We begin with our month-long “Spook-tacular” series. We kick off our series with the underrated, cult classic, 1985 film, Silver Bullet. Based on a Stephen king novel starring Gary Busey and Corey Haim.

A movie so rarely available that I wasn’t sure if I actually saw this movie or was it a fever dream.

A movie that attempted to have a conversation about standing up to crime, but it was a singular conversation with itself.

This concludes our first season. October will begin our second season. Our Halloween slate of films will begin on October 8 and we have some fun stuff set for it.

One of the biggest hits during the 70’s was The Towering Inferno. It had several high profiled stars and a lot of new and older stars. Not only is it scored by John Williams, but the effects of the time do stand the test of time.

Note: We will be taking a week or two off. After moving the blog to our back-up free account, starting the Patreon and YouTube channel, I sort of fell behind for this podcast. I want to get a little ahead to keep the shows going. Thanks for understanding.

We start our new direction with touching on the seminal film that launched the “rogue genre” that has been a staple in pop culture for over fifty years. Not only did he become a major Hollywood player but it launched a genre that is still used today.

Dirty Harry has many political tones about liberal policies. However, if you can skip past them, it is actually a really good movies.

Suffering from oversaturation of Jobs documentaries, books, and other media, this movie takes a look at the man and not his accomplishments. Much of which angered the Jobs cult into trashing this movie.

Starting next week, the podcast will pivot to covering movies from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. Dive into their cultural significance and their impact on, or because of, pop culture.
