There’s also the small matter of record-breaking Wrexham AFC accounts. Liam was one of a few journalists invited to the media briefing and he takes through the key points including a £33.33 million turnover, a 24% increase from the previous year. Losses have gone up to £14.84 million and the Kop will cost just shy of £70m. The lads are all dizzy with excitement as the Championship fixtures are released! Wrexham will return to this level for the first time in 43 years...but how will we get on? Is the first month the toughest of the lot?

#WxmAFC open their Championship season with a trip to Southampton on August 9 (12.30pm), before hosting West Brom on Aug 16th.

⚔️ We host Sheffield United on Boxing Day, six days after visiting Swansea City.

The other festive fixtures see us host Preston North End (29th) and travel to Blackburn Rovers (Jan 1st).

The season concludes with the visit of Middlesbrough to the Cae Ras on May 2.
