In this episode of The Futures Project Podcast, we’re joined by the brilliant Dr Fran Harris — sustainability advocate, researcher, and founder of 4GOOD, a social enterprise dedicated to building communities for positive change. With a background spanning planetary and public health, Fran has advised organisations, published widely, and spoken at major events about how we can live and work more sustainably in an increasingly uncertain world.

This is a conversation for anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed by the climate crisis or unsure whether their individual actions really make a difference.

Genelle Aldred is a journalist and communications expert who has worked for the likes of BBC, ITV and Sky. Her book, Communicate for Change, published in 2021, looked at how we communicate around social justice to move away from circular conversations and talk to solutions, because, after all, we all approach justice conversations with our biases, blind spots and lens of life.

She is also the host of podcast Repeat That Again Please, having conversations that help us to be happier, healthier and more connected as a society.

Today we’re talking about all things news and journalism. The modern world moves at unprecedented speed, and offers so many different sources of information that the way we consume our news has changed beyond recognition in the past decade. Is this trend likely to change? How can we be sure that we can trust what we read or hear? And what on earth will it be like to be a journalist in the future if this trend continues?

Genelle's podcast, Repeat That Again, Please is available to listen to wherever you get your podcasts.

Genelle’s most recent audiobook, The Confident Mindset: Unlocking Self-Belief, is here.

Interested in working with Genelle?
