Inside the Vital Body Method, her signature program, she teaches you how to activate your body’s natural healing state for growth and expansion by feeling, processing and understanding the energy being expressed through your body so that you can align with your most vital self.

I’ve spoken before about how I believe that how we feel in our bodies is directly correlated to our ability to tap into our peak creative potential.

Today’s episode is with another really special human being and creator, Savanna Jones-Martin.

Savanna and I met two years ago in New York at an immersive experience that we both participated in. When I first met Savanna, I felt an immediate resonance with her. She’s a beautiful human being who is deeply embodied in her truth and her creativity.

She’s a vocalist and in the last year she’s been very active with producing her own beautiful music and sharing it with the world. In 2020 she released an album called “Breath of Earth” and this year, in 2021, she released a gorgeous single called “Simplicity.” Currently, she’s in the process of producing and recording a new collection of songs that she’s written.

Savanna is also an Embodiment Coach who uses Somatic Experiencing processes informed by the work of Peter Levine and she also teaches voice through a somatically-oriented therapeutic lens. She also facilitates dance and movement events and works as a ceremonial artist where she offers songs, prayers and space holding in meditative, healing and ceremonial settings.

I see Savanna as someone who very much lives in her creative truth, which is one of the reasons I felt called to having her on the show. In today’s conversation she shares so many wisdoms and insights into the creative process. She is a true joy and inspiration to listen to!

FIND SAVANNA

Website: www.savannajonesmartin.com

Instagram: @savannajonesmartin

FIND ME

www.leahsalinas.com

Instagram: @leah_salinas

THINGS WE MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE

Breath of Earth

Simplicity

Savanna’s Embodiment Coaching work

Savanna’s voice lessons

Somatic Experiencing

The War of Art by Steven Pressfield

The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron

—

This podcast has been edited and co-produced by René G.

As I’ve mentioned before, one of my main goals with this podcast is to share as many tools as possible to support you with tapping into your peak creative potential. Today’s conversation will be all about one of the most potent tools that I’ve discovered on my own journey of tapping deeper and deeper into my creativity.

That tool is Neurofeedback. Neurofeedback is a form of biofeedback which allows you to train different brainwaves and optimize the self-regulation of your brain.

In today’s episode I share a fascinating conversation with Elena Arici who is a Psychologist and Neurofeedback Specialist. She runs her own Neurofeedback practice, called Lernwerk, with two locations in the Zürich area. I’ve been training with Elena and her team for the past 8 months and have experienced amazing results: I’m able to focus for much longer periods of time (which has allowed me to tap into deeper & longer creative flow states!), I sleep better, experience less anxiety and the training has also supported me on my journey of healing a chronic pain experience.

Neurofeedback is an amazing tool that I feel should be much more widely known. So I’m delighted to share this conversation with Elena today, who is a true expert in the field.

Some of the things we talk about are:

What Neurofeedback is and how it works

Who can benefit from Neurofeedback

Neuromeditation (an exciting new area of Neurofeedback!)

How Neurofeedback can support the creative process

Possible side effects you might experience during training

Tips for finding a Neurofeedback practitioner if you don’t live in Zürich

Additional practices that can optimize your brain function

Elena has such a wealth of information and insight to share.

Lately I’ve been speaking a lot about how our relationship with our bodies is directly related to our ability to tap into our peak creative potential. Today’s guest, Akash Vaghela, is all about using the physical as a vehicle to transform your life. Akash is an author, entrepreneur and educator, who's spent the last ten years transforming lives around the world, and in May 2017, founded RNT Fitness to serve this purpose.

It brings me so much joy to start the year off with this beautiful conversation with Melissa Bloom.

Melissa is the founder of The Sisters Bloom, a sustainable stop-motion animation studio. She is also the co-founder of Lane & Lanae (a fine jewelry and home goods company). Unless people are being animated, the stop-motion process requires creating puppets, sets, props and other elements to create the animated world, which often results in a process that can be quite wasteful and harmful to the environment. Which is why Melissa was inspired to start her company, The Sisters Bloom, which is all about slowing down and finding new ways to create animations that produce minimal waste and are not harmful to humans or the environment.

In addition to speaking about her work with the studio, Melissa goes really deep into her creative journey during today’s interview.

Some of the things we talk about are:

What it’s like to suddenly question the path you’ve chosen

How it’s OK to take a step back sometimes

The importance of taking baby steps if you have a big vision

What it’s like to carve out your creative path on your own terms.

Enjoy the show!

FIND MELISSA

Website: www.thesistersbloom.com

Instagram: @sistersbloomstudios

FIND ME

www.leahsalinas.com

Instagram: @leah_salinas

THINGS WE MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE

The Sisters Bloom

Lane & Lanae

The Mindful Writer

Mt.

