On the comedy side, it’s a weird one, no plan sets, no enjoyment, and a brutally honest look at whether this whole thing is actually going anywhere… plus a tour update as we lock in towns for mid-year.

This week I’m breaking down the absolute chaos that is UFC 327, a card that’s been reshuffled about 10 times, lost a title fight, and somehow still ended up with Jiri vs Ulberg for the belt.

We run through every fight from the early prelims to the main event, including Suarez vs Loopy, Gastelum vs Luque, and a bunch of sneaky bangers that could easily steal the show.

On top of that, Dana White’s come out saying he’s no longer in charge of booking fights, Pereira’s blown the division up chasing heavyweight, and the whole card just feels like it’s been thrown together last minute.

As always, I give my completely unreliable picks, potential upsets, and another edition of the “Can’t Bet Any Worse” multi.

This week kicks off with a bloke casually chewing crayons like it’s a 15-part Netflix series and somehow only on part 16… then spirals into April Fools chaos involving fake bike accidents, AI-generated dire wolves, and almost traumatising both kids before breakfast.

There’s servo workers testing my patience (again), a wholesome firefighter moment that nearly restored my faith in humanity, and me lining up at a needle exchange feeling like a full-blown junkie… only to get knocked back while the crackheads breeze through VIP.

We’ve got a sex-related knee injury that ends with me basically re-enacting a war wound, a Logan hospital date night that feels like the most romantic thing you can do in the area, and a new viral character “Bingus” that looks like a Temu clown having an identity crisis.

Comedy-wise, the Gong Show curse continues (always the bridesmaid), but we get real close to breaking it… plus a chaotic Super Mario movie trip where I miss half the film and come back feeling like I’ve woken up mid-fever dream.

It’s chaotic, dumb, slightly unhinged… and somehow still relatable.

There’s the worst proposal you’ll ever hear (yes, “skadoosh” is involved), ongoing battles with appliances draining my bank account’s will to live, and the realisation I’ve been running on low testosterone like an iPhone on 2% for years.

Comedy-wise, dream gigs don’t always match reality, random pub shows can be elite, and nothing stings more than getting praised for someone else’s jokes. Chuck in fight talk, throwback music, and the official “Patreon on life support” announcement, this one’s all over the place in the best way.

From there, Westy cops his first war-crime level Bunnings toilet experience, I catch a sparky watching me piss from the top of a ladder (confirming everything I’ve ever said), and Parker goes full possessed iPad kid screaming “NOTHING BEATS A JET2 HOLIDAY” inside a travel agent. We also break down one of the weirdest mum/son dynamics you’ll ever hear, featuring a fully stocked “period station” that nobody asked for.

Comedy-wise, it was a big week, back-to-back Good Chat sets (including getting thrown on first), my first proper spot at Sit Down Comedy Club where things finally clicked, and the RAW Final, which came with cursed judges, chaos, and a “be undeniable” mindset that almost got it done.

Got poisoned by a rogue apple, drove three hours to a Scottish-themed time machine in rural NSW, nearly tore my knee out ripping tree roots with the ute, and somehow ended up questioning whether my annoying gym nemesis might actually be the coolest guy in the building.

This week’s chaos also includes another batch of cursed internet clips in “Turns Out It Can Get Worse”, including a suspiciously attractive girl complimenting strangers’ balls, a bloke reviewing a bizarre internet trend, a baby-aisle couple getting way too turned on, and a very strange twerking recruitment scheme.

We get into Parker roasting every kid for being glued to their screens… despite being the most dedicated iPad kid alive, the awkward nightmare of gym staff small talk, the stress of launching Patreon and hosting the IBC live stream while everything technical falls apart, plus the full breakdown of the IBC fights.

This week we open with another unhinged “Turns Out It Can Get Worse” clip, a basement philosopher confidently announcing he’s “probably not gay.” Which feels like the least convincing press conference of all time.

