The film stars Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, Kuranosuke Sasaki, Mio Tanaka, Sae Nagatani, and Godzilla himself. Visually stunning, with a compelling story and worthwhile social commentary, this film is a treat... But Is Godzilla Minus One Good?

This film is widely thought to be one of the greatest films of all time, and for good reason. It is a thoughtfully crafted movie with stunning visuals... But Is Spirited Away Good?

Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Vanessa Kirby, and Tahar Rahim, this film follows the French leader Napoleon Bonaparte's rise and fall, as well as his relationship with Empress Josaphine. The film has received generally positive reviews, however, it has come under fire (haha a war pun) for its historical inaccuracies. But... Is Napoleon Good?

And we are talking about the film here. We are not entering into a debate about whether the actual Napoleon Bonaparte was a good person with pure intentions for the French People. That would just be silly.

This film was directed by Mike Mills and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Gaby Hoffman, Scoot McNairy, Molly Webster,, Jaboukie Young-White, and Woody Norman. Aaron and Bryce Dessner did the music, and this really excited Hunter because of their previous collaborations with other musicians he likes. This film follows an uncle and his nephew who are brought together by unforeseen circumstances and learn to coexist and bond, while untangling their own troubles. It is a joy to watch and we think you will enjoy it. But... Is C'mon C'mon Good?

This film takes some getting used to, but clearly, it has a powerful message... But Is The Master Good?

#146 - The Shining

This week we finish off Spooky Season by discussing Stanley Kubrick's rendition of The Shining! Starring Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Scatman Crothers, and Danny Lloyd, this film is loosely based on Stephen King's 1977 novel. There are numerous differences, however, and it is all but confirmed that Kubrick brought his own vision to King's backdrop. Jack Nicholson portrays Jack Torrance, a writer who takes a job to watch after a hotel during the off-season for 5 months. He brings his family and when everyone else leaves, things start to get FREAKY. Jack begins the slow descent into madness while his wife and child are just trying to stay alive and stay sane. The level of detailed analysis that people have done on this film over the past 43 years is truly something to behold, and there is undoubtedly a lot to discuss... But Is The Shining Good?

This film is almost 3 1/2 hours long, so strap yourself in and get ready for a long ride. But... Is Killers of the Flower Moon Good?

This week we hop on down to Old Los Angeles and New Asia for Gareth Edwards' new film: The Creator! Starring John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, and Allison Janney, this film was proclaimed by Edwards to be "Apocalypse Now meets Blade Runner," which we think may be a bit of a stretch. Set in the future with a war raging between America and Artificial Intelligence, the movie follows Joshua Taylor (John David Washington), some sort of ex-secret agent who is pulled back into the conflict that really messed him up 5 years ago. He has to find some sort of weapon and there aren't many details that we can give beyond this point without spoilerizing the film, so we are going to cut it off here. But... Is The Creator Good?

And of all places, they go to Los Angeles. This film explores religious, existential, and humanistic themes and raises a lot of questions for the viewer. Featuring other big names such as Robert Duvall, Lawrence Fishburne and Harrison Ford, this film is a visual masterpiece and a pillar of filmmaking. But... Is Apocalypse Now Good?

This Batman iteration was partially influenced by The Killing Joke, The Dark Knight Returns, and Red Hood, and Batman creator Bob Kane worked as a consultant on the film. Campy and goofy as much as it tries to be serious, this film stands out as unique among the slew of Batman entries... But Is Batman Good?

This week we tackle James Gunn's newest (and last) entry in the MCU - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3! A highly emotional character-based film, this movie picks up where *checks notes* the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special left off. Featuring a star-studded -- almost to the point of feeling bloated -- cast, GOTG3 delivers on all the goofs, gags, and guffaws one comes to expect from a James Gunn entry. A refreshing (wink) if not unpolished film, this does feel like a return to form for the MCU. But with James Gunn departing to head the new DCU, and with this being the first serviceable film to come out of Marvel Studios in the recent past, it is hard to say that this gets the MCU back on track. Nevertheless, this film will deliver on laughs and emotions for the general viewer. But... Is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Good?

And yet, fans continue to line up in droves to be the first to see the newest installment.

Let us be Frank for a moment (normally we are Hunter and Zach). While the source material is nearly endless, the shelf life of the longest-running comic movie series may be reaching its' end. Just like the Pied Piper led rats through the streets, are we destined to dance like marionettes, swaying to the symphony of cinematic mediocrity? Or, to put it another way - But Is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Good?

"Birds of Prey" is a raunchy, quirky, and hilariously self-aware movie, but is it good?