Welcome to Episode 17! In today’s episode I share a really beautiful conversation with Miranda Kelton, who is a Portrait Photographer based in Bend & Portland Oregon, as well as Los Angeles, California. She creates imagery for individuals and businesses who are looking to elevate their visual branding and market their products & services.

I’ve worked with Miranda as a client myself and I can say that she not only creates gorgeous photography and is very knowledgable about personal branding, but she also brings an immense amount of creative sensitivity to the process. So if you happen to be in Oregon or California and need photos, I highly recommend checking out her work.

In today’s conversation we talk about Miranda’s work as a photographer.

I felt called to create a solocast that is all about how I raise my frequency. I’ve come to find that my energetic state, my frequency, is directly connected to my ability to tap in my peak creative potential. When I’m vibrating at a lower frequency, it’s much more challenging for me to receive inspiration, enter flow states and to create. And the same is true for when I’m vibrating at a higher frequency. I’ve been aware aware of this for quite some time, but over the course of this year, my awareness of this has heightened.

It’s become easier for me to notice when I’m in a lower frequency state and I’ve become very clear on the exact steps I need to take to shift my state to a higher frequency.

As we are all aware, this year, 2020, has been a challenging one. And in my eyes, I feel like it’s been, and continues to be, an amazing opportunity for us all to take ownership over our own energetic state. We don’t have to get sucked into whatever whirlwind is happening outside of us. My goal for today’s episode is to show you how simple it is to raise your frequency. We all deserve to feel empowered and in charge of our own inner wellbeing. So join me for this sweet 20 minute candlelight chat (yes, I recorded this by candlelight!) and let’s all step into our power as sovereign beings.

FIND ME

www.leahsalinas.com

Instagram: @leah_salinas

THINGS I MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE

Papua Coffee

Last week’s episode: Coffee for Creativity with Christina Avaness, Founder of Papua Coffee

—

May this episode bring you joy & inspiration!

xo Leah

—

This podcast has been edited and produced by René G.

I’m absolutely delighted to have Christina Avaness on the show today, who is the Founder of Papua Coffee as well as the author of the healthy lifestyle book “Living Beyond Organic: Nutritional Knowledge Redefined!”. Christina is also a Food Alchemist and a Shakti Reiki Master.

I know that coffee can have a bit of a negative reputation. Which is justified in some cases, but I’ve found that the coffee that is the centerpiece of today’s conversation is an exception. It’s called “Papua Coffee” and I’ve found that when I drink it, it fills me with a deep sense of wellbeing, both physically and mentally. I started drinking this coffee about 13 years ago, and what I started to observe, is that it actually supports me with tapping into a creative flow state. Nowadays, I consider it a key component in my toolbox of tools that I use to support me in my creative process.

Christina and her family went through their own healing journey using food and herbs, which is also how the creation of Papua Coffee came about, and you’ll hear all about that in today’s episode. You’ll also learn about Christina’s spiritual journey and how her work with energy influences the roasting of the coffee. Other than that, Christina offers up some really wise and beautiful words on creativity and listening to those is a real treat as well.

I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to have Tina on the show and to share her wisdom with all of you!

Enjoy the show, Friends!

* This episode is not sponsored.

FIND CHRISTINA

www.drinkpapua.com

Instagram: @papuacoffee

FIND ME

www.leahsalinas.com

Instagram: @leah_salinas

THINGS WE MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE

Find Papua Coffee here: https://www.drinkpapua.com/

Papua Cardamom Coffee: https://www.drinkpapua.com/products/papua-cardamom-coffee-16oz

Shakti Brew: https://www.drinkpapua.com/products/shokti-brew

Papua Coffee Peaberry: https://www.drinkpapua.com/products/papua-coffee-peaberry

Papua Cold Brew: https://www.drinkpapua.com/products/cold-brew-case

Christina’s Book: Living Beyond Organic

Dr. Masaru Emoto

Jujube (Christina’s favorite creativity inspiring snack)

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (classical music piece)

EPISODE QUOTES

“I feel creativity is about energy flow.

Today I share a beautiful conversation with the wonderful Actor & Producer, Raphael Corkhill. Raphael is currently producing a historical feature called “The German King,” which follows an award-winning short film of the same name that he co-produced and acted in. In addition to that, Raphael is an avid voiceover actor and is in the upcoming video game “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.” He has also narrated countless audio books and has won numerous awards for his narration work: including several “Headphones Awards” from Audiofile Magazine, an Audie Award (which is the audiobook equivalent of an Oscar) and an Odyssey Award.

Raphael is deeply committed to his creative work and having him on the show to speak about his journey is a real treat.

Gianmarco’s seminar on Social Entrepreneurship in Zürich, Switzerland on Thursday, November 19th, 2020: Social Entrepreneurship Seminar

Dear Friends,

Welcome to Season 2 of the podcast! I decided to give it a name change, which I share more about in the introduction to this episode.

