We follow a special ops team, led by CIA Agent Benjamin Keynes. The party is searching for a mysterious object high in the mountains of southern Afghanistan. As the team makes their way through dangerous territory, they start witnessing some very strange events and what they discover is something they were never meant to find!

The movie deals with some interesting concepts, which play off the regions ancient history and we'll be covering those concepts as we break down The Objective.

The Demon of Burry Hill

On this episode of Almost Canon we revisit the flying humanoid from episode 109 "The Devil's Bridge. Christian returns to the show to go over the history of this mysterious area on the border of Virginia and North Carolina. He starts at the beginning, long before the bridge existed and works his way through a history that is soaked in blood. It is no wonder that specific area, an area that has seen so many bodies laid to rest it gained the monicker "Burry Hill". So it's no wonder has such a highly concentrated amount of paranormal happening go on there. Real to Reel: Crocodile

On this episode of Real to Reel Nick dives into giant crocodile lore by first going over a beast named Lolong, a 20 foot 3 inch long croc that was caught in 2012 and remains to this day the largest croc ever officially recorded. but it seems they get bigger than that! Nick goes over several giant creoc legends such as Gustave and the monstrous 40+ foot Mahambas from the Congo River Basin.

Then after after the cryptid lore has been shared Nick dig into the feature film, a classic creature feature from 2000 called Crocodile. orignially meant to capitalize on the success of Lake Placid, Crocodile has gained its own cult following despite not originally airing on the Sci-Fi Channel. Nonetheless, its an exciting movie that brings one back to the good ole days of the early 2000's while also serving up some great kills on the side.

Fae Folk of the Far North

Do fae folk exist outside of Ireland? i know we here at Almost Canon believe they do! So this week were venturing deep into the arctic circle and investigating the stories of the 'Little People', specifically the Arctic Pygmies. We then follow the trail out of the snow and ice and into the mountains where stories of these fae-like beings are still told. We look at whether the vikings battled these pygmies when they landed on the eastern shores 1000 years ago; we look at stories told by high arctic explorers as well as stories told by prospectors and adventures within the Brooks and Mackenzie mountains. We also connect some dots and uncover something at the end that opens the door to way more questions!

Recast: The Tuatha Dé Danann

As my notes ran long as the original episode I was going to drop today I figured id fill the slot with a recast of the Tuatha De Danann part 1 episode I did way back when, so that way we can at least prepare for Saint Patricks Day while we wait for the original episode to drop.

The Tuatha De are a great topic to get into when talk about the Watchers or Nephilim due to the fact that these mythical beings from Irish folklore were originally know as the People of God before their name was changed to The People of the Goddess Danu and for the fact that seem to be able to pass between portals and originated from what would essentially be another dimension!

The Ariel School UFO Incident

On the morning of September 16th, 1994, 62 children, while playing out at recess, witnessed a mysterious object fall from the sky and land in the field near their playground. What happened from there is something straight out of a Spielberg or Cameron film. Four entities exited the craft and began psychically communicating with the students, showing these 10 years olds, all sorts of images of a dying world. The encounter was heavily investigated and is widely considered to be one of the best documented UFO encounters.

Hunted By A Dogman While Bow Hunting

This week we talk with W. Boyd, who came face to face with a dogman one morning, while bow hunting with his father. The two had started their trip by parking in a lot near a piece of property they owned and began walking into the woods. It wasn't long until Boyd began hearing something something them. It would walk when they walked and stopped when they stopped. He pointed this out to his father, who couldn't hear that good, but they continued on to their hunt. But it didn't take long for Boyd to figure out what was following them because it was already at his hunting spot, seemingly waiting there for him!

A History of the Yeti

Bigfoot in the Green Mountain State

Our first case takes place in Washington State and involves a climber who seemingly disappeared from the end of a climbing rope, almost as though he unclipped and stepped out into the sky.

The second case involves a climber in California who vanished in broad daylight from the middle of an empty snow field on one of America's most mysterious Mountains.

This is an incredible Sasquatch encounter that takes place at a hunting camp! So this year, while your at camp or sitting in your stand and you hear a branch snap or something, quietly, walking through the leaves below you, just tell yourself that its probably nothing......