The boys are learning about the solar system, Nikita casually drops that Pluto used to be a planet, and suddenly we’re fielding questions we absolutely cannot answer. Pluto propaganda is real. I’m convinced.

We break down cross country day, Westy coming second (nearly hunting down a kid who does running as a sport like a psycho), Parker threatening to sit at the start line before running his little asthmatic heart out… and the small detail that the school had to reroute the course because there’s apparently a homeless man living in the bush on school property.

At the gym, my old mate corners me mid-set to tell me he’s been in court, but “doesn’t want to talk about it”, before advising me to simply “make more time” for the gym. Incredible.

There’s a huge dad high when Westy gets his BMX back from the shop and rides it like it’s Christmas… immediately followed by the crushing realisation that I’m no longer allowed to attend school chapel because I’m officially uncool.

In comedy, The Comedy Cellar was labelled a tough room before I tried new gear and somehow crushed, followed by a 20-minute off-the-top set at Iron & Resin that involved empty seats, children in the crowd and a long, reflective drive home.

We kick off with the most unhinged Valentine’s Day message you’ve ever heard (Daddy’s little pot pie is CRAZY), before school pickup humbles me in hi-vis when my own kids question whether I actually work hard. Nothing like a six-year-old performance review to keep you grounded.

Westy makes an interschool sports team… volleyball. Not soccer. Not baseball. Volleyball. I’m supportive, I’m proud, I’m also emotionally confused.

Then we throw him a birthday sleepover with the one kid at school who collects broken bones like Pokémon cards. Area 51 was booked out so we panic and take them to Bounce, aka Orthopaedic Surgeons’ Christmas Party. No injuries (miraculously), but I do discover kids don’t know how straw dispensers work and that a free jug of water now counts as a prize.

Migraine Sunday leads to a chaotic massage experience that nearly rearranged my nose permanently. Unhappy ending. Structurally aligned.

In comedy this week: Newmarket Hotel was a proper crush followed by a subtle drive-by from the MC about “young comics,” and The Comedy Cellar had me slightly in my head but still swinging.

Plus we meet Girth Brooks, Bronk Legsnar, and a kid whose prank on the wrong woman will haunt him forever.

Life’s good. Life’s weird. Life’s hi-vis depression and trampoline liability waivers.

And remember… if you think it can’t get worse, it probably can.

There’s servo scams, pangolin porn, breaking 20s like a criminal mastermind, and one of the worst hecklers I’ve dealt with in years, complete with a handshake and a cancer announcement mid-set.

We hit peak public-idiot territory at the dump with a bloke so rude we abandoned him mid-intersection, dive into another unhinged Turns Out featuring cock sandwiches, and balance it out with a rare wholesome dad moment when Westy quietly took the bins out while I was wrecked with whiplash.

Hey legends! We’ve got another cracking episode of the Can’t Get Any Worse podcast this week. First off, we managed to fumble the bag on getting Luke Combs tickets, also Nikita is hitting the clubs asking if people still get drugged… so I’m sending her out with a plastic sleeve for safety.

And on the list of life’s annoyances, nothing tops Coles Express trying to upsell you on everything—no, I don’t want the bigger bottle! To top it off, I visited a foreign Bunnings, and let’s just say it’s not a vibe. Oh, and I had a run-in with a racist Subway worker, which was… interesting.

In comedy this week, I had a killer trip to Toowoomba, even bumped into an old school mate. Plus, Big Fork Theatre had me deep in a 7/11 conspiracy (don’t ask).

On the screen, I’m checking out The Office Australia and diving into the Menendez Brothers series. Also had a laugh over Mr. McMahon’s wild stories, and Hulk Hogan showing some class by refusing to rat on his steroids.

In the UFC, Moicano absolutely destroyed St. Denis, and UFC 307 is heating up—Kayla Harrison’s back, and Chandler’s showing he’s no joke after all.

In this week’s Premature Premises, I’m talking about married blokes who wish they could have cool phone wallpapers. Meanwhile, I’m stuck with a picture of the missus. Where’s my Lambo?!
