Long list of jargon:

PPCLI - Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.  One of Canada's Regular Force infantry Regiments.

Op Harmony - Operation Harmony was the Canadian peacekeeping mission to the former Yugoslavia.

LFWA - Land Force Western Area.  The Army formation for all of the Canadian Provinces Manitoba and west.

1RCHA - 1st Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery.  One of Canada's Regular Force Artillery Regiments.  No, they don't have horses anymore.

"Number One" - The commander of the howitzer or gun detachment.

Ack IG - Assistant Instructor-in-Gunnery

RSM - Regimental Sergeant-Major.  The most senior non-commissioned member in a regiment or unit.

BSM - Battery Sergeant-Major.  The most senior non-commissioned member in an artillery battery or sub-unit.

Aiming Posts - before the days of advanced optics, two painted stakes would be placed equidistant from a howitzer sight and parallelism used to aim the gun.

RIP - Relief In Place. 

Roto - Rotation

ANA - Afghan National Army

Chalk - Typically a group of soldiers on a single airplane.

CUB - Commander's Update Brief

CO - Commanding Officer (of a regiment or unit)
