I look forward to the day I share once more, but until that day, I'm going to embrace and enjoy one heck of a journey along the way!

TACKLING PROJECTS

Managing and tackling projects, especially the big ones, can very easily feel overwhelming. I personally have struggled with this for the vast majority of my life. This ties in really well with fear and somewhat with ego (the lack of) as well. It's important to remember that learning and working to improve are a continuous part of the journey. The bar for potential growth continues to rise as long as you continue to willingly and honestly work on yourself. With that being said, and with my knowing how much I've already grown so far, doubt is (in my opinion) my biggest obstacle that I can address and one that can cause a lot of frustration and additional challenges if not addressed.

RACIAL INJUSTICE

Racial Injustice - A problem in sports, our schools, and our communities throughout the country. My perspective on the problem, and a suggestion worth trying to work on addressing racial injustice in a more productive manner.

Update (11/23 @ 12:08am) - A short while ago, the incident I started off this episode with, involving MSU hockey player Jagger Joshua and an Ohio State hockey player, has been addressed and properly handled by OSU Athletic Director, Gene Smith. Not only did he publicly apologize to Joshua, he also announced that the OSU player responsible for the racial slurs is going back home, and is no longer a part of the Ohio State hockey team. Additionally, Smith stated, "I have met with the men's hockey team and will be meeting with them again soon to discuss our values. The team will complete education on racial sensitivity, diversity, equity, inclusion and the use of respectful dialog." In my opinion, this update of circumstances is a pleasant reminder that change IS possible and CAN be achieved.
