Michael works at the at the University of Oslo at the Clinical Effectiveness Research Group, and gastroenterologist at Oslo University Hospital. He is also an Associate Editor of Annals of Internal Medicine and chair of the Clinical Research Center, Department of Transplantation Medicine at Oslo University Hospital. One of his latest papers was the groundbreaking NordICC treal on screening colonoscopy in the New England Journal of Medicine. Thomas runs the endoscopy unit at Hamburg university hospital, is involved in many endoscopic research projects and has had long time experience as editor. He is also involed in various online projects, both internationally (Endoscopy On Air) as well as in Germany (podcast GastroGeplauder).
