Crossing borders in space: the success of international business partnerships

The last episode of the "Down to Space" podcast series puts the spotlight on the Business Coaching workstream of the EU Global Action on Space. Throughout the duration of the project, the European Commission has facilitated the formation of international partnerships between EU and non-EU space companies and stakeholders. Some of the protagonists of such partnerships, from Europe as well as other regions of the world, were invited to share their experiences with us and discuss how the EU Space Programme is shaping their partnerships.

IRIS2 and satellite connectivity: avenues for EU-Africa cooperation

The first episode of Down to Space focuses on Europe’s space-based connectivity programme named IRIS², an acronym for Infrastructure for Resilience, Interconnectivity and Security by Satellite.

Featuring Anas Hanan - Policy Officer at DG DEFIS, the Directorate-General of the European Commission covering the Defence industry and Space sectors - we explore the new opportunities the constellation provides for Africa, building on the current partnership between Africa and the European Union in the field of space.