An American Werewolf in London, Ohio

This week we look at suspected werewolf encounter that comes out of London, Ohio between 1981 and 1982. It focuses around the Williams family and a new house they moved into that was just out of town. now, not long after moving in Dianne Williams, begins to feel as though she's being watched and it doesn't take long for her suspicions to be realized. Her Husband Keith, doesn't believe her at first but he also end up having his own encounter which leads him on a wild chase through the woods to a mysterious cabin in the forest.

This isn't a dogman encounter. Certain things happen in this story that make it very clear Keith and his family weren't dealing with a dogman but with an individual who had the ability to transform into some sort of werewolf-like entity, This is one of the best 'werewolf' stories I've heard and its hands down one of my favorites.

Mysteries of the Superstition Mountains with Wayne Tuttle

The Wild West is not only a time period in American history that I personally find fascinating but it’s also a region of the world ha that calls to me. There’s just something about the craggy mountains; remote canyons; dry, desert, landscape and lmysterious history that truly pulls me in. And I’m not the only one, which is why countless TV shows, movies and radio plays were set in the wild west. And it’s this romanticize idea of the west, mainly the real life lore and legends coming out of the south west that really grabbed my attention.

Now I live in the North East. It’s one of the oldest parts of the country when ones speaking about European settlement; you have the original Mayflower Pilgrims at Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1620 and even the Vikings who found their way to North America around 1000 ad but the great legends and myths of the North East have all been solved, for the most part.

But with the west it’s equally as old if not older and being a new englander, I tend to forget that the English weren’t the only explorers to wonder the uncharted regions of the New World as the Spanish had already nearly conquered it!

So yeah, while civilization may have tamed the west in the early 1900’s her spirit has certainly never died as some of the US’s greatest myths and legends are still investigated today, keeping her wild.

We’re talking Legends like Butch Cassidy and the Sun Dance kid and whether they survived their encounter with the law in Bolivia.

Jessie James and the Younger Gang and the and their buried loot. Plus if we’re gunna talk about Jessie James we gotta talk about the Knights of the Golden Circle and where the missing Confederate Gold is.

Then there’s the wilder legends like Kincaid’s Cave in the Grand Canyon; Doc Martin and the Victorio peak treasure; The Aurora Texas UFO crash; the one about the civil war general in the steampunk wheelchair who drives a giant metal spider; and of course the Lost Dutchman Mine, which we’ll be talking about tonight.

In fact, we’ll be talking with Wayne Tuttle, life long Dutch hunter and team leader of the 2015 history channel show ‘Legend of the Superstition Mountains’.

Wayne has been exploring the superstition mountains since he was a small boy and has become one of the few go to men for all who want to join the hunt. He possesses decades upon decades worth of Dutchman knowledge and while he’s a strict skeptic, he’s experienced several unexplainable events; one of which is one of the best I’ve heard from a skeptical treasure hunting old timer….

The Curse of Dudleytown ,

The world is full of cursed places. Places that have seen some sort of horrific event, which in turn has caused the ground to go sour, as Jud Crandall would say. Places like Roanoke Island, off the coast of north Carolina or the Hoya Bacu Forest in Transylvania.

Then there are places where the ground has just always been sour, like Glastenbury Mountain here in Vermont or the suicide forest in the shadow of Mount Fuji.

And then there are places where someone has physically cursed the land, like The Saco River in Maine, or Dudleytown, even if it was unknowingly….

This specific location has a little bit of everything going on: ancient curses; strange monsters; paranormal activities and even a ghost town.

So on the outside it sounds very similar to South Glastenbury, but it’s not. It is however located in New England and it does have a reputation for being extremely haunted. So stick around and let’s see why Connecticut’s Dudleytown is so haunted…..

Cryptids from Native American Folklore

History is full of mysterious and supernatural events. The sinking of Atlantis; the building of the sphinx and great pyramids; the arrival of the Tuatha De; the resurrection of Jesus Christ; …… I mean there are just so many different events and people we could spend all year listing them all.

But when it comes to history and the supernatural, there’s nothing better than digging through mythology and folklore. Because when it comes to myths and legends, we here at Almost Canon have always believed there’s some sort of truth behind the story and when it comes to a good story, it doesn’t get much better better than those told by the Native Americans.

