun hat, sofern wir nicht gerade zu völlig anderen Themen abschweifen.

Das Wichtigste zuerst: Wir haben eine einwöchige Pause eingelegt um uns auf diesen besonderen Moment vorzubereiten (und uns alle mit unseren versteckten Verweisen auf vergangene und zukünftige Folgen komplett zu verwirren): Der Elch zeigt sein wunderschönes Geweih!

Ja, es stimmt, Alex gibt ihre Identität preis, und was sollen wir sagen, sie ist eine echte Disney-Prinzessin! Apropos Disney: Alex und Tarek berichten von ihrer USA Reise und ziehen ein erstes Fazit zu ihrem Besuch in den Universal Studios in LA. Aber keine Sorge, wir haben nicht nur über Freizeitparks gesprochen. Henrike brachte echte Elch-Inhalte auf den Tisch und begeisterte den Rest der Crew mit ihren Ausflugsplänen an einen der Orte, an dem sie gemeinsam den majestätischen Tieren, die sie so sehr lieben, ganz nahe kommen können.

Außerdem haben wir herausgefunden, zu welchem Harry-Potter-Haus jedes Elch Mitglied gehört. Die Aufteilung auf die vier Häuser war zum Teil sehr überraschend, aber nicht so überraschend wie Vincents verblüffendes Faktenwissen über Twilight. Wer hätte gedacht, dass er sich so für funkelnde Vampire und deren Lifestyle begeistert? Doch reicht das aus, um die Quizfrage der Woche zu beantworten?
