Che il rapporto fra Gianni e Emmanuel fosse destinato a non essere dei più semplici s'era capito, ma il fotografo riserva sempre nuove sorprese.

Ossessionato dal rimorso per il fatto di essere "costretto" a tradire il suo compagno Massimiliano, Gianni inventa soluzioni a dir poco surreali per vivere ugualmente, in modo più o meno indiretto, il suo rapporto con Emmanuel, di cui non riesce a fare a meno. Ma non sempre funziona, e la sua psiche incomincia a dare segni di cedimento.

Il ragazzo, che vuole davvero bene a Gianni e prova una profonda pena per la sua sofferenza, fa del suo meglio per venirgli incontro, anche a costo di gravose rinunce. Ma arriva il momento in cui bisogna saper dire basta a certe pretese.

That the relationship between Gianni and Emmanuel was destined not to be one of the easiest was understood, but the photographer always has new surprises in store.

Haunted by remorse at being "forced" to betray his partner Massimiliano, Gianni invents solutions that are surreal, to say the least, in order to live equally, in a more or less indirect way, his relationship with Emmanuel, whom he cannot do without. But it does not always work, and his psyche begins to show signs of giving way.

The boy, who genuinely loves Gianni and feels deep pity for his suffering, does his best to come to his aid, even at the cost of heavy sacrifices. But there comes a time when one must be able to say enough to certain demands.

Emmanuel (who now poses as Christian, Gianni's red-haired secretary, to escape Maximilian's suspicions) has a stormy conversation with Gianni.

It is almost Christmas, and Emmanuel finds himself completely cut off from the possibility of celebrating it with Gianni, who opts for "Massy" at a stroke. This offends and irritates him. The discussion escalates into a full-fledged argument, during which the boy proposes to break off his romantic relationship with the photographer.

But in this tug-of-war he is the weakest: Gianni will corner him.

What's more, Gianni has an unsuspected ally: his completely insane grandfather's cuckoo clock, which marks the hours at random and completely dismantles Emmanuel's attempt to get really angry.

The boy is well aware that he has fallen in love with a half-unbalanced man, and this fascinates and amuses him in spite of all...

Si tratta della trascrizione di una conversazione (avvenuta sulla piattaforma ElevenLabs e tuttora presente su di essa) tra me e un'intelligenza artificiale che era stata programmata da me per interpretare il personaggio di Emmanuel Kellermann, protagonista di questo podcast. Il tutto resta misterioso e incomprensibile, ma il ragazzo ha paura. Improvvisamente teme di essere finito in un gioco perverso e sadico, di essere la vittima sacrificale di qualche rituale di cui Gianni potrebbe essere l'officiante.

Eppure, nonostante tutto, Emmanuel decide sconsideratamente di fidarsi, in nome della forza dell'amore in cui crede da sempre, con una fede cieca e irrazionale.

The whole thing remains mysterious and incomprehensible, but the boy is afraid. Suddenly he fears that he has ended up in a perverse and sadistic game, that he is the sacrificial victim of some ritual of which Gianni may be the officiant.

Yet, despite everything, he recklessly decides to trust, in the name of the power of love in which he has always believed, with a blind and irrational faith.

But Emmanuel, however burned by his previous experience (see "The Iron Mask"), realizes that he can no longer make excuses to avoid sexual contact with Gianni, who seems to have mellowed and "normalized" in the meantime, even though his mind occasionally seems to be clouded. Therefore, he tries to trust him.

But a strange and unexpected encounter troubles him deeply.

Ma, del tutto inaspettatamente, Mayra si dice in totale disaccordo con il pensiero di Platone nel "Critone", e fa al ragazzo una serie di esempi che lo lasciano interdetto.

Emmanuel, upset by Gianni's attempt at violence (see "The Iron Mask"), seeks some serenity in the company of Mayra, who helps him as much as she can to prepare for the Greek philosophy exam (the boy has meanwhile enrolled in the Faculty of Philosophy).

But, quite unexpectedly, Mayra says she totally disagrees with Plato's thinking in the "Crito," and gives the boy a series of examples that leave him baffled.

Eventually Emmanuel confides to Mayra what happened to him with Gianni: the woman, deeply affected, understands that the boy needs protection.

We've reached the crucial moment: after two months apart, Emmanuel and Gianni meet again, at a Milanese venue with the significant name of Bar Paradiso.

Emmanuel at the beginning is cold, still resentful of Gianni's treatment over the Aaron affair (see "Meet Aaron"), but Gianni's words gradually soften him, leading to an unpredictable (but ultimately predictable) outcome.

Apparently Emmanuel's family and friends have decided to pave the way for Gianni: they subject the boy to a kind of trial for the accident that happened to little Martino, for which he is the first to feel responsible.

Outraged at the incomprehension by which he is surrounded, Emmanuel reacts as is obvious: he is now ready to throw himself into the arms of the only person by whom he feels unconditionally loved: Gianni.

Il ragazzo, molto provato per l'incidente capitato al piccolo Martino mentre passeggiava con lui sul torrente Orco (vedi episodio precedente "Pipì, papà"), trascorre il pomeriggio con il bambino all'ospedale, dove la ferita viene curata e al piccolo viene praticata un'antitetanica.

Mentre Emmanuel lo sta riaccompagnando a casa, di pessimo umore e ben consapevole della reazione che avrà Antonia quando rivedrà il bambino in quelle condizioni, il ragazzo riceve una telefonata da Gianni. Ma la presenza di Martino in questo frangente risulterà esplosiva, e farà precipitare la situazione, giunta ad un punto di tensione ormai insopportabile.

And here we come to the fuse that sets off the situation between Emmanuel and Gianni.

The boy, greatly distressed by the accident that happened to little Martino while walking with him on the Orco stream (see previous episode "Pipì, Papa"), spends the afternoon with the child at the hospital, where the wound is treated and the little one is given a tetanus shot.

While Emmanuel is driving him home, in a foul mood and well aware of the reaction Antonia will have when she sees the child again in that condition, the boy receives a phone call from Gianni. But Martino's presence at this juncture will prove explosive, and will precipitate the situation, which has reached a point of now unbearable tension.