So what we’re gunna do this week is take a closer look at some of the creatures seen in those Native American stories.

This was meant to be the November bonus episode, and yes, I’m still running late on that damn bonus episode, but it was just too important not to share with the wider world.

Some of these creatures have already taken on a life of their own, like the wendigo and skinwalkers while others are clearly early interpretations of cryptids and supernatural beings like Sasquatch, Dogman and giants.

Ghosts of Donner Pass

The story of the Donner Party is one of perseverance; survival; and hope. It really is the 19th century equivalent to the original Thanksgiving story. It even includes a feast…..and while there’s no actual Thanksgiving tradition, the themes are all there.

So in honor of this historic event, we’re taking another look at the Donner Party and specifically the land where their ordeal took place. Because it should surprise no one that paranormal activities are reported to happen at and around the Donner Lake area.

We’ve got a couple short stories as well as two longer ones. The first dealing with something strange happening at a truck stop while the second story involves a camper and his dog finding something very unnerving while camping near Donner lake.

The Beast of the Land Between the Lakes

So what is the story behind the beast of the land between the lakes, otherwise known as the beast of the LBL?

So this week we dive into the Land Between the Lakes and the beast that's said to roam its wilds. Now, you might think you know the whole story but there's more, way more! We've dug through subreddits and corroborating accounts to try and paint a better picture of what happened not only on that fateful day in 1982 but for what's been happening since before the LBL was even settled by European pioneers.

I for one thought I knew the story and had no idea there was so much more! We start by going over the entire LBL story and how it's been received by the cryptid community and then we dive into the history of the LBL and the LBR. Then after all that we dig into the good stuff! We go over several encounters from the LBL, one of which we were able to find three different views, giving the listeners interested in this story a great look into what may have happened back in 1982.

The Real Life Horror Stories Behind Our Favorite Horror Movies

While we’re not too fond of winter, spooky season is maybe our favorite time of year here at Almost Canon. Now my favorite part aren’t all the delicious smells; beautiful colors or the fact that we finally get to wear flannels and sweatshirts. No, my favorite part of the Halloween season are the movies!

Like, ya, sure, you can watch horror movies any time of year but there’s somthing special about watching scary movies on or before Halloween. In fact, most horror movies take place in the summer, not the fall. There are very few scary movies that take place around Halloween. But that doesn’t matter, I literally fill September and October with horror movies. Nothing but horror movies.

So what I wanted to do tonight was take a few of my favorites and go over the real life mysteries and true crime cases that inspired some of our favorite horror movies.

So I’ve taken a nightmare on elm street; Scream and the Shining.

The creators and writers of All three of these movies were inspired by something weird or horrific that’s happened in the real world.

But before we dive into the main topic, Nick has taken an old encounter we received on the show and turned it into story format. We’ll hear from Stephen who was bow hunting in Wyoming when he found had to seek shelter in an abandoned house during a rain storm. However, whoever or whatever resided within the home certainly didn’t want him there. While the small details have been created to add a sense of reality to the world, the events and how they happened haven’t been changed. But it’s a good one, just in time for Halloween!

After Stephen’s story Nick recounts the true events that inspired ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street; Scream; and The Shining.

These real life stories are incredibly strange as well as incredibly brutal. *WARNING* for all those going into the real life true crime case behind Scream, it is a horrific story.

It’s estimated that 99.9% of all species that have ever existed on earth are now extinct. Whether through mass extinction events, evolution or the hands of man, millions if not billions of mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, dinosaurs, what-have you, have died out.

We all know this, it’s the circle of life after all. From the time we’re old enough to pick up a book about dinosaurs we learn about the chics-sue-lub asteroid that struck the earth about 66 million years ago, putting an abrupt end to the dinosaurs.

But dinosaurs certainly aren’t the only animal to die off, in fact before the extinction of the dinosaurs, 65 million years ago, there were 4 other mass extinction events and the latest one, the extinction of the megafauna occurred around 50k years ago.

Now where this discussion get real interesting is when we hear stories of people coming across animals that were suppose to be extinct or when we hear stories of cryptids that sound very similar to animals that once existed.

