Okay, I admit it, I didn't have the energy to work on the podcast or even writing once last September hit. This is me, in true Cassie fashion, telling you all what I've been up to. It's back to school month and that means I decided to share a little bit of my personal life with you all.In this episode, I talk about how not stereotypical my college experience has because I don't party, I don't drink, I don't even really socialize because I was too busy healing from my past. And you know what, that's totally okay o not to any of the things people "are supposed to do in college". If you get called boring, so be it! I'm so happy and grateful to be called boring.

Just attempt to be yourself and you can go far in life! <3 I'm so proud of you!

Wyatt Madison (he/him) is someone I have adopted into my writing family and he knows this and as an 17 year old high school senior who gets less sleep than I do, I admire this young man for who he is. We discuss everything and the kitchen sink when it comes to emotional turmoil.

In this first part: families are everything, Twitter is overstimulating, experimentation on social media, creativity is needed in life, trading English class stories, the human experience (this is most of it) and so much more in part one of two amazing episodes from a guy I'm so proud to call my writing little brother. Year One Thank You: Than You for One Year of Cassie's Crafting Conundrum

I can not believe it's been a solid year since the first episode came out and the world learned I talk really freaking fast. I can't believe you all have shared, listened, been guests on, and just plain cheered me on for a year. To Mads who got this all started and my in real life friends, family, and supporters who let me do this pretty much in secret.

Season one guests: the guinea pigs, the people who took a chance on me and who have become some of my closest friends, I love you all so much.

Season two guests: the sophomore season, the season I recorded and still didn't think I was doing the right thing, thank you for letting me into your lives for a little bit. It means so much and I love you.

Season three guests: I can't believe I've gotten to talk to some of you and pick your brains on the topics we have talked about. The Golden Season is special in so many ways. I love you all to the moon and back.

I can't put into words what you, the listener of this podcast means to me, without you the guests would be shouting into the internet void. Thank you for letting them have their words heard.

I am figuring out what I want to do with my life as a STEM major, author, and podcaster and to have this podcast where gen z can be gen z without judgement is truly a gift.

Here's to many more years as a podcast host! Words can not describe how much you all mean to me.

In this episode, I sit down with Caitlin (she/her), a 26 year old historian and fantasy author thinks working on a novel is like solving a complex puzzle. In this episode of season two, we discuss Caitlin's two projects heavily involved in Greek and Roman mythology, the difference between the Swiss and US postsecondary education, how writing is a universal language, how history is a basis for making worlds from scratch, how hard it is to find a balance of what part of a wip to share with others, and so much more.

Just a Little Update

It's a little short episode for you all. I know you all know I can't talk about myself for a long period of time, I can't. It's not in the cards for me. So me making the life update episodes long, it's a stretch for me. People will criticize me for releasing a podcast right now, note, these episodes were recorded in August and we were not aware of how much the world would change in a few short months. We all sit in a place of privilege and we're all raising our voices and remembering things. Don't become desensitized to everything going on. Yes, you are allowed to go about your life normally, however, please remember you sit in a place of privilege. So my little life update might seem stupid to people who are facing real turmoil and real struggles, however, every emotion being felt right now is valid. Keep speaking up and speaking out; as ordinary citizens we might not be able to do anything, but not talking about this situation in some way seems so so very wrong. History will repeat itself, however, we won't be silent about it.

Season 1 Episode 3: Speed Writing Fiction vs The World of STEM and ADHD

Halle (she/her), an incoming college sophomore stem major, and I sit down for a talk about writing in a short period of time vs taking time for a manuscript to come to the writer, ADHD and how it affects us as people, stem writers writing non stem related fiction projects, how opposite Halle and I are as people and yet we get along so well as people and as writer, and so much more. This episode is a lot longer than I would have expected, however, it was a joy for me to sit down with this amazing gen z author who knows what she wants and will let nothing stand in the way of that. I wish I was like her, though different people are the spice of life and I love it.

The second teacher in my story is a master's student who just graduated with her MFA from my college and she was absolutely amazing because she restored my hope that I actually could write and it was good. I just need to keep going. And so I did. And here I am, still writing and raring to go with more stories in my brain than I have time to write down.

We talk IB coursework, high school experiences, how the COVID-19 pandemic shaped high school for Lilka, student athlete vs "jock", how the status quo is meant to be broken in real life and in fiction, and many other topics two people who met through a mutual friend would talk about. It was an absolute joy to speak with her and I can't wait for you all to meet her!
