Meilir is one of contemporary music’s most provocative and audacious artists, melding expert songcraft with a fearless lyrical approach and wildly eclectic sonic sensibility. Born and raised in Flintshire, North Wales, he first made waves in his youth as a classically trained pianist and vocalist. Despite his success, Meilir, yearned to create something altogether his own. He co-founded the band Manchuko, making their live debut with a national broadcast on the Welsh-language television channel, S4C.

In 2009 Meilir began crafting his own unique music, creating soundscapes with an idiosyncratic blend of piano, electric guitar, and assorted synthesizers with such unlikely instrumentation as a thumb piano, an antique typewriter, wine glasses and even a tray full of gravel. A series of critically acclaimed singles and EPs followed, including 2009’s BYDD WYCH, 2011’s CELLAR SONGS, and the 2014 single, “Arabella,” all available now via Meilir’s Bandcamp HERE. His debut album In Tune was digitally released in December 2020 and was followed by a vinyl release in April 2021, and has since received regular plays on BBC 6Music, Radio Wales & Radio Cymru and all over the world.

Amy Sterly is an artist and musician from Chicago who moved to Wales in 1989 She creates prints, installations and multimedia works based around her love of books and what it means to move away from books as just physical objects and explore the sounds, the smells and the textures of books that are often lost or ignored.

Hydref – Peiriant – River Songs EP

Peiriant are an experimental duo based in Mid Wales, consisting of Rose and Dan Linn-Pearl. They perform with electric guitar, violin and found objects. Peiriant pursue moods of minimalism, drone, post-rock, soundscape and spoken word. Their semi-improvised compositions summon mellifluous and somatic audio environments, characterised by the push/pull tonal relationship between the two instruments.