Personally I believe a good chunk of the cryptids out there today are exaggerations of animals that we thought died out long ago but are actually still alive and well, hidden away in areas if their habitat that are rarely visited.

An example of this would be the orang pendek, a small, Sasquatch-like being said to roam the forested island of Indonesia, exactly where homo floresiensis once walked, a small human-like being nicknamed ‘the hobbit’.

So tonight we’re gunna talk about some of these supposedly extinct animals that could be behind cryptid creatures. And to help us with this task we’re going to be talking with BJ, who heads the Extinct or Extant Facebook page.

Exploring The Bridgewater Triangle With Exploring With Phill

Fairies and fae-folk aren’t just magical entities from European folklore. While their stories have become one with Americans due to our mixing pot of different cultures, very similar creatures can be found in a wide variety of Native American and First Nations folklore. So if these beings can be found in not only Europe but also America could they be real? Much like every culture around the world has a ‘Sasquatch’ every culture around the world has a fairy, elf, gnome, troll, giant, even entities like the Tuatha Dè Danann and the Anunnaki can be found throughout the world.

So this week we take a deeper look at some indigenous American folklore and locations and ask the question: ‘could these be fae?’

The Fae House of Charlestown

For this Fourth of July we'll be talking with someone who has been experiencing something strange in their colonial era house!

Most people don’t bother to look into the histoey of their home let alone the city or town where they live. But for our guest tonight, history plays a huge roll in what might be going on in her home.

Now most homes we see today are fairly modern, built within the last fifty or sixty years. Not all of them of course, my house was built in the 1890’s, making it nearly 140 years old. Now not many of us can say our house is over 150 years old, as they’ve either gone up in some fire, fallen in due to disrepair or neglect or been ripped down and replaced with something newer. However, tonight‘s guest can. In fact, our guest’s house, was built before the founding fathers ratified the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

Not only is her house one of the oldest in the immediate area, the area they call home, Charlestown, New Hampshire was the northernmost township for a while, known as plantation number.

I say that to say the house that tonight’s story revolves around, and essentially the ground it’s built upon, has stood for almost as long as European settlers have existed in the area, seeing all there is to see over the course of 264 long years.

The funny thing is, the home has literally stood the test of time. Seeing dozens of families pass through its doors and not only all the happiness those families brought with them but the sadness as well. I have no doubt that countless birth day parties, thanksgivings and christmases were held within its walls. And as you’ll find out soon, we know there was atleast one confirmed death.

But for the amount of human energy stored within a house nearly three centuries old, it might just be the land it’s built on that holds the real mysteries…..

The Real Life Lore Behind Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

This week We take a closer look at my all time favorite Play Station franchise Uncharted. We start by taking a deeper look at game 1 Drake's Fortune.

This game not only pushed the limits on what the newly released play station 3 could do but on what a newly released video game could do. Uncharted drake’s fortune was nothing short of a technical masterpiece that paved the way for countless other games. It also utilized motion capture unlike anything that came before resulting in a cinematic experience that was unlike anything seen before.

Now we aren’t a video game show. We’re not here to talk about how advanced Unchsrtes was for its time; plus I certainly wouldn’t be gushing over it if it wasn’t for the story line. And it’s because of that story line that we’re talking about it tonight. Uncharted Drake’s Fortune isn’t just an action adventure, story driven game, it’s an Indiana Jones fan’s wet dream! This game involves everything from lost gold to lost cities to nazis and even supernatural monsters.

So tonight we’re going to take a deeper look at the real life lore behind the story of Unchsrted Drake’s Fortune.

1realize this episode is slightly different than what we usually cover, but ever since I started Almost Canon I’ve wanted to find a way to share my love for this specific video game franchise. There aren’t too many games out there that can combine action/ adventure with history and treasure hunting, all while delivering a coherent and compelling fun story. Uncharted delivered this with all five games. I’ve been religiously playing uncharted since 2012 and even though it’s nearly 20 years old and the newest game is almost 10, my hope is to introduce it to another fan of video games and the the paranormal

Remastered: Vikings In America

As part of our unofficial strange stone structures in New England series, I've decided ti reedit and remaster one of my favorite episodes, episode 9, Vikings in America.

