How did you all enjoy the cliffhanger?

On this continuation of Wyatt Madison 's conversation, we dive into short stories, small vs large writing accounts, life lessons inserted into novels, parents are amazing, lessons learned through writing, "market readers", "everyone has a story", critiquing, social media (again) and more.

Welcome back to the podcast! This is going to look a little bit different in terms of podcast episode titles and yet if you've listened to the first two seasons, it's still the same crazy content I've been bringing to you. I can't believe it's now Season 3 and people are listening to this and have an interest. I am calling this the "Golden Season" because I finally feel like my life is coming together. This little introduction episode is a little bit all over the place and yet, this is just pure Cassie (Cassidy) Jackson. The ramblings, the having to repeat words over and over, and just pure chaos of me is ever present. 2024 has been awesome (so far). I can't believe everything that's happened to me this summer so far and I can't wait for you all to listen to this "Golden Season" of wise gen z authors!

Email: cassiescraftingconundrum@gmail.com for inquiries, comments, questions, and general feedback.

Note: I will not respond to any dms on social media about inquiries, comments, question and general feedback.

Twitter, Instagram, and Threads: cassjackson_22

Hosted on Acast. She is a 23nyear old author who is in the process of getting a master's degree, sadly an ocean away from me. What started out as a journey about morally grey, human female characters spans talking about education, delusional males, wattpad stories and authors, and so much more packed into one. It is a journey of the two of us talking about our trauma and our past in order to write the way we write and experience life the way we do. We thank you for what you are about to listen to and promise this was much longer than it is now. We invite you to grab a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate and settle in for a roller coaster of an episode. And yes, Maria is now querying and I can not wait for some agent to snap up this story.

This week I tackle a topic near and dear to my heart, people of color in fiction and real life, with my guest Bia (she/her) a 26 year old author who is also a person of color. We open up about what it's like growing up as a person of color in the United States, how people we interact with in real life shape characters and our own experiences, reveal who one of our author idols is, and so much more. We do not represent all of the Hispanic and Asian Americans in the United States, we have decided to highlight our own voices so other POC authors don't feel as alone in a world that has been dominated by one voice for so long.

Our opinions and experiences are our own. <itunes:summary>

It's a little short episode for you all. I know you all know I can't talk about myself for a long period of time, I can't. It's not in the cards for me. So me making the life update episodes long, it's a stretch for me. People will criticize me for releasing a podcast right now, note, these episodes were recorded in August and we were not aware of how much the world would change in a few short months. We all sit in a place of privilege and we're all raising our voices and remembering things. Don't become desensitized to everything going on. Yes, you are allowed to go about your life normally, however, please remember you sit in a place of privilege. So my little life update might seem stupid to people who are facing real turmoil and real struggles, however, every emotion being felt right now is valid. Keep speaking up and speaking out; as ordinary citizens we might not be able to do anything, but not talking about this situation in some way seems so so very wrong. History will repeat itself, however, we won't be silent about it.
