We've got our reaction to Matsuyama's chaotic final round, Gotterup's stunning start to the season, and ask whether the in-form American (alongside Patrick Reed) can keep his form going into Major season. Ian Fraser On The Future Of Golf Club Fitting, His Favourite Golf Clubs Of All Time & Whether Technology Alone Can Fit Golfers

Folks, we got him! It's the interview you've been asking for, and the interview Joe has been itching to do ever since we started this podcast: Ian Fraser. Ian, who you'll likely know from his time on the TXG YouTube channel and more recently the Fraser Golf Institute. Quite simply, he's one of the best minds in the world of golf when it comes to equipment and golf club fitting. We met up with Ian at the PGA Show in Florida a few weeks ago for a wide-ranging chat about equipment and, most eye-openeingly, about the future of fitting for all of us. He also ponders what golf clubs he would play if we gave him one more round of golf, his favourite golf components of all time and whether humans could be taken out of golf club fitting for good. There's much, much more to dive into as he and Joe chew the fat on our favourite subject: equipment.

Happy Friday, folks, and happy Thanksgiving weekend to our American friends. Another jam-packed episode this week, one that gets very techy in places, so strap in. Firstly, Joe has a Big Question. Why are club fittings all working in such small parameters? Lie angles never go more than two degrees upright or flat, swing weights are rarely altered outside of standard, grips are normally standard size - why don't we think bigger when it comes to fittings?

Speaking of swing weight, Joe's got a new digital swing weight machine to show off, and we do a little live experiment showing how adding a taking away a little weight at either end of the club can drastically affect the swing weight reading. He's also got some tidbits on driver shaft testing, and how reducing the shaft length in your driver could be a solution that most amateur golfers aren't utilising to improve their game off the tee. Finally, we've sent our roving reporter, Sam De'Ath, back out to the Philippines for another What's In The Bag special, this time with Peter Uilhein.

Happy Friday, folks. I hope you're enjoying The Open! We've got a very, very special episode lined up for you this week, the first of three from our trip to the USA in late June. Our first stop was with our friends at Titleist, which was recorded from a state-of-the-art podcast studio at the Titleist Performance Institute in Carlsbad, California.

We had a jam-packed day at Titleist's US HQ, so expect to hear about our time behind the scenes at the Titleist factory and everything we saw behind the scenes at the stunning Titleist Performance Institute. We were both lucky enough to experience a full fitting for the new T-Series irons, too. While our full review of the 2025 T Series irons will come once we've had a chance to test them all thoroughly, we had the chance to hit all the new irons out on the fitting facility. While we will linger more on the new T100 we were both fitted into, you'll hear our first impressions of every iron in the sizeable new range.

We're also excited to welcome Marni Ines, Director of Iron Development, onto the show to answer some of our questions about the new T-Series as well as some wider questions about how iron design takes place at Titleist. There's also an Ask The Pod as well as a trip down memory lane as Joe recounts some of his favourite Titleist clubs of all time.

Jimmy has never hidden the fact that he's a huge equipment geek, so we were very excited to have him on the show. Sat in the gardens of the Manor House is Castle Coombe, Joe and Jimmy cover everything from tapering on grips, swing weight vs total weight, Jimmy's club building cave and their theories behind why the Qi10 fairway wood has been so popular.

Yes, we filmed this many weeks before the Masters, so we are clueless to Rory's triumph, hence the complete lack of reference to one of the biggest moments in our sport's history!

Elsewhere, Joe's been playing around with his putter (again) and has changed the shaft in his trusty blade for the first time. We're on the road this week, bringing you a special episode from inside the Precision Golf Fitting Centre in Surrey. Joe has mentioned the studio several times in previous episodes (he used to work at Precision Golf too!) so we thought it was time we took a deep dive into what an independent fitting centre is and why Precision Golf is so revered in the fitting industry. We'll chat about how the studio works, what advantages you might get from being fitted at an independent studio, and just what makes them so different from any other fitting centres.

We're also joined by Precision Golf owner Simon Cooper who takes charge of this week's explainer, looking at shaft frequency and shaft analysers. There's also time for an Ask The Pod and this week we're asked how to go about building the perfect half-set and if it's possible to be fit for just half a set of clubs. Brace yourselves for the biggest (and best?) episode of Kick Point to date. It's a bumper episode, so settle in for the ride. Building on last week's head-to-head versus old and new driver generations, we've put three different brands head-to-head in the ultra-competitive compact distance iron category. It's an epic three-way pitting the TaylorMade P770, Callaway Apex Pro and Mizuno Pro 245 against each other. Joe has tested all of them and gives his verdict on each iron across multiple categories and Dan comes up with a new scoring system that we'll politely call 'ad-hoc' for now.

This week's Ask The Pod is likely the most philosophical question we've received as a listener enquires whether he should buy a set of blades despite his 18 handicap ability - what do we buy golf clubs for if not to enjoy them? Then, YouTuber James Robinson joins us for a What's In The Bag special. As a content creator who reviews pretty much every club there is to be reviewed, what does a man with the ultimate choice decide put into his bag? We all likely know what loft is and what lie angle is, but Joe divea into what they effect when it comes to hitting the ball and why both are such important aspects of club fittings to get right.

TaylorMade P Series Irons, Bubba's In The Bag Special & Grips Explained

With the well-loved P770 receiving a face lift and the all-new P7CB being introduced a few weeks ago, Joe gives his full verdict on how well TaylorMade has refined and improved on its flagship iron series.

This week's explainer is something of a back to basics on grips. It's the only part of the golf club golfers actually touch, so it's an important facet of the game to get right. Joe dives into different grip types, tapers, compounds, grip tape and, of course, finds a way to shoe horn in Scottie Scheffler's famous grip trainer.

Finally, the lads are very excited to welcome two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson onto the podcast. The colorful left hander is known to have one of the most unique set ups in the game - specifically when it comes to his grips - and Joe spent some time with Bubba at the LIV UK event in July to ask him just how his bag of equipment came to be. Grading Every Equipment Brand's Year (So Far) & Henrik Stenson WITB Special

This week Dan and Joe are 'Live From LIV' with a bit of a different, but nonetheless jam-packed, episode of Kick Point. The lads were on site at JCB Golf & Country Club for the LIV UK event back in July and have lined up six WITB specials with some of the game's biggest names. This week, they're joined by Henrik Stenson who talks through his eclectic and somewhat aging bag of equipment. Yes, that iconic 3-wood is still in the bag but there's also some new nuggets and equipment tweaks the Ice Man is still making.

Before they chat to Henrik, Joe wanted to sit back and take stock of the year in equipment so far. Seeing as it was the summer holidays when they recorded this, Dan and Joe spend some time grading each of the major equipment manufacturers year so far. Who goes home to happy parents with their A grade and who has plenty to work on going into next year?