Officially, we know vikings landed in Newfoundland around 1000 AD but the history books say they didn't stay long and this has never sat well with me. We know vikings were great explorers, always looking to the horizon for something new. so I find it hard to believe they found a vast new world and choose to only stay a few years and there seems to be countless pieces of evidence supporting the fact that L'Anse aux Meadows was only the first stop in this new world.

Genesis 6 Conspiracy and the Fae with Gary Wayne

The holy Bible, one of, if not the most published pieces of literature the world has ever seen. This collection of stories, Part spiritual guide part history book, is said to have been inspired by God and has influenced the wider world for thousands of years.

The 66 different books that make up the Bible cover everything from the creation of the world to Adam and Eve’s banishment from Eden; to Noah’s ark and the flood; as well as the stories behind the Tower of Babel and the walls of Jericho, which come crashing down. It tells us of the birth of Jesus as well as his crucifixion and resurrection plus so much in between.

Now tonight’s guest is a man whose all but mastered not only biblical history but secular history as well and combines them flawlessly to create what could quite possibly be the most complete historical timeline ever put to paper, atleast when it comes to a world viewed through a biblical lens.

In his books the Genesis 6 Conspiracy: How Secret Societies and the Descendants of Giants Plan to Enslave Humankind, parts 1 and 2, Gary Wayne, digs deep into the biblical record and unearths the forgotten bloodlines of the Nephilim, a race of beings described in Genesis 6.

Gary Wayne then traces these bloodlines through out history, following them as they intersect with the rich and powerful houses of Europe and beyond. Families like; the Habsburg’s, the Bourbon’s, The Romanovs, the Windsor’s and so many more.

The First time I heard Gary Wayne talking about the Genesis 6 Conspiracy he gave a general overview of the book and listed off all these mysterious entities that I’ve heard mentioned over the years. Entities like the Nephilim, the Raphi-em, giants, Djinn the fae and several other I can’t think of right now.

And while he shares a pretty in depth look at these beings, going as far as mentioning the different species and class of these anti-diluvian children of fallen angles; Gary Wayne even states which clan they belong to and the corresponding royal family they would eventually marry into.

And as he goes into all this, I know I always find myself wanting to know more about the fae and the roll these interdimensional beings play in the genesis 6 conspiracy timeline.

So This week we talk with Gary Wayne, author of the incredible book The Genesis 6 Conspiracy: How Secret Societies and the Descendants of Giants in Genesis 6 Plan to Enslave Mankind. He finally found time in his busy schedule to jump on and talk about a host of topics involving the giants and Nephilim of Genesis but also on how the Fae play a roll in the wide spread conspiracy.

Not being particularly religious myself but coming closer to God over the course of doing this show, I was able to ask Gary a few questions I've been wondering for a while and the answers I got, particularly one response, blew my mind (which doesn't happen often).

Operation Mindfuck; Chameleo; and Esotericism in Hollywood with Robert Guffey

I became aware of Robert Guffey’s work several years ago, 2016-2017, after he published a book called “Chameleo: a strange but true story of invisible spies, heroin addicts and homeland security”. This is a story that I believe doesn’t get the attention it deserves and is the reason I wanted to have Robert on in the first place. This story has its roots in ancient magic but focuses on not only alphabet agentcies and high tech invisibility suits but other experimental technologies that are more akin to men in black or the l glimmerman.

Was Jody Hildebrandt Possessed?

On August 30th 2023 Russel Ruby escaped from captivity and went to find help. We would quickly find out that Russel"s mother Ruby Franke had been working with a friend, Jody Hildebrandt, to rid both Russel and his sister Evie of Demonic possession or so they believed. What police would discovered was nothing short of monstrous.

As of February 2024 Ruby and Jody are now serving four 1-15 year terms behind bars. Also, released after the sentencing Ruby and Jody, were some documents and recordings, one of which was an interview held between investigators and Ruby's husband Kevin. And in this recoding Kevin mentions several interesting things, one of which is how Jody believed she was possessed and that he even witnessed some of these paranormal happenings himself.

So this week we take a closer look at these allegations; go over Kevin's interview and some of the statements he made; take a closer look at some of the actions made by Ruby, but especially by Jody.

