Brandon Hodge is a collector, author, researcher and entrepreneur. Always fascinated by the bizarre world of tipping tables, seances, and ghost hunts, Brandon has spent years researching spirit communication devices and the early history of the Spiritualist movement. He added his first automatic writer to his shelves--a boxed E.I.H. Scientific Planchette, and he has since amassed the world's finest collection of writing planchettes.

Brandon currently lives in Austin and by day, he runs his stores Monkey See, Monkey Do and Big Top Candy Shop.  

Most of his weekends are spent scouring flea markets, antique fairs, and old homesteads in Texas, while maintaining an international network of collectors, dealers, and researchers ever on the hunt for the next item or clue that will add the next important piece to their puzzle.

Brandon Hodge is a collector, author, researcher and entrepreneur. Always fascinated by the bizarre world of tipping tables, seances, and ghost hunts, Brandon has spent years researching spirit communication devices and the early history of the Spiritualist movement. He added his first automatic writer to his shelves--a boxed E.I.H. Scientific Planchette, and he has since amassed the world's finest collection of writing planchettes.

Brandon currently lives in Austin and by day, he runs his stores Monkey See, Monkey Do and Big Top Candy Shop.  

Most of his weekends are spent scouring flea markets, antique fairs, and old homesteads in Texas, while maintaining an international network of collectors, dealers, and researchers ever on the hunt for the next item or clue that will add the next important piece to their puzzle.

We didn't want to not release this episode but it is themed for the coming holiday, The Fourth of July. We know there are boycotts for the 4th and this episode is not in opposition of those boycotts. This episode talks only about Presidents of the far past and is a fun and quick escape from the current crisis. We could all use a little escapism, if only for a quick hour before we go back to taking our rights back.


Seances in the White House? Which president did that? Who were they trying to communicate with? Who performed these seances? Quick hint: we've covered one of them already in a previous episode. Who wants to hear about how and by who haunts the White House?? FYI this is just scrapping the surface of spiritualism practices that happened in this famous house.

]]> Quick note, we recorded this episode before the Supreme Court overturning Roe v Wade. We didn't want to not release this episode but it is themed for the coming holiday, The Fourth of July. We know there are boycotts for the 4th and this episode is not in opposition of those boycotts. This episode talks only about Presidents of the far past and is a fun and quick escape from the current crisis. We could all use a little escapism, if only for a quick hour before we go back to taking our rights back.
