Welcome to the 14th episode of Mindful Progress: A Journey where I take a different approach and instead of talking about creepypasta I talk about the Dyatlov Pass Incident.

In February 1959, nine experienced hikers ventured into the remote Ural Mountains of the Soviet Union and never returned. Weeks later, search teams discovered their abandoned campsite on the slopes of Kholat Syakhl—their tent mysteriously cut open from the inside, their belongings left behind, and footprints leading barefoot into the freezing darkness. What followed was one of the strangest investigations in modern history. Bodies were discovered scattered across the snow, some with severe internal injuries and others missing parts of their faces, yet there were no clear signs of struggle. In this chilling episode, we dive deep into the enduring mystery of the Dyatlov Pass incident, exploring the expedition itself, the disturbing discoveries made by investigators, and the many theories that attempt to explain what happened that night. From natural disasters and secret military experiments to the unsettling possibility that the truth may simply never be known, this is the story of a mountain that still refuses to give answers.

This podcast usually covers and talks about creepypastas so if that's what you're into then you should probably tune in every month on the last Friday at 9PM EST.

The work presented to you has been created by Torrid Embrox while the stories and music have been taken from other sources.

Music Used (Copyright free): https://youtu.be/heMkiehWN4E?si=zZYz_d4BK8KKSIKU

Contact information can be found on socials of Torrid Embrox.

Podcast "Mindful Progress: A Journey" is available on every podcast streaming service.

Link: https://mylink.page/torridembrox

Hosted on Acast.

Late at night, when the room is quiet and the screen begins to glow, video games can feel less like entertainment and more like places that are already awake. In this episode, host Torrid Embrox explores the unsettling world of haunted code and digital folklore, weaving together the stories of BEN Drowned, Herobrine, and MissingNo. Through slow-burn storytelling and reflective analysis, the episode examines how corrupted save files, unexplained figures, and broken data gave rise to some of the internet’s most enduring horror legends.

High above the forests of the Kingdom of Hungary stands Csejte Castle—a place where whispers once carried farther than screams. In this immersive episode of Mindful Progress: A Journey, host Torrid Embrox unravels the chilling story of Elizabeth Báthory, the infamous “Blood Countess.” Through atmospheric storytelling and careful historical examination, we explore her rise to power, the allegations of unspeakable cruelty committed within her walls, and the legends that transformed her into a near-mythical monster. But beyond the blood-soaked rumors lies a deeper question: was Elizabeth Báthory a sadistic serial killer, or a powerful woman destroyed by political ambition and fear? As the episode journeys from dark forests to crumbling ruins, it ultimately becomes an ethical reflection on power, silence, and how easily history blurs the line between truth and legend.

The work presented to you has been created by Torrid Embrox while the stories and music have been taken from other sources.

Music Used (Copyright free): https://youtu.be/heMkiehWN4E?si=zZYz_d4BK8KKSIKU

Contact information can be found on socials of Torrid Embrox.

Podcast "Mindful Progress: A Journey" is available on every podcast streaming service.

Link: https://mylink.page/torridembrox

Hosted on Acast.

In this episode of Mindful Progress: A Journey, the host Torrid Embrox leads listeners deep into the unsettling world of The Mandela Catalogue, where mirrors lie, voices deceive, and identity itself becomes fragile. Blending narrative storytelling with psychological and ethical analysis, Torrid explores the origins and methods of Alternates, the haunting influence of The Intruder, the corrupted biblical imagery that reshapes faith, and the tragic cases of early victims like Cesar Torres and Mark Heathcliff. As government directives crumble into fear-driven self-termination orders and society loses its ability to trust even its own reflections, the episode raises a chilling question at the heart of this analog horror phenomenon: if an enemy can perfectly imitate you, what makes your identity truly yours?

The work presented to you has been created by Torrid Embrox while the stories and music have been taken from other sources.

Music Used (Copyright free): https://youtu.be/heMkiehWN4E?si=zZYz_d4BK8KKSIKU

Mandela Catalogue: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkk6ZuwrqcsG1CFuI_kjfOVPunfuJEHwj&si=bcn2ZRryTuE1qoV6

Contact information can be found on socials of Torrid Embrox.

Podcast "Mindful Progress: A Journey" is available on every podcast streaming service.

Link: https://mylink.page/torridembrox

Hosted on Acast.

In this episode of "Mindful Progress: A Journey," we delve into the windswept deserts of the American Southwest. There are stories people don’t tell lightly—stories of figures in the dark, voices that mimic the familiar, and creatures that wear the skins of animals. These are the tales of the Skinwalker.

In this episode we explore the chilling Navajo legend of the yee naaldlooshii, the shapeshifter said to walk on all fours and wield dark magic. We delve into real-life encounters, ancient beliefs, and the cultural boundaries that make the Skinwalker one of the most feared—and least understood—figures in Native American folklore.
