Episode 4 - Zoe Cohen

Zoe Cohen is best known for her involvement in some of the era defining protest movements of our times. She has been arrested multiple times under the banners of Extinction Rebellion, Insulate Britain, Just Stop Oil and Defend Our Juries. She has been a spokesperson for all four movements. Zoe is also an executive coach, an outspoken anti-Zionist Jew, a mum, a citizen and an award-winning communicator.

In this fourth episode of the JUKEBOX podcast, Zoe and host, Morgan Phillips, discuss Zoe’s thoughts and perspectives on what the climate and environmental movement is and does, how the media interprets and presents the action that is happening, and the ups and downs of life on a planet that isn’t being well served by those in power. This interview was recorded in October 2026 shortly after the Green Party of England and Wales autumn conference and one day after the Holborn and St Pancras parliamentary by-election, which saw Green Party leader Zack Polanski finish second. The interview starts with Zoe’s reflection on that conference and the treatment Zack Polanski received from the media - as well as from within the Green Party - as the reactions from the ‘Zionism is Racism’ motion being passed rippled out.

The Miracle Inn

JUKEBOX is a podcast by The Miracle Inn, hosted by Dr Morgan Phillips.

Episode 1: Michael Maniates (July 2026)

For the last four decades we have been urged, as individuals, to 'live green', to be a 'green consumer'. The theory of change we have been sold is this: if enough individuals adopt green lifestyles the planet will be 'saved'. It is a story told to us by brands, politicians, NGOs, and celebrities. Many of us will have told this story ourselves too, to friends, colleagues, family members and, if environmentalism is our profession, our audiences. But what if it isn't true? What if the focus on individual acts of environmental stewardship is a distraction from what really needs to happen.
