There is a growing acceptance that United have not got the players to compete in these fixtures, but that doesn’t make the 4-0 defeat against Crystal Palace any better.

Casemiro is attracting more criticism with every game he plays at centre-back. It’s only getting worse but his days at Old Trafford are numbered.

The sheer thrill of Marcus Rashford’s stunning opener after 8 minutes led us to believe we were on the cusp of a magnificent victory away at City, but the Reds couldn’t keep their rivals out in the second half and we ultimately proved to be second best as many expected.

There has been more reports of dressing room unrest. This time complaints over the workload in pre-season training, with players feeling they weren’t best prepared for the season that awaits. The lads aren’t convinced by the dressing room criers.

Furthermore, we look forward to the trip to Goodison Park where Manchester United will go as the most in-form side in the Premier League. There’s reason to be optimistic even if Everton will be looking for a response after harshly having 10-points deducted by the Premier League for financial breaches.

It was another uninspiring performance from the Reds and Brian was at the game to tell us a bit more about the atmosphere, scenes at full-time and how he was lucky not to miss kick-off.

Bruno Fernandes stepped up like all good leaders do with a stoppage-time winner. A quality strike in a game that lacked real quality throughout.

As well as captain Bruno showing what he can do in front of goal, Harry Maguire was terrific at the back and Andre Onana kept his fifth clean sheet of the season.

The Argentine has previously played as a defensive midfielder, but over the past two years became a vital part of Erik ten Hag's defence, playing alongside Jurrien Timber. Wayne Rooney is Manchester United's all-time leading scorer and the only player to have scored 250 goals for the Reds.

He hung up his boots at the age of 35 and currently manages Derby County, so the lads take a look back to his time at Old Trafford after bursting onto the scene at Everton.

We decided to focus on Rooney because he will undoubtedly go down in history as one of United's - and, indeed, English football's - greatest-ever forwards.

Rooney has won everything he could have in a Manchester United shirt.

Born in the Croxteth suburb of Liverpool, he grew up supporting Everton. It was evident from an extremely early age that he would never be far from a football. He excelled for Liverpool Schoolboys - scoring a record breaking 72 goals in the 1996-97 season, a record that stood until 2010. With performances of this magnitude, he would inevitably attract much attention.

Another downbeat episode after a poor result losing 1-0 at home to Aston Villa. One again, a team wearing Claret and Blue came to Old Trafford to pull off a smash-and-grab win. This time we dropped three points - not just a place in the Carabao Cup.

Manchester United are still in the process of completing a deal to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and reports suggest they will quickly turn their attention to signing a centre-back to bolster Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's defence.

Paul Pogba's future remains up in the air but United's stance is clear. They want the Frenchman to stay and sign a new contract -- now with France out of the Euros, we should see movement on that front soon.

We also talk about Eduardo Camavinga, who has been heavily linked with a move this summer. His contract expires at Rennes next summer and United could see that as a potential bargain down the line.

In this episode I chat to Webby & O’Neill about their terrific YouTube channel, set up with the aim of bringing enthusiasm back to United fans. Both of them are supportive of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, like myself, and feel he’s the best man for the job.

Tony O’Neill tells the Strettycast that if Harry Kane leaves Tottenham this summer, the England captain will join Chelsea, not United as he’s settled and happy living in London.

On Jesse Lingard, the lads explain why the England midfielder appears to have found his level at West Ham, with O'Neill adding: "He will never get a long run in our team because teams come to Old Trafford and set up defensively. "No team sets up defensively against West Ham. That's why he's looking good because he's got more freedom to run around."

The conversation moved on to a point where we spoke about United's position from the negotiation table and having a player West Ham and other clubs will want to sign in the summer.

"The deal as far as I'm concerned has already been done," O'Neill continued. "Me and Webby spoke on our YouTube channel, before believe these conversations have gone on. We've had little chats with people, so don't be surprised if Declan Rice comes here. Trust me."

In this episode we enjoy the 3-1 win over Tottenham, José Mourinho had a meltdown and the matchday photographers had a great time at the so-called Special One’s expense.

Of course, Mourinho isn’t all that special. We learned that during his time in charge at Old Trafford. In this episode, we question Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team selection against Leicester City after United crashed out of the FA Cup.

The goals were conceded were abysmal (Dean Henderson wasn’t at fault for any of them) and questions are also asked of our defense and midfield.

There was no key influence on the pitch for United yesterday. The system failed against a tactically fluid Leicester side that were underestimated from the start. It was worth remembering ahead of kick-off that this is a team one point behind United in the league.

Paul Pogba took the headlines after coming on as a half-time substitute, only to score the match-winner minutes later.

He was superb in the middle and gave United a new lease of life. Having him back fit will be a huge bonus and our fingers are firmly crossed with hope he avoids injury or illness while away with the French squad next week.

The lads are confident about going all the way in the Europa League this season after beating AC Milan, who after United were probably the best side left in the competition before we knocked them out.

West Ham deserved to lose the game given how they approached it from the start. It was dull and exactly what you'd expect of 90 minutes of football with Moyes.

They discussed United being complacent against another side in the lower half of the Premier League table. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer dismissed claims there's an attitude problem in the dressing room, but how else can we explain such complacency. These players are better than this and not long ago they were on a winning run that saw them at the top of the league.

Solskjaer needs to get back to winning football matches again. Bruno Fernandes needs to start performing again. Marcus Rashford and needs to start scoring again. Mason Greenwood needs a run in the team.

So, another disappointing result for the Red Devils. Not good enough again.

We share our views on how the Daily Mail launched a pathetic attack on Marcus Rashford. There’s a reference to a brilliant column, written by Jonathan Liew for the Guardian, which describes the sinister attack on a young black man.

Although it's difficult to predict what sort of performance we will get from the lads this weekend, United are expected to claim three points from their home meeting with West Brom.

A lot of United's players will leave their Carrington camp for the November international break, so that means we will be taking a break from the usual post-match show for a week.

Bruno Fernandes scored twice and registered an assist for Edinson Cavani as United beat Everton 3-1.

Bernard scored Everton's only goal and it was the match's opener, but thankfully United responded the right way and came from behind to take all three points from their travels.

It's a tough time for any football fan when the media is speculating over the manager getting sacked, and it doesn't help that Mauricio Pochettino is waiting on the wings for a call from Ed Woodward.

That pressure has always existed, though. Since Solskjaer got the job on a full-time basis there has been always been talk about Pochettino. Not helped by our form, which has been up and down, but it's arguably more real now than ever.