Now none of this is for certain. We are simply investigating the statements made by Kevin. But Kevin clearly believes he saw something and the behavior exhibited by Jody over the last year suggests he could be right.

Weekly Update from the Childrens Hospital

The Lost City of Shambhala

Somewhere deep within the Himalayan mountain range is a world lost to time. It’s often described as heaven on earth, a paradise locked between the cold, rocky peaks and frozen jagged ice sheets of this towering mountain range.

Now this paradise is entirely different than its cold frozen surroundings. There are hot springs and warm flowing waters; green rich jungles and colorful flowering plants throughout a hidden, lost valley. Within this valley time is said to slow down and those who live there live for ever. But stories like this are seen throughout the world. History is chock full of lost and mythical civilizations. Whether they’re entire continents like Atlantis or Lemuria or simple, yet extravagant cities like El Dorado or Iram of the Pillars, these mysterious locations hold a certain wonder and intrigue that hard to ignore.

The Japanese Oni; Kappa; and Satori

On this episode we start by detailing two encounters we recently received from listeners. One about a UFO encounter in the 1970's that caused not only the listeners car to stall on the main road but the three cars behind him to stop as well and the second story is about a family that moves into a house where something horrible has once happened and they were having to deal with the repercussions of that act.

Then Nick moved onto the topic which in honor of FX's Shogun and the release of Rise of the Ronin, is Japanese folklore. Nick dives into three different beings: the Oni, the Kappa and the Japanese Bigfoot, the Satori. Now as Nick was doing his research for this topic he picked up on several key pieces of lore that could connect the Oni, the Japanese demon, to the biblical Nephilim and even the Celtic Tuatha De. this is a shorter than normal episode but it might be more impactful than most, specially if looking for answers is something that interests you.

High Strangeness in the Green Mountain State

This week we stay close to home, almost literally in my back yard, and listen to three incredible encounters from right here in the Green Mountain State.

Our first story involves a young woman and her friends who experienced something very strange while on the outskirts of Springfield Vermont one night in 1997. You can make up your own mind, but her story has all the hallmarks of an alien abduction. mysterious lights and sensations; missing time; no memory of what happened except for an intense feeling of dread. This encounter also happened not far from the ancestral home of James Heartness, who was former governor of Vermont but was also an amateur Astronomer with a secret club located in the tunnels under his house. Do the echoes of Mr. Hartness and his secret club have something to do with what happen to our guest...I don't know, you'll have to make your mind up for your self.

Our second story involves someone who was fishing along the border of Weathersfield and Springfield and encounter not one but Sasquatch creatures coming out of the forest. he was sure it was some sort of prank but when they roared at him he realized these were definitely not his friends in costumes.

Our third story is told by a man who recounted an encounter he had one night with a Sasquatch that was squatted down watching him sleep inside his locked lake house in Northern Vermont. This is an incredible encounter that suggests something we've been playing with the past few episode and something many researcher try to stay away from. while the audio isn't great, its something you need to hear for yourself.

Inter-Dimensional Irish Hero's from the Other World

In honor of Saint Patricks day, I decided that delving into some ancient Irish folklore would be a great idea, especially with all the talk of Nephilim; Anunnaki; Djinn and of course portals, these days.

Now when one thinks of saint patricks day they may think. Of, pots of gold, four leaf clovers, corn beef and cabbage, green beer and most importantly leprechauns.

These little shoe shining creatures have found their own place in popular culture. I know personally, “the Leprechaun” was one of if not the first horror movie my father let me watch and the mysterious lore behind the magical cobbler led to movie after movie after movie, be it blood filled horror flick or happy-go-lucky family fun. But while the leprechaun may have taken their pots of gold all the way to the bright lights of Hollywood, they left behind an incredibly in-depth and sprawling book of lore on the misty shores of eerie. But this lore involved so much more than four leaf clovers and rainbows. The “folklore” that forms the backbone of Irish history is filled with giants and monsters and epic battles worthy of game of thrones or Lord of the Rings. Mexico's Roswell with Crazy Strange Daze

Adam is a professional mountain guide within B.C. and has used his skill as a mountaineer to search some of the hardest to reach locations within the Pitt Lake area. He is also opened minded and while still skeptical, he's interested in the paranormal. We start by asking him about Rob Nicholson's encounter with a strange being somewhere around the Terrarossa Glacier and then about a historical figure named Volcanic Brown, who also searched for the treasure in the early 1900's but vanished without a trace. we then wonder if the two could be connected and whether the lost gold even exists on this plane of reality.

