For the first time ever in the history of LIP, we've recorded an episode with only one host! Nicola hosts the podcast and talks to himself for the better part of half an hour, while the world holds its breath in anticipation of Neil's return from his travels to the South of France.

In the core postulatory segment, he continues his lonely crusade to make airports a better place by introducing referees and a card system (5:10). Should you be punished from cropdusting your way through the terminal? What about letting your kids wreak havoc? And why are you still having lose change in your pocket when going through security?

After that healthy does of mundanity, he shifts his attention to his current pop culture consumption habits (21:30). Should we all give stand up comedy shows another chance? Why are there not that many good movies during awards season? And what's worth reading at the moment?

With Nicola otherwise occupied, Neil is joined by none other than singer-songwriter Graham O'Hara to discuss creativity, finding your voice and how a beginner can take their first steps into making music.

After their trip to South Dakota, Neil and Nicola are back with more postulations! In a rare instance of vulnerability, Neil opens up to the audience about a traumatic experience from a board game night (1:05). Then, after a brief aside on the enduring accuracy of Wikipedia (7:30), they reveal their sympathies for a certain side in the Duvet Wars (10:00). Are separate duvets always better? And what should you do when you are staying in a hotel?

The main postulatory segment sees the return of the many Mount Rushmores. First, perplexing poll results are revealed from last week that reveal a surprising (and, perhaps, dissapointing) level of conventionality and conformity from the LIP community (17:12). Then it is on to Mount Chucksmore, where Neil and Nicola attempt to reach a consensus to determine the four greatest comedians that have succesfully transitioned to serious dramatic roles (25:30). Spoiler: they fail and will need your help in another run-off vote!

Listeners, this week is all about you! The vibes are as mundane as they will probably ever get as Neil and Nicola dive deep into our mailbag for listener inspired postulations and do their best to resolve some ageless debates.

First, an old loyal listener of the podcast comes with some pungent feedback and allegations geared towards Neil's recent performances on the podcast (4:40). Will this motivational Sir Alex-like figure ever reveal himself? Or will their anonymity live to see another day?

Then, they tackle a postulation which is very much the bread-and-sausage of LIP: Is a hotdog a sandwich (8:50)? Nobody holds back as official definitions are dissected, historical context is ruminated on and, ultimately, a unified theory is somehow reached. How does a hamburger fit in? And what about this weird, and somewhat vulgar, French-Danish innovation for holding the hot dog?

In another critical postulatory segment, they are asked which way they hang the toilet roll (27:00)? Neil reveals what a stickler he is for bathroom rules and Nicola provides a definitive answer based on a a patent from 1891.

There are many contenders but can they gel and go for glory against our eventual Good Hair Eleven? We breakdown the goalkeeper who insisted on donning a $5 haircut late into his career, a defender who seemingly had green branches growing out of the top of his head and a big 'captain energy' defender who had years worth of hair but refused to wear a headband.

Then, who was the right midfielder who showed up to training with blond cornrows after his Caribbean spring break? It's bad bald vibes in midfield and a toupee that came off mid run before identifying the Michael Jordan of soccer with a rat-tail. We postulate on why the guy making a copy of your key almost always also offers shoe repair service and can even blunt your knives. Are such shops a farce or is there actually a connection? Then it's back to the Northern Hemisphere where, north of Birmingham, we find an allegedly greedflationary superstore like no other. Can you kick customers out for taking too long to shop? 21. Landing the PJ

First though, in our weekly mundane postulation we try to reach a unified theory of drinking water which sees us discuss the following: Is it okay to dilute sparkling water? It's then on to one of our most ambitious postulations yet, starting with us ruminating on the explosion of commercial mountaineering and why Mount Everest continues be venerated within the pop culture (10:05). Then we introduce the Ultimate Celebrity Everest Climb whereby a confluence of events brings the UN Security Council, Neil, a Nepali sherpa and a ragtag bunch of celebrities together in an effort to bring about a lasting world peace (14:50). After a debrief on the grueling journey, Neil dives into drafting his team from a wide-ranging list of athletes, world leaders, actors, musicians, authors and business people. We celebrate our tenth episode anniversary by finally postulating about sports trends and fads. First though, we have a go at settling an age-old debate: socks before trousers, or trousers before socks (2:40)?