I also share an amazing conversation with Gianmarco Marinello, who is a Social Entrepreneur, an Innovator and the Founder of the social start-up Nai Nami. Nai Nami is based in Nairobi, Kenya and gives disadvantaged youths of the Mathare Slum an opportunity to use their street skills and life stories to become Storyteller Guides who give tourists an opportunity to experience Nairobi through the eyes of a street child on an intimate walking tour through the city center. All of the youth involved with Nai Nami now have a job, earn a regular income and live a life free of crime. Nai Nami won the Traveller’s Choice Award 2020 by Viator and is rated as the #1 Tour in Nairobi on TripAdvisor.

Today’s conversation is with the inspiring Gina Steinhauser, founder and CEO of the Swiss Kombucha company. I first met Gina and her partner, Ed, who is also working with the company, a little over a year ago and I think they’re just two completely awesome and inspiring human beings. Gina’s life looked very different before she started the Swiss Kombucha Company: she got an MBA and worked in sales and HR. Creating Kombucha began as a passion and a hobby for Gina, and it was thanks to a combination of her savvy business brain, some fantastic research that she embarked on and a few fortunate twists of fate that she manifested her passion into a successful business and a full-time job. I find Gina’s story incredibly inspiring and hope that you will too. I also want to mention that if you live in Switzerland, or happen to be passing through here, I highly recommend locating a bottle of booch from the Swiss Kombucha Company so you can try it for yourself. It is hands down the best Kombucha that I’ve ever tried and the quality and purity of the ingredients is second to none. They use organic and local ingredients whenever possible, and don’t add any sugar or preservatives. It’s truly a beautiful product.

To learn more about the Swiss Kombucha Company, go to:

www.swisskombuchacompany.ch

May this episode bring you joy and inspiration!

FIND GINA

www.swisskombuchacompany.ch

IG: @swisskombuchacompany

FIND ME

www.leahsalinas.com

Instagram: @leah_salinas

ADDITIONAL ARTICLES ABOUT THE SWISS KOMBUCHA COMPANY
https://www.luzernerzeitung.ch/zentralschweiz/zug/eine-zuger-kleinbrauerei-will-mit-kombucha-wachsen-ld.1192697

EPISODE QUOTES

“With anything creative I think you have to really learn to prioritize the work and learn to not sweat the small stuff.” - Gina Steinhauser

“Life is about the journey and not the destination and it’s the same thing in a project...I can envision what my kombucha brewery will be like when it’s making ten million a year...but there’s so much interesting learning to do along the way and amazing people to meet and figuring out how things work, that are really a lot more interesting than having this perfect thing at the end.” - Gina Steinhauser

—

May this episode bring you joy & inspiration!

xo Leah

—

This podcast has been edited and produced by René G.

I’m so honored to have Sara-K Hannig Nour on the show today. Sara is the founder of Sara’s Organic Food, which is an organic food business based in Egypt. Sara’s Organic Food grows and distributes healthy and fresh farm produce and more to supermarkets in Egypt and directly to people’s homes via The Golden Box, which is a farm-to-home service that gives people access to this incredible produce on a weekly basis. The Golden Box is Egypt’s first farm-to-home delivery service, making Sara’s Organic Food a pioneer in the local food movement by reconnecting people to their food and where it comes from.

In 2017, Sara won the Cartier Women’s Initiative Award for the work that she’s done with her company. So it’s truly special for me to have someone like Sara on the show who created an organic farm and organic food business, which is not only a remarkable endeavor in and of itself, but has also had such a positive influence on so many human beings.

Enjoy this inspiring conversation with Sara-K Hannig Nour!

FIND SARA

www.sarasorganicfood.com

IG: @sarasorganicfood

FB: Sara’s Organic Food

FIND ME

www.leahsalinas.com

Instagram: @leah_salinas

THINGS WE MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE

www.sarasorganicfood.com

IG: @sarasorganicfood

FB: Sara’s Organic Food

The Golden Box

The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett

Black Seeds

EPISODE QUOTES

“If you’ve never had an Egyptian mango, I’d say you’d never had a mango.” - Sara-K Hannig Nour

“To me, creativity means being able to creating something that I’m passionate about and that will help others and that is good for the planet.” - Sara-K Hannig Nour

—

May this episode bring you joy & inspiration!

xo Leah

—

This podcast has been edited and produced by René G.

I’m really honored to share today’s guest. As I’ve shared before, one of my main intentions with this podcast is to promote the message that creativity doesn’t only play a role in the arts, and that you can live a life connected to your creative spirit, even when your day-to-day might not look that creative from an outsider’s perspective. Today’s guest, my dear friend Maria, is an amazing example of that. She works for an International Development Organization and is one of the most creative people that I know. She sets an amazing example that it’s still possible to remain connected to your creativity even while working in a 9-5. Although I will say that she very deliberately crafted a four day work-week for herself so that she could devote her Fridays to her creative endeavors, and during the interview we’re definitely going to get into how she achieved that and what her “Friday Makery,” as she calls it, looks like for her. Other than that, you’ll also hear how she really pours her creative energy into the work that she does for her job, which goes to show that you can remain creatively activated in all areas of your life, whether you’re working on your 9-5 or whether you’re working on your personal creative endeavors.

