Today's episode on The Tiny Tales Podcast is a recap of Podcast Royal 3.0 with the one and only Trey the mad chef from team Yabby Pump. So strap in for this one, legends, because it was a bloody ride, that's for sure! we left home Thursday and got to the goldy about 3pm checked and set off for what was a fun evening met up with a heap of good legends who by the end of the weekend would be in our days for longer then the sun was up and not one complaint about bad humour and fast combacks that's the way we like it We kick things off with the trip up from Mudgee in the one and only Sir Lazarus, the Team Yabby Pump noble steed. What day did the boys roll in? Were all the legends there at the same time? And how was the accommodation? And then, of course, we have to talk about the noise complaint The shirts, mate… they were definitely loud and bloody proud! Saturday morning came around and, to be honest, we were all a little bit rusty. But we were only there for one weekend and it was always going to be a big one. How did the boys pull up? I mean, we went on a bloody kayak adventure down the canal behind your house — which was absolutely magical… except my life jacket wouldn't fucking fit! Then we bought our fighter — the one and only Johnny from Mudgee with the swollen budgie — in a proper Calcutta-style auction. And then came the main event. The fight card was exceptional. Heaps of talent, plenty of entertainment and an absolutely unreal atmosphere. The whole event was bloody incredible. I lost my voice at the after-party at about midnight, I reckon we pulled up around 2:30am and eventually made it to bed for a quick kebab and some butter mentols Then Sunday rolled around and it was time for the recovery session. Once we could finally pull ourselves together and make it back over there, it was another unreal day. It was bloody good seeing all the legends relaxed, having a few beers together after doing the dance the night before — and thankfully, not too many serious injuries! Then a few of us headed over to the Broady Tav, where we decided to shave David's head after nine years of growing his mullet. And where better to do it than on the bonnet of Sir Lazarus, all for charity! Get yourself checked. Massive shoutout to Amanda for supplying the clippers and getting the job done, and to you, mate, for going out of your way to get the pump there. I reckon all up this absolute legend raised somewhere around $1,800–$2,000 by doing it, so it was all for a bloody great cause. But we weren't done yet. We stayed on for another big one after a few of our close mates showed up for a family holiday — and they were ready to absolutely turn it on. By this stage we were about four days deep, but somehow we pushed through until around 1:30am. I finished up with Sammy and Mad Dog and left them at the tables to try and take the casino down before they headed off. Then came the packing up. Bloody rough decision, but we got it done. We met up with 2M, Peter, Sammy and Wayne for breakfast before we finally departed and started the trip home. Massive shoutout to Elise for driving us down and back. And fuck, I reckon I put in a pretty solid effort on the way home — drank about 20 beers and didn't stop for a piss once! Made it home safe and sound, only to get a few more into me before finally shutting it down for the weekend. A massive thank you to everyone who made Podcast Royal 3.0 what it was. The laughs, the beers, the fights, the bloody chaos and all the legends we got to catch up with made it one hell of a weekend. Can't bloody wait to do it all again! Strap in, crack a tin, and enjoy the yarn, legends.

Hosted on Acast.
