It’s been one hell of a month: 13-hour workdays, passive-aggressive Teams messages, and enough stress to make even a session IPA feel like rocket fuel. So, I cracked open some cans, hit record, and things got… interesting.

This episode, I share some utterly surreal personal news (spoiler: I may or may not be the new host of MasterChef), shout out some cracking comedy shows from Amelia Bayler and Kate Hammer, and recount a much-needed escape to leafy Dunblane.

Of course, there’s beer — a ridiculous lineup ranging from turnip-scented despair to liquid gold, with tasting notes that veer from “angel jizz” to “the beer equivalent of a skateboard to the back of the head.”

Alright you beautiful bunch of beer-loving legends — The Bearded Beer Pod is back with a fresh new look, the same old theme tune, and a frankly lazy attitude towards making a new one.

In this month’s episode: I got barricaded in my office by a rogue beer delivery, bid a teary farewell to the final haul from a certain beer shop, and got emotionally flattened by the Custard Sessions at Edinburgh’s Blue Blazer. Expect fizzy AA batteries, flumpy DIPAs, a TIPA that nearly put me in a skip, and a few outrageously dodgy beer facts you never asked for.