THINGS WE MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE

Nina Simone “Sinnerman”

EPISODE QUOTES

“There’s no better better feeling than when you’ve written something for someone that’s deeply personal to them or that they feel strongly about and you send the first draft back and they’re happy with it. For me that’s actually the same kick that I used to get out of writing prose creatively but actually a bit more of a kick.” - Maria

“I guess creativity doesn't always look the way you think it will. I used to hate anything practical - I even used to diss something by saying "it looks too practical" ie. where's the flare or fun in that? But I guess I learnt that actually getting concrete and practical, getting down to the specifics of how you're going to make something manifest is the key ingredient. I'm only able to start painting and drawing now because I've dropped the idea that it means I'll necessarily have to go insane or starve to death to do it. That's not the way it has to be and indeed, for most of us in the world who also have to earn a living you can only keep that flame alive and get stuff done if you bring plenty of structure and logic to the party.” - Maria

“Do something random. The point of creating is to create…It’s about just making things. It’s about carving out a bit of time. Even if you’ve got a few evenings, or one evening, or… all the time we spend watching telly, could we listen to something that’s like telly and is interesting and do art? It’s about trying to find those opportunities to mess around.” - Maria

“I think creativity is a process of embracing failure and just picking up whatever you’re doing and just doing it. And not worrying so much about getting the perfect time or the perfect moment that you miss any moment. Just seize what moments you’ve got and just making something.” - Maria

—

May this episode bring you joy & inspiration!

xo Leah

IG: @leah_salinas
www.leahsalinas.com

—

This podcast has been edited and produced by René G.

I have a wonderful interview to share with all of you today: a really rich conversation with my dear friend, Brooke Brasfield. Brooke is a Healer for the Healer, a Licensed Clinical Therapist and a Spiritual Guide. You probably all know the saying that you should put on your own oxygen mask first in the plane before helping anyone else. Well, this conversation dives really deeply into that concept. Brooke’s work is all about learning how to be devoted to ourselves first before we devote ourselves to others. She works with a lot of people who are focused on healing others: therapists, coaches, parents, yoga instructors, nurses, energetic healers, doctors… And she supports these people with taking their own energy and power back, so that they approach their work from a place that feels full. She has also recently come out with an incredible new offer called “Devoted” which is designed for the types of people I just mentioned, but also really anyone who wants to be guided back to themselves and the healer within. If you’re interested in exploring that, just see the notes below and you’ll find everything you need to know to get in touch with Brooke. And other than that, some things we dive into today are tapping into your creative power, feminine creativity, the relationship between the body and creativity, and how to give yourself the space to uncover what you’re really passionate about. Brooke has such a soothing, nurturing and wise presence and I feel like listening to her speak feels like a real balm to the soul.

Hello and welcome to my first ever solocast! I have to admit I was a little bit nervous about showing up for this one, which was actually kind of perfect, because today’s episode is all about THE POWER OF SHOWING UP to our creative intentions, especially when we don’t fee like it. I dive into a few tools that can making showing up easier when you feel that resistance creeping in. And I also talk about the magic that can unfold once me move past that resistance and we simply show up, regardless of how we feel in the process.

Enjoy the episode!

xo Leah

FIND ME

www.leahsalinas.com

Instagram: @leah_salinas

THINGS I MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE

Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coaching

Jill Badonsky

—

This podcast has been edited and produced by René G.

Teresa Morillas is a Nutritional Counselor and a Holistic Health Coach. She’s one of the most qualified and knowledgable health coaches that I’ve ever come across. Just to give you a sense of her qualifications, I’ll share some of them here: she has a Master’s Degree in Food Engineering from the University of Almería in Spain, where she also earned a Master’s Degree in Agronomy. She also has a Master of Advanced Studies in Nutrition and Health from the ETH University in Zurich, Switzerland. She received an Immunology Certificate from Rice University. She received her Holistic Nutrition Health Coach certificate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, where she also took advanced courses to become a Hormone Health Specialist. And finally, she’s currently deepening her connection to the mind-body relationship by studying for a Mind-Body Eating Coach Certification at the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.

Teresa is currently offering coaching to private clients and also has an amazing and incredibly informative blog, you can learn more about both of those things here: www.yourlifeonaplate.com

One of the reasons I wanted to have Teresa on the show is because I believe that feeling good and in balance within our bodies is such an essential part of tapping into our peak creative potential.
