His training philosophy centers around building a strong foundation of movement quality, and then layering strength and conditioning on top of that. He believes in empowering his clients to take responsibility for their results through mindful practice, education, and a collaborative approach.</p><br><p>Prior to becoming a fitness professional, Jason worked in investment management, where he specialized in leveraged credit, analyzing companies ranging from start-ups seeking growth capital, to investment grade credit, as well as distressed credit and special situations.&nbsp;</p><br><p>Jason is also a lifelong athlete. He was an All-State midfielder in lacrosse and went on to play Division 1. Following that, he was a successful strength athlete in Powerlifting, where he made multiple "Elite" totals, including best lifts of 545lbs squat, 355lbs bench press, and 660lbs deadlift in the 198lbs weight class. Jason was the 17th person to ever complete the prestigious kettlebell challenge known as “The Beast Tamer Challenge”—which requires one to overhead press, one-legged squat, and perform a pull-up with the 48kg (106lb) kettlebell. Luke has a strong belief that education is fundamental in optimizing patient recovery and performance. He teaches advanced skills courses in Manual Therapy as well pain science education in the US as well as internationally.</p><br><p>As an avid athlete, Luke is at the cutting-edge of helping fellow athletes return to their sport after injury. He has extensive experience in the management of acute and chronic sports injuries and has completed marathons and been part of the medical team for marathons and triathlons around the country. Luke is also affiliated with professional football and triathlon teams. He treats professional and Olympic athletes as well as touring performing arts/dance company members. He currently serves as a consultant with the NBA Players Association as well as European soccer professional teams.</p><br><p>Since graduating with honors from the University of Melbourne, Luke has attained the Mastery Certification in Manual Therapy. Luke also has training in McKenzie Method mechanical diagnosis and therapy, McConnell knee and shoulder treatment and advanced taping techniques. Luke is the co-founder of NY Sports Medicine which was later acquired by Orthology. She earned her M.S. in Clinical Nutrition from New York University in 2008 and completed her Dietetic Internship at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. She currently teaches Nutrition Diet and Health at the Swedish Institute in their Advanced Personal Training Associate's degree program.</p><br><p>Currie began lifting weights in high school. While competing as a short sprinter for her collegiate track and field team is where she learned to power lift. Post-college she competed in numerous endurance events and has completed more than 10 triathlons, two marathons, and one century ride. In the past few years Currie has shifted her sights from endurance training to body building. She has returned to her roots as an avid weight lifter and is participating in local figure competitions on stage. Steve is an incredible physiotherapist, a great human being, and dropped a hell of lotta knowledge on us for over 90 mins!</p><p>.</p><p>Steve Horney graduated from Quinnipiac University's top-ranked accelerated Masters program and began his clinical practice in 2005. Steve is an incredible physiotherapist, a great human being, and dropped a hell of lotta knowledge on us for over 90 mins!</p><p>.</p><p>Steve Horney graduated from Quinnipiac University's top-ranked accelerated Masters program and began his clinical practice in 2005.