We also talk about local legends and some other expeditions Adams been apart of lately and is an episode those of you who hear the call of the wild won't want to miss!

Alaskan Horror Stories

Alaska, the land of the midnight Sun. Where people go to disappear and where the missing are rarely found.

663,268 square miles of vast, thick rainforests, tall, towering mountains and ancient, frozen, tundra. The state of Alaska was purchased by the United states in 1867 and admitted to union in 1959. And is the only state in the union to have a WW2 battle fought on its soil, this being the battle of Attu in 1942.

The thirst tallest mountain in the world, Denali, is located in Alaska and it’s also the tallest in North America standing tall at a whopping 20,310 feet.

But when i think of Alaska i wonder what sort of mysteries the interior holds. Those endless forests no doubt keep many secrets and in tonight’s episode, we may have a chance to peek under that thick canopy and see what sort of nightmares the land of the midnight protects.

Dyatlov Pass and the Khama Daban Incidents with Thom Pollard

This week we talk with Cinematographer and explorer Thom Pollard again about some pretty crazy events that happened in Russia back in 1959 and 1993.

Theres something special about a mystery that goes down in the remote wilds of this world. Be it in the far north where temperatures regularly reach negative 30 degrees fairnght; or in the high mountains where people can literally disappear into thin air; or in the dense jungles where the vegetation is still hiding vast ancient cities; the vast emptiness of the desert where shifting sands continuously bury treasures from our distant past; and of course we can’t forget about the deep oceans where more is known about space than what is down there.

When something strange goes down in one of these places there’s a really good chance we’ll never know what happens and in some cases we’ll never even know something was wrong in the first place.

These two incidents we talk about tonight have remain mysterious to this day. There are talks of Aliens, slab avalanche’s, weapons testing but we will never really know and that could be because everyone involved in the first incident died horribly and one only lived to tell the tale of the second, even if her story sounds more like a Hollywood horror film.

The Fae Wood

She talks about seeing lights lights in the woods as well as the hazy image of a little man hiding behind a tree. Was this little man a Fae creature some sort of pukwudie or brownie? A Haunting in Goshen

On this weeks episode we have a great story to wrap this year up. Told by two sisters, who spent their childhood in and out of their great grandmother's house. Except as they grow older and matured into young woman, something sinister began to take interest in the girls. This something was a ghost, the spirit of a man wearing a top hat that was rarely seen but felt often. They were told it was nothing, just a trick of the light or their own imagination. However, a peculiar letter, dated 1862 and found stashed away in the walls of the old stairway, would provide just as many answers as it did questions. To this day, Jody and Haley aren't exactly sure what lurks within the upper bedrooms of their great grandmother's house, but they are sure about one thing, the tall man with the top hat doesn't belong there.

Pinewood Cemetery's Portal To Hell

The Civil War House

The Demon of Elmcrest; Ghosts on Mt. Everest; A Ghost Writer's Ghost

Lastly we will hear from paranormal author Joseph Citro (episode 31) about a possible ghost encounter he had while staying over night at a haunted hotel in the quaint New England town of Chester, Vermont.

A Haunting Within the Bennington Triangle

Nick starts the show by talking about the new Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and then he goes into a conversation with his uncle and cousin about a house they lived in that was located near the base of Glastonbury Mountain in the heart of the infamous Bennington Triangle.

Each called recalls their encounters within the home and the spirit believed to be a previous owner named ‘Jimmy’ or as the son believes something else pretending to this man named ‘Jimmy’. I will also be posting a very clear picture, taken by accident, of the spirit beloved to haunt the home. This incredible picture detects the full body of a man floating 6 inches ir so above the ground and he is standing over Eric as he lays on the couch.

Each called then gets into some weird happenings from the surrounding areas as well as a UFO encounter that happened in the 40’s or 50’s that happened to the Eric’s mother while she was on a Girl Scout trip up Fall Mountain.
